Angels and Chains
This house is said to be the location of many poltergeist. There was even the sighting of an angel in this house once in 1987. Reportedly, the apparitions dragged chains across the floor and would rock in squeaky rocking chairs. It is alleged that the house is very renowned through out the town.

Bparanormal was not able to investigate the haunted insane asylum in Florrisant, MO, as it had been torn down years ago. We did however Investigate a private residence where we got the most e.v.p’s we have ever gotten. This was a great location, and the team accomplished a lot.
To see the e.v.p’s visit our website at:

In case anybody wants to know the scoop on why Chesterfield Manor looks so ****** its all right in this site. You may have to read it twice because it can be kind of hard to follow if you don’t read legal pieces everyday. I had to look a couple times. I hope you all can access the site ok, hopefully it shows up on this post so you can get into it.

Hi. My Mom just sent me this link. I must say I found it interesting. I live in Carrollton, and have for 39 years, and know of the house mentioned here. It is next door to another house, both inside a fence and un-accessable.
As for the “Dover Mansion” – it is not in Dover and therefore should not be called Dover mansion. It is 6 miles from Waverly, in the country. I have been inside this building. I saw no blood stains. Nothing was mentioned about hangings or a cult and nothing freaky happened. The cult rumors are not verified. No evidence exists of this building being a cult house. Back in the 70’s, there was a cult around the Waverly and Carrollton areas. However, this was BEFORE the mansion outside Waverly was ever built. The man and woman who live there now are caretakers for the owners. They try to take care of the building but have alot of trouble doing this because some very rude people have vandalized it many times. They watch from windows to see who is pulling down into their driveway and very seldom answer the door. The many times I have been there, I have never been shot at. Not the last time, not the first time. The caretakers want to be left alone and be able to live in peace. Oh, and there is no garage behind this building.
There are a few other haunted houses in Carrollton, you just have to know where to look.

The angels and chains house is really haunted. i drive past it every day on my way to school, and it sends chills down my spine every time i look at it. I actually do have a personal experience with the house, and i still have nightmares of the horrific event. I was driving home late one night after a geometry studay at a friends house, and my truck broke down about 1/4 mile from the Angels and Chains house. I walked on the road to the nearest house, and the only house light up was the Angels and Chains house. This was weird to me, because i had always heard the house was haunted, but nonethless, it was late and cold and i needed a phone. So i knocked on the door and no one entered, so i went inside. Immediately it felt like a gust of wind shot through the room, kind of like the gust of wind that hits you every time you smell belgium waffles, but that is a different story. I heard a sound upstairs, and proceeded to walk up the cat-feeces covered stairs. About the time i hit the 3rd stair I heard a woman’s voice scream and the lights flickered and went off. I was there in complete darkness. I was scared so much I screamed for my dog Max to come out of the truck and come save me. I ran out of the house and stayed in my truck untill a car came and helped me. I was so scared that i would never eat waffles again.

Ok, i’ve got a scary story to tell everyone today!
Last night, without my mom’s permission, I made the trip to the Dover Mansion near Waverly. I fired up my 67′ Ford truck, and made the track. I pulled up to the driveway, and immediately i heard 4 gunshots and a voice scream. i think she said “wafflemetimbers, or something like that”. i thought to myself “oh no, someone just got murdered”. so i ran to the back of the house and looked for any sings of severed appendages. i realized that the person that shot the gun was a crazed woman with only one eye and a tattoo of a swastika on her forhead. she said for me to “get the hell out or die”. and i was so scared, i ran into the house and hid. she came back into the house and fired 2 more gunshots at me. i was hiding in a room with chains on the walls and blood splattered all over the floor. i smelled the hint of belgium waffles in the closet, but i was too scared to check because i had already peed my pants. i whipped out my track phone, but there was no service. i thought to myself “oh ****, im going to die tonight”. it was so freaky and my dead dog came and visited me and convinced me to jump out the window…so i lined up in my triple jump form and plastered through the window..a whole 28 feet one inch. i got in my car and drove back…this was the 2nd time i figured i’d never smell the smell of belgium waffles again!!!

Okay, explain to me this, I thought I would check google earth to see if you could see this house or who owned it, and as soon as you type in the address it types Maharishi Vedic University in automatically and shows the mansion.

I remember when I was a teenager growing up in the 80’s and hearing talk about there being a cult in Waverly, I just thought it was talk, I didn’t have a clue as to where this place was at and I never thought it was this damn big, I was just thinking a big old run down 2 story house, and thinking not so wealthy people involved in this, Something just isn’t right here!! This place has really got me puzzled… Why does someone build a big mansion looking like that way back off the hwy in basically the middle of nowhere if something wasn’t going on, then the people just up and leave and then it just sits there and getting all run down, sounds very weird to me, why wasn’t it put up for sale when the people left, instead of letting it sit there and get to looking like this? I find this very strange. Maybe the whole town is involved in this, As far as Waverly people being different, the more I think about it, they are, I dated a guy who grew up in Waverly, for about 5 years and he never said a word to me about this, I never asked about the cult group that I had heard about,(we still talk and you bet your *** Im going to ask him the next time I talk to him) but get this a friend of his lives right up 24 hwy just a about 1/2 a mile from this place which im sure can been seen from his place and the few times I was there nothing was ever mentioned about this place, There was something mentioned one time about a guy who lived in a house back behind him how he drank all the time and was different but I just thought it was this other house sitting back there, I even stayed the night out at his friends place, And the more I sit here and think about being up there, the people that were there seemed a little different,(at the friends house) Now I don’t know what to think. Gives me the eebie jeebies!!
Here is how I come to get really interested about this place…A couple of weeks ago, Several of us at work were talking one day about houses for sale and one of the guys mentioned this place, so I get online and start looking and the house is listed with swinger real estate company in Marshall Mo. There are a few pictures of the inside online. I decided to do some research on this place, there isn’t much out there, the most that I have actually found has been right here, Last week I drove up to this place, went all the way up to the house even down by the lake area, I didn’t drive around back because the drive looked a little ruff and I wasn’t in a 4×4. I didn’t pick up any bad vibes, I even got out of my car and took a few pics. I found this place to be very interesting, (I like old houses) the outside is run down. There are no curtains some of the windows are half open from the top, looks like stuff pilled up in there, I didn’t actually look in the windows. Wasn’t quite that brave, There is a lot of people who say that there are care takers living there, I called my real estate agent just curious, She got a hold of the listing agent and that agent told her not just anyone could go look at it and that the agent has a hard time getting the people living in it to show it, Now how strange is this?? Sounds like to me these care takers are just a creepy as to what ever the place is really all about, if it’s up for sale why do they have a hard time being able to show this place??
Well a few of my co-workers and I decided to go up there last night, I’m thinking that there cant be anyone living there, All of this talk on here is just crazy is what I’m thinking on the way up there, When we get there we start down the drive not really feeling anything, but the closer we got I started feeling like someone was there, I be damned if that place wasn’t lit up like a Christmas tree!! As soon as we saw the lights, we stopped sat there for a very brief moment and didn’t go any closer, made it look like we were just lost , I wasn’t going any closer, This was 10 o’clock at night, Why the hell is the whole damn place lit up like this, This big ole place 2 PEOPLE living in it and its all lit up, I find that VERY STRANGE!! One of my co-workers said she saw people walking around in there, I cant say that I saw but one figure looking out, As soon as I saw all of those lights I froze, I got the weirdest feeling, I was getting the hell out of there and that is just what we did, but it felt like someone was following us, there wasn’t a vehicle behind us, just felt like someone was there, we are going down 24 hwy headed back to Waverly get to a road and this truck pulls out real fast behind us, follows us into Waverly when we got to Casey the truck pulled in at Casey’s but then a white grand am came flying out of Casey’s right behind us, we are thinking oh ****…. This car would speed up then slow down, we get into Malta Bend and the car is was back so we Waite for it, then we get behind it, followed it all the way to Marshall, We decided this was a drunk drivers or someone who was high from the way he was driving and then where the car stopped at, In college circle in Marshall. Need I say more? So that was our journey to the dome!!! But I can’t seem to get this place out of my mind. I guess it’s just the curiosity inside of me. I DO FIND IT VERY CREEPY AT NIGHT!!!

So to all those wanting to know where the house is located, its on “groundhog road” the second gravel road to your right comming off E highway, you can’t see the house from the highway or the gravel road and you have to park and walk up the steep hill. I wouldn’t recommend this by any means…take my word for it. I had a curious night with my friends, I can hardly sleep some times because of that.

Ok, if it’s the house I’m thinking of, , “Johnathan” or whatever, is full of ****. He’s NEVER been in that house. It’s owned by Tad Pittman, my step-uncle, and used to be owned by Joe Pittman, Tad’s older brother. When I was little, my step-cousin Cody and I used to play upstairs in the two bedroom, attic, , and we’d go downstairs to get a drink or a snack or something, and when we’d go back upstairs, our stuff would be moved around.
When Joe moved out and Tad moved in, he lived there for two years, but he’s moved out now because a) he has a girlfriend and has moved in with her, and b) the house really freaked him out. According to him, the house was always cold, even with the heater on all the time in the winter, and the air conditioner OFF during the summer. He doesn’t recall seeing an angel or hearing chains, but there is a rocking chair upstairs and it does sound like it’s rocking sometimes. Likewise, late at night while he was sleeping, he often heard footsteps upstairs. In fact, he spent the night at our house a lot because he was so creeped out. Randi your full of ****, the mansion if not owned by him or them or whatever your lying about, you didn’t play in the make believe attic either. The mansion off 24 if you look up the address is listed as Mahirishi Vedic University its listed to the state as a hotel, but the owner has it listed for his use a university for yogic flying which is people who follow a deceased leader by the name of Mahirishi Yogi who developed the fake Yogic Flying the main guy Mahirishi Yogi passed away a while back and his fellow founder kept it going and kept buying/building golden domed building which supposedly allow yogic flying. Look up the adress and do real research come back with the same true information I did you can find from your state, on the internet, etc. There is not a legal vehicle there ever the van out back doesn’t move ever it has one seat in it, two people stay in the house as care takers. They obviously do something they dont want people to know about or they would call the police when people break out windows destroy there property and drive like maniacs in there front yard. Pretty sure I would call the cops, or for Gods sake put a gate out front. Some fishy stuff that even police wont talk about.

I am from carrollton and know of the house you are talking about it is very easy to get to and was once a doctors office. My in laws live right next door, and I went to school with the kids that grew up there…it is not a manison it is a white 2 story house on gravel rd 270 the secound house. the gravel road is right off E blacktop on the left! I belive someone is living there now but I am not sure. The dome thing in waverly is strange but people live their and I am sure they really like people pulling in their drive way all hours of the day and night. So show some respect it is their home not a circus attraction!
