She was then struck by lightning that left her shocked imprint on the window. When the window was changed the imprint came back. They painted over it, still, it came through. So they boarded it up. About two years ago a man that lived in the house was found dead by the bedroom door of a heart attack. They do not know what could of caused it. God must still be angry!

During the early twentieth century, Louisville had the highest tuberculosis rate in the country, so a hospital was opened. Many of the patients remained here until they died. The dead bodies were pushed down tunnels to the bottom of the hill where they were then carried off and buried. After the vaccine for tuberculosis was discovered, the hospital became a nursing home that is also now closed. Now, an elderly woman may be seen running from the building with bleeding wrists and ankles; she begs for someone to get her out of that place. Many have also seen people peeking out of third floor–the residential ward–windows.

Today, the television emits a green light from the screen when it is unplugged. Lights flash on and off, footsteps are heard, and the bed in the master bedroom seems to vacillate between sides of the room.

When the groom was called away to serve in the Civil War, his bride told him she would not leave the window until he returned. When the soldier arrived home a few years later, he was told that his wife had become ill and died in her sleep. He closed the window and died in the same room of a broken heart. Today, the shutters of that window cannot be opened. The ghosts are also said to cause many traffic accidents in the area.
