Red Onion Saloon

Skagway, Alaska

Originally built in 1897, and used as a bordello, the Red Onion Saloon moved to its current location in Skagway in 1914.  Today, the Red Onion Saloon is a restaurant, bar and museum.  Some tales include shadowy spirits  watering plants, footsteps heard on the second floor and the scent of strong perfume.  One tale suggests that it is a prior owner of the bordello who appears to be watering the plants on the second floor wearing perfume.

Golden North Hotel

Skagway, Alaska

Located in Skagway, Alaska, this hotel was originally built in 1898.  In 1908, the hotel was moved to where it is currently located in Skagway.  During this move, a golden dome was constructed, and in 1997 the hotel was renovated...and the ghost stories surrounding this hotel have remained.
