Airport High School
The original part of this high school is said to be haunted by the ghost of George Pair, the school’s first principal. It is said that Mr. Pair frequently appears in the hall wearing a dark suit with a red tie. His wife who still teaches at the school says that George has told her he just wishes to protect the students. He closes the doors of teachers that work late. He follows students and teachers to their cars after late night activities. It is said that one may hear Mr. Pair’s footsteps walking through the hall though the halls were carpeted many years ago. It is said that this activity was caught on video by a group of adventurous teachers and students in 1994.
Hello everyone, do you believe in bloody mary?? Well if you don’t then you better because my friend went in the bathroom and say bloody mary 47-100 times and she died that night and her face was all scratch up. After we found her lying died on the bathroom floor and she was not quick enough to run away from the bathroom. She lived in South Carolina. In Summervill, now her ghost hunts the whole houses in her old neigboorhood that she died in.

My friend went to Airport High School and she said that she actually thought that one day she saw him. That’s really weird you know. But I definentely believe her because she wouldn’t lie about this kind of thing.

Yeah the Bloody Mary thing is totaly fake because i’ve tried it a lot of times. Cause you all know that when you play Truth or Dare someone always gets dared to go in the bathroom and turn around 3 times and say bloody mary. I’m still here and i get that dare all the time. As for the principal thing i think its really cool and i’d like to see that tape.

i go to airport high right now.
last year when the school was doing their trick or treat lane my teacher sent us to her car beside the football field and we had to walk down the 300 hall. when we were talking down the hall we heard a door close and we turned around and nothing was there. and then the locks on the lockers started to rattle.

And what it comes for Bloody Mary, I do not know what the story is. I think I could try it. It is not the crazyest thing I have done in my bathroom..
I do not belive anyhting will happen. I have seen many ghosts in my life, but in things such as these, I do not belive. I remember as a child when everybody else had watched the movie Candyman, I went in to a single room with a large mirror nailed to the wall and then I said Candyman many times and then started to scream like hell. I screamed and made a ramble in that room so the other kids that were behind the door paniced and run all over the place. Of course nothing had happend but they did not know that.. They screamed so loud that our head teacher came down stairs. While the others screamed I went back to my seat. Of course no-one noticed me. I giggled when the others went to the room where I have been and started to scream again. My techer spotted me and asked what was happening. I sayed I do not have the slightest idea. Then the other saw me too. I grinned to them. they let it go and apoligized for the head master. So that was for the Candyman. Now I may go to bathroom to visit Bloody mary as well.

u no i sorta believ in the bloody marry thing cause my friend and her bf went into the bath room at seperate times and the both did it my friend came out w/a huge scratch down her face and her bf had scratches all down his bak and 1 acrost his face. i was to scared to go in and try so i decided not to however wen i went in to go to the bath room the was a face in the mirror i was scared lol but hey im a chicken lol so as for that, thats were i stand and 4 the princable thing i ttly wuld wanna c the tapes but i wuldnt ever go to that skool!!!

i heard a bot blody mary. i heard you had to say bloody mary 3 times and then say this is your baby and pretend you have her baby in your arms and pretend you are stabbing it to death. You will see a woman with a white dress on with blood on her and she is making a face at you. then i heard in a book that you say bloody mary 47 to 100 times and if you annoy her or you are disturbing her she will get mad and shadder the glass. you have to do it with the lights off though or it won’t work. i did it with my cousins, aunt and sister and i did the 1st one and nothing happened.

Where I live there’s a Middle School named La Cumbre Middle School and I have heard that it is hunted,
It takes place in the auditorium. The story that I heard is about a boy who died in the auditorium in the 1950’s, they say that a beanbag felt on top of his head. Some people says they see him wondering at the catwalk.

Hello all, to any one who does not believe in the legend of Airport high school, it is true. My friend and i were in ROTC and were we walking from the stadium back to the ROTC building and we looked down toward the hall where you see the eagle on the wall and we saw him. He just walked from the corner and into the wall. That was the first time i saw him and it sent chill down my spine.

Ok i go to dutch fork and iv heard about Airports ghosts….if anyone reads this…i wanna know if you can see the video of the taping those studends did in 1994?!?! and by the way…has anyone heard of Satans tree out in chapin on Amrick’s Ferry road?…its this tree out in Chapin…on the side of the road there is this feild…and in the middle a great oak tree with no leaves on it…and about a 5 yard radius starting from the tree and moving outward is a perfect dirt circle…nothing goes into this circle…like if you place a bug near it, it will quickly crawl away..there have been many wiccans that go to the tree and they say it is were Satan goes to think…if you also place something random into the circle(like a piece of paper or something) it will be gone the next day. welll yeah thats all i know and the legendary haunted OLD STATES ROAD near sumter.

c’mon ppl. ghosts are real but bloody mary and candyman??? those are just made up stories to scare little kids into behaving. i believe in ghosts or “unsettled spirits.” seen quite a few of them. they are everywhere. those who havent seen white noise should see it and watch the commentary on dvd. it will lay out a bunch of things and scare everyone straight. but to each his own.

I have heard one other school ghost story. It “occured” in the original Lexington Elementary School. For those of you who know what the school looks like, it is the older building situated closest to the road. Anyway, supposedly (back along time ago or whatever) there was a handy capped boy, who was in a wheel chair, who went there. He got picked on a lot. One day when he was in class (On the second story) the teacher had to step out of the class. One of the students immediately started picking on him. The bully took his pencil from him and was teasing about throughing it out the window. The bully dropped the pencil and it landed on the ledge. The bully told him if he wanted it back he would have to get it himself. When the boy tried to get it he fell out the window. Supposedly there have been reports of people seeing him in the window reaching for his pencil.

This is so true. Airport is haunted, I not so sure that it is just the principal. There has been many sittings. One night after a football game we heard voices following us. Im to chicken to turn around but my friend wasent.She went back to see if some one was following us. No one was there,we heard the big gym door slam. We took off screaming. If I did not know in better there was a shadow of a young male standing in the door. Again I wasent going back too see if this was a real person.You just have to be there one Friday night late and you tell me…. I know that it want be me!

i dont go to airport, but it’s not far from me, neither is lexington.
people at pelion high say it’s haunted, but i dont see how since it wasnt built that long ago. the people that stay for the lock-ins for jrotc and other stuff keep saying they hear things on the 400 and 500 halls (500 hall is where the gym and a couple class rooms are) i personally haven’t heard anything, but im thinking that it might have been from the middle school (which was the old highschool/middleschool). not completely sure though.

well my sisster used to go to airport and i go there now im only a sophmore and have encountered the gohst 4times!! yea …. its is kinda freaky at 1st when allof the suden ura there late after a game halpin lock up and u look and all the doors are being pulled on like they are being checked over to make sure they are locked and then u seee the lockes on the lockers goin all weird!!

Actually parts of the Pelion High School are quite old, but age doesn’t matter for a haunting. However I went there and never saw anything scarier then my math teacher (shudder)

i think that many ghosts haunt school and churches, is this high school old? my high school gets haunted in a part of it called oakbrook, it used to be a mansion just outside of the school, the man who owned it left it to one of the old head teachers. it was said that a little girl was stabbed there, she has haunted the basement in oakbrook ever since. scary?

Heh, as a child in grade school I was a big fourth grader and we used to pick on the 3rd graders… A friend of mine locked 2 girls in the bathroom for the whole bloody mary thing… We taped a string to the light switch and had other girls stand on the toilets so when the lights went out they could flush them simotaniously…. *Strangest thing* we couldn’t get the door unlocked to let the girls out… ALL FOUR girls were beating on the door screaming after doing bloody mary… After the principal finally got the door open.. all the girls ran out their seperate ways… “we looked in the bathroom” and there were blood trickles all over the mirror.. wall by the sinks and the floor… “Not like alot.. but enough..” THe principal thought that maybe the “fright” of the situation caused on of the children to have a nose bleed, but the children were checked and none of them had….To this day if you ask one of those girls what happened in that bathroom.. they will not speak a word… as a matter of fact my bestfriend… is *Mute* hasn’t spoken a word since the incident… yes we got in trouble “loads” for what we did but we were children and didn’t really see any harm in it… for about 2 years after the incident..I had horrible nightmares… known in children as *night terrors* where you have a bad dream and wake up in a paralized state most of the time.. cold sweat and crying.. screaming… i don’t remember any of the dreams… but i was hospitalized for it… eventually they went away.. but i’ll never forget that day in school.. and as for the principal guy walking the halls… he’s probabley waiting for some kids to mess up so he can chop their heads off… LOL

hi my name is savanna im 11 years old and i to have experinced bloody mary i said it only 3 times in the mirror with the light off and blood went all over the walls and i saw her comming tward me but i am happy im still alive today it was so freaky to me i cried and panniced but well when i was younger about 7 she came up to me and started to talk to me and i talked back to her and me and bloody mary were friends until now but every night while my mom would put me to bed i would be sitting up in my bed talking to bloody mary and my mom would ask me in the morning who was i talking to i told my mom i couldent tell her so she was worried and ya as i got older i didnt belive her any more and we wernt friends any more so now from this day on she is trying to get back at me so i think im gonna start beliving her now before she ends up killing me like all the rest plz if u have children keep them in your room at night because she’s after them i jest know it so if u dont beliving bloody mary u will now i hope never say it more than 3 times plz jest to keep safe thank u.

we are sophmores at airport high school, and we’ve had friends that have seen the ghost-lockers shaking on the old 100 hall-the works. principles and teacher have seen him, and an old janitor,who used to be his friend when he was living, talked to him as a ghost. basically our school is full of nutcases and crackheads, or hippie potheads *cough, cough* jake. Hey guys,
I went to Pair elementary off of platt springs and can remember being freaked out at the painting of George I Pair always staring me down. The painting is one of those that the eyes follow you regardless, (scary as a kid). I moved across I-26 to attend Fulmer middle school where i played sports year round, but my point in writing is that i wrestled my 7th and 8th grade years across the road at Airport. I would sometimes have track then wrestling practice then basketball, so i would be at the school late in the OLD gym… I believe the school setup has changed since i wrestled (late 90’s), but I recall several nights waiting alone outside for my ride to pick me up with the eerie feeling that someone was waiting with me. Several times in the two year span i would hear the doors rattle, but i just believed it was pressure changes from AC or drafts. I was outside one evening waiting on my ride when i swore that i was being watched while standing near the breezeway to the old gym and i saw something over my shoulder… as i turned quick to see what it was i saw a shadow turn the corner on the other side of the gym headed towards the back of the school. I would be lieing if i said i wasnt concerned, but my ride showed up right about that time. The story that really got me was the week of our match with swansea perhaps? I was working out in the old gym alone, cause i came late from track as i was was on one of the machines i caught a cold draft and the hair on my neck stood up, my stomach dropped and i looked around, but saw nothing unusual after two quick glances the door leading to the hallway slammed shut and shook twice. I have never believed in ghost, so i ran to the door to let my coach know i was still in there, but noone was in the gym… anywhere its a fairly long hallway so i would have seen him. After a quick sip of water down by the wrestling mats i got chills again so i jogged back to the gym for a final weigh in only to find that the doors had been locked and yet again know sign of anyone. My family moved to Lexington that year so i never attended Airport as a student, but did visit an amazingly scary old lawyers house in lexington right before jake knotts bridge. I live in Chapin and attend CHS. there is no satan tree. thats a bunch of bs. It is true however than many students have died at Chapin from various activities.

Bloody Mary is nothing more than a Urban Legend. If you notice most of the postings refer to “my friend did it” or “I know someone who did it and they came out with scratches on their face”. Well duh, they scratched their own face trying to scare someone. If there is a malevolent force that is powerful enough to return from the dead why would they need a mirror? Why would you need to go into a darken room alone? Why would calling out Bloody Mary x times annoy it? If this were true I believe there would be other things that annoy it more, like being dead. Use some common sense, dead people don’t hurt you, it’s the living that you have to worry about. Also, they mention that someone in 1994 filmed the “ghost” at Airport High School. This would be a first, why you don’t see it is because it doesn’t exist. I don’t doubt that people’s imaginations run wild while they walk through a dark school. Old buildings crack and creek especially in the evening when the school is cooling down. Generally the heating units don’t run at night in order to save money. The combination of that and the heat absorbed from the sun causes the wood, metal, etc. to cool therefore contracting which is movement in which sound can be produced. A combination of these plus a wild imagination = a great story.

I used to live in SC and i know about the ghost of airport high, but never seen it.. i believe it though. You never know whats out there until u actually see it for your self. Any as far as the bloody mary goes.. “UNDECIDED” i did it when i was a kid ( who hasnt) and nothing happend. when i said it 3 times it freaked me out. so i dont know.. maybe maybe not.. I go to AHS right now and i have had many run ins with Pair. one day i was sitting in a teachers class room on the 100 hall and the door was locked out side. no one else was in the room with me and the door opened by its self. i was wondering what happened so i got up and walked to the door. when i was about half a yard away from the the door it slammed in my face. i was terrified so i went to open the door and the door handle was ice cold and when i walked out into the hall it was cold (and it was like the 1st 2 weeks of school my senior year) i shut the door and went up to the office. i saw some where that some people got some sittings of Pair on tape I WANT TO SEE IT! many kids at AHS have had run ins… late at night practices games trick of treat lane… its scary going to a school thats haunted.

okay let’s start with the first encounter…last year my freshman year…i was sitting in mr. smith’s class(300 hallway) in class…and the door just automatically opens and shuts and then we hear locks on the lockers banging against the lockers…the 2nd encounter…last year my freshman year…i stayed after for a home varsity football game and we had to walk from the old gym through the school to get to the doors by the auditorium and the drama room b/c the doors were locked…and we were walking down the hall by the JROTC room and the same thing happened…but yeah…it kinda freaks me out…OH AND BY THE WAY IF YOU HAVE MRS. CHINNES (THAT’S THE OLD PRINCIPAL’S OFFICE)

well I see no one read the message or if they saw the grammar part, is illeterate as well. i think I may have seen someone I loved very much and I am sure that he is okay. The way I see it is they have never bothered me so why would I bother them. If they want to be seen they will. Don’t go around bugging them. Like if your lost, you will make sure you ask for directions if you really want to, and if they can’t tell you, you probably wouldn’t be angry at that person. I do enjoy hearing the stories though, some of these comments are funny. And some of this keyboard slang is hard to read…sooooo,it might not get read due to the simple fact that I am not in the mood to read a puzzle right now. And for the bloody mary thing, everyone is annoying the **** out of her and if you did that to me and I could not get away, AND you were the 100th person to do that to me THAT DAY, I would scratch your eyes out too.

ok i have no idea how the bloody mary thing started going. but i do think its true bcs me and my friend got dared to go into the bathroom with light of and door closed and turn around 7 times saying bloody mary and we both got [ not scratches] but these weird moving marking on our opposite legs and the markings looked like crawling spiders. we started to FREAK OUT!!!!!!

hi im a graduate of airport high school and i do believe in the ghosts at airport. one day my sister and i where at the school about 5 yrs ago my sister who went to elementry school and she caught the bus to springdale well the bus came at 6:30 every morning so we were standing on the 200 - 500 hallway when we started to hear someone talking we knew that no one was in the school cause no one got there till 7:00 and it sounded like someone singing so i told my sister to stay by the door while i looked around the corner to see if someone was there noone was there so i went and stood with her then all of a sudden the lights in the yearbook room started going on and off and we started to smell a weird scent and carts rolling down the hallway and all the locks on the lockers started to move.so i called my mom which works there to come down the hallway and when she went into the room no one was there and the lights stopped.
another experience with the ghost was one day i was sitting in mr durrets class and all of a sudden the door just slams open and and then shuts really quick and the signs in his classroom started to move and things where starting to fall and it was really cold in there.

im a sophmore at airport and first semester of my freshman year(last year)i was in my third block science class and i sat in front of the door, the door opened all by its self. nobody could have opened it from the hallway because ms. spencer kept her door locked, the only way it could be opened was from inside the classroom and nobody had gotten up or was even close to the door. but anyway. it swung halfway open, then pushed to. this was on the old 100 hall. it was weird. we were taking a test and everyone engaged into a conversation about it.

i was also a junior varsity cheerleader and after football and basketball games gym b would get really cold.
its usually always freezing in there, but it would get 10 times colder than usual, it was weird. on the old 100 hundred you could also hear bangs in the bathroom when nobody was in either of them, the lock on the lockers would bang and sometimes fly open. if thats not enough proof for you asses then youre effin retarded.
id believe it if a good percentage of students who attend/attended ahs told me it was haunted.
mrs. chinnes room is the old principal’s office.(shudder)

hey guys i have a story to tell you it is based on a true story you know how i know because i was there. one night on holloween i went to stop at this old house that has been there since 1998 i was born since 1994. we thought is was normle untile we went up to it i was about 10 years old there was three people that livid in that house an old lady an old man an a young girle here name ixs jennifer. it has been there so long that they have a walk every year we went there one year an will i was standing by the lil girls room i saw here by the closet and she smiled at me i waved at here when i was lil i yoused to talk to dead people. that night i left i stoped at another house and she was there she came up to me and started to talk to me i rember she asked where i lived and i told here and since then i tend to see here but my parents dont here or see her when i come home frome school i here her jumpen up and down the couch. that lil girl died from a merder. she told me till this day she is my friend.

i just graduated from airport high school and for all of you guy… yes they stories of the old principal is true. his office used to be located off the 300 hall way just after the breeze way (which is now the largest art room). he had a heart attack while reading over the schools alma mater(SP??) you can see him late at night like after football games and play practices. i know at first they said that he wouldnt go into the new parts of the school but i call ******** on that one because my drama classes were held in the auditorium and my teacher sent me and my friend up on the catwalk to go change out the gels for the lights. well we had to climb a latter and then it was complete dark, i told my friend that i would walk across to the light because since i was a senior ive been up there and i knew where the lightswitch was and the room was completely empty at the time and i felt something rub up against my arm and when i turned on the lights there was absolutly nothing in that room. so yeah wanna say the stories are fake try going there for 4 years and not having a story about him from there. every student sees him at least once while there. at least every one i knew did… except for one but shes just weird. LOVE YA! anyways, yeah they are real and for all u dumbass motherfuckers who keep talking about bloody marry why dont yall go start a new page for her, we dont care, ppl came to this page to read about AIRPORT HIGH SCHOOL not some stupid bloody marry… ooo me gonna get scratched up in the middle of the night for saying that **** OMG I WANT MY MOMMY.

I went to Airport from 85-88.I was in the marching,so i stayed after school a good bit.I have never seen or heard anything.I have even been there after football games late at night.And i have never heard any of my friends say they have seen anything either.

I’ve seen him once…or i think I did. It was the summer before my freshman year [2005], and I was doing a choral camp one week. We were given like 10 minute breaks, so I decided to go exploring. I get to the 500 hall near the Media center and Lola’s room [room 520], and I’m on the right side of the hall. The next room I go by, which is now Mrs. Goings’s room [519], I hear someone say “HEY” beside me, and I turn and in the window, I see a man’s head. I immediately turn back, thinking it’s someone telling me that I’m not supposed to be down there [the janitors told me that many times before]. I turn back, and he’s gone.
You think the ghost isn’t real? Well, that’s your problem. He’s real. He’s at Airport. Go down one of the old halls alone, and you just may see him.

I attended Airport High School in the 70’s. One summer morning after cheerleading practice, I was waiting inside the school for my ride home. I heard footsteps coming down the hallway. I could tell they were the sound of men’s shoes. When I looked behind me there was no one coming down the hallway. Needless to say I went out the doors and waited on my ride outside. AHS haunted? Definitely!

I went to Airport. and these are true. i was a member of the rotc program so many times i stayed well after hours and i frequently heard footsteps. ive even seen lockers open and close on thier own
