A former owner of this house was the captain of a sea-faring vessel that was credited with sinking a pirate's ship. A year after this battle, the captain disappeared. The house has changed ownership several times since then, mainly due to the hauntings the house possessed. In 1993, which was exactly 200 years after the disappearance of the captain, the son of the house awoke to get a drink.
