Family Barn Murders

Mishawaka, Indiana

Over 200 hundred years ago, a family of seven lived in this barn. One brutal night, six of the family members were shot with muskets, while the seventh died, hiding in a closet. The family now haunts the house in the exact locations of the murders--the closet, the windowsill, and the doorway. In these places one may hear the screams and cries of young children. On the staircase, the third step has been broken for more than two hundred years; every attempt to fix it has failed.

In this house once lived a man, his wife, and their servant. Early one morning, the insane maid hanged herself in the basement near the freezer. Shortly thereafter, the wife shot her husband and then killed herself. Employees now report seeing soda fountains fill glasses on their own, toilets flushing, and flickering lights. Almost every employee, however, constantly hears a whispery "Jobs done, go home now."

Former Location of Holy Family Hospital

La Porte, Indiana

Located near St. Joseph's Church is the former Holy Family Hospital. During the Civil War, it was used as a hospital for wounded Union soldiers. Today, many see men dressed in Civil War uniforms walking around the neighborhood.

Searching Spirits

Two elderly people died peacefully in this house many years ago. Unfortunately, their spirits are not resting the same way. Inhabitants of the house have heard voices of the two spirits. One of the spirits is said to hang around in search of his son.
