Pocatello High School

Connecticut, Oakdale, United States

Built in 1893, this high school is shrouded by a number of ghost stories. Two of the stories involve the locker room just beneath the stage. In one case, the lead actress in a play was strangled in the locker room by a jealous understudy. The understudy simply went on the stage and took the murdered girl’s place. If one stands on the balcony at night and shines a red light on center stage, he will be confront by a girl in a polka dot dress. In the other story, a girl was waiting for an audition and was raped and killed by an unknown man. Today, if one is in the locker room when all is quiet, he will hear rapid breathing and faint moans. Often, there are allegedly cool breezes accompanied by the feeling of fingers brushing lightly across the neck and shoulders.

Bloody Mary’s Cabin

Long ago, a young girl named Mary committed suicide when the moon was full. Today, during a full moon, if one travels to the cabin, looks in the mirror and says “Bloody Mary” three times, Mary will return and wreak havoc on the cabin.

The White Lady

Connecticut, Monroe, United States

The “White Lady,” as she is often called, is most commonly seen standing in the road. She is often hit by oncoming cars, but much to the drivers’ surprise, their cars never receive damage. There are numerous other reports of demons and other ghosts in the cemetery.

Lightning Rods

Connecticut, Harwington, United States

If one takes a picture inside this cabin, objects that resemble lightning rods appear. No one has yet been able to explain why.

Old Trinity Church

Brooklyn, Connecticut, United States

Behind the graveyard is a small path that leads to a cross-shaped clearing. The animals that make this clearing their home are thought to be possessed–so is the church. Allegedly the serial killer, Mike Ross, buried his victims behind the church and in blood wrote, “I love little girls.” These women are thought to be the cause of the paranormal activity that exists there today.
