Real Haunted House

Aquia Church

Stafford County, Virginia

This church is the site of a locally well known apparition. According to legend, a woman was murdered many years ago in the church’s belfry. It is said that she may still be seen from time to time peering through the window.

When I was in high school my choir had to sing at the church for Christmas after the performance was over the bell started to go off and we had a lady scream, we all had no idea that the church was haunted until someone had told us about the haunting of the church which gave everyone goose bumps.

Me and one of my friends went there ghost hunting one night and we walked around the whole cemetary and didn’t see anything. That’s not to say its not haunted though. Would have really liked to see something. Some pretty cool headstones.

I live down the street from the church where me and all 3 of my kids were Baptized. It’s a beautiful church with alot of history! I would love to think it is haunted and I will be going there soon to check out the graveyard and take some pictures. I will post anything and everything I capture, if perhaps I do capture something.

Come now. I live there and I never even heard of that. I’m surprised though that no one has mentioned anything that goes on in Fredericksburg lol

In response to “Anna” The story of Silverthorn Creek is that of mysterious winds that blow really hard in and around this creek. There is a housing development now on Silverthorn Court, located off of Eustace RD near the HH Poole Middle School, The story of “Witches Pond” is located off of Telegraph Rd almost directly in back of Taylor’s Grocery. The road to it is gated and the landowner has a big gun, so don’t go there. Look it up on Google Earth
