Real Haunted House

Annie’s Road

Passaic County, New Jersey

A young girl by the name of Annie was said to have died on this road many years ago on her way to the prom. There are many other versions of this story. People have claimed to have seen her blood on the road, broken glass, and even her spirit wandering the area. It is unknown what the circumstances were surrounding the sightings (i.e. car speed, time of day, etc.).

The name of the road is called: Riverview Drive. It’s off Union Blvd. Where Little Falls, West Paterson and Totowa all meet.

P.S.
If your smart. You’ll stay away from that road! Totowa Police will have you ” cuffed ” in 2 minutes flat! Park your car and walk it. Nothing will happen to you, but, just bring a change of shorts in case you have an accident in your pants.

ANNIE*S ROAD IS IN NEW JERSEY

The story of Annie’s road is B.S. I grew up in West Paterson across the river from Annie’s Road (Riverview Drive) I and friends have ridden our bikes down this road and in the cemetery next to it from 12am to 3:30am and have never seen anything anywhere on the road or in the cemetery. We have even walked onto the island across from the road at those hours The island used to be an 19th century picnic and swimming area. Nothing there either except the cement picnic tables and holes with cement around them that were outhouses. They are still there. But as far as scary experience’s it ain’t happening. As for Ewing road it is an optical illusion, it is really uphill when you are at the stop sign but looks as if it is uphill due to the trees and land on either side and yes you will get a ticket.

Ewing road is an optical illusion. We have strung up plumb lines and they prove the land is downhill. It just appears to be going uphill. A survey of a topical map of new jersey will also prove the land on Ewing Road is going downhill. Check out a sight “rolling uphill” it explains it well, there are many places in the world were this illusion occurs.

The road is allegedly haunted by Annie, a young woman who lived in the area in the 60’s, not long before Route 80 was built thru the area. She was going to the prom and got into an argument with her boyfriend and left the car and began walking to her home on River View Dr. Along the way she was picked up by a bunch of sailors who raped and murdered her. The violent end to her life made her spirit uneasy, and so she began to haunt the local road, even possessing men who traveled along it. There were rumors of ghosts and apparitions long before then however, going back as far the colonial days. Is this story simply another urban legend of a haunted road?

Perhaps so, and if that’s all there was to Annie’s Rd, then the road would not have achieved the legendary status it now has. For starters, there have been numerous car accidents on this road. Realists would say that the road is dangerous. It has numerous twist and isn’t well lit. Locals claim it’s the curse of Annie. Perhaps they swerved to avoid her ghosts, or lost control after staring at her. Others think she may have possessed the driver and forced him off the road.

What about the red roof inn?? It is located in toms river, right next to the light. I have been there with my family, and there was various screams coming from the hallway of my floor. I went there when it was not the red roof inn, it was all eery looking and not very welcoming. I see why!! There have been many crimes there. Mostly murders, but there has also been reports of suicides. Many people have jumped out of the railing and drounded. There had also been many rapes in the 5th floor. There was also many reports of gun fighting in the bar area. Nearly thousands of people died in that hotel from crimes. It was built in the 1800’s and had a bad reputation since the day it was built. I think that it used to be a house of a rich family, which all got murdered. I think that because there are many screams of children and adults in just one room. I think they were rich because of all the modern detail that was there. But when i went there, it was all dirty and didnt have a bed in every room and no table. only a tv and a closet. I had to use a cardboard box as my dining table. It seemed as if there was no one watching over the building. I wonder why??

Binki if you want to do some reaserch on annies road the your better off doing it on your computer,I dont think that telling people that annies road is fun,is completely retarded.and yes binki tell your friends that annies road is indeed very curvy, and and there are many deer that jump out in to the road, and dont forget to tell theme also that you can easily hurt,or possibly die having fun on annies road.I dont think it sounds like fun anymore .SO STAY VERY FAR AWAY FROM ANIES ROAD!
