The woman�s lover one, leaving the lighthouse operator alone. The operator stayed in solitude and died after many years. Other operators of the light house have reported hearing someone walking up the stairs toward the light. After many years, the lighthouse was decommissioned and abandoned. Still, however, sailors have reported being able to see the light.
