Where did this source come from?! You have got to be kidding me, an Urban Legend no less…I highly doubt originated on Staten Island. Pathetic.

I live on arlo road in SI,3 years now, the only creepy thing here are the residents, all psychos and college kids. There are quite a few graveyards near hear, one right down the street from me. That place is quite creepy and a lot of the older graves have free mason symbols on them( near hillside ave & victory blvd, before it hits forest ave) More interesting locations are the abandoned monastery near st. johns college(in the wooded area in between the track and the college) and the old sea view hospital(across from the new one, its gated, but there are a few gaping holes.) Both of those places are incredibly creepy, and very decrepit, so be careful you don’t hurt yourself if you go at night.

This story is true I’ve been there and it is not about a man it is a women and if you sit in the car by the woods and look ahead you will see the ghost of a woman walking towards your car!!! I got so scared I left!!! And Arlo road is off of Amboy Rd in the middle!!! Go you will love it, and go at night!!!!

To all non believers about the haunting of BELLEVIEW in staten island , PLEASE LEAVE . Now… theres not only one story about this place theres about alot .. this place is 3oo years oldd .. way back . ofcourse there is gonna be cementerys there because people got killed and got buried right next to the spot .. that whole community in staten island is haunted .. its really big & theres about 46 buildings with 4floors , or basements or pathways .. iM TALKING ABOUT HUGEEE ! LIKE 10 MILES LONG ALL AROUND.. & Heres my facts about this place because i went there.. 1. The story about 2 boys getting burned in the stove is true.. & the boy in the left 2nd floor is noticable only at night.. because thats when he goes there.. im not talking about ghost , im talking about the restless spirit.. THERE Is a mental institutional hospital thats really big.. they killed thiry thousand people in one year .. !!! This place was for crazy patients .. The story about the wife waiting for her husband , being notified that he was killed , made her go crazy that she coudnt accept the fact that her husband was killed .. so it took over her like it gotten her crazy that she killed her self.. I went there my 1st time , and it wasnt fun.. my friends went there for a so called spot to chill just to drink … i thought it was the worst spot to drinkk. buildings are all old and rusty looks like it can collapse any minute.. but its only 1 building there is still 45 left.. lol .. butt Its true there is a butcher hOUSE THERE BECAUSE I SEEN A HANGER FROM THE TOpp !! and it was a butcher house .. there was this door size likeee 12 feeet longg ! … i dont know who was in there … but who ever was , was really mad because once he broke that door down he probaly killed everyone there.. all i know is alot of people died there… & this place is really oldd ..

ok im sorry people here might not belive this but i went to this place 3 days ago and was takin pictureds lookin for a gost to appear i did not think anything would show i was sittin the talkin tryin to make a gost come out after i took the pictures i was goin threw and each picture a white object got bigger and bigger then in one of the pics it looked like a gost and it was close to the lens and the mouth was open and it was screming and the screan.

Actually I’ve heard this ‘story’ many of times. I’ve heard a tiny different version too. A couple drove out into the woods and they broke down. The boyfriend went to go find help and told her to lock the doors. She waited and waited and than fell asleep. The next day she was woken up from a scratching noise on the roof, she unlocked the doors and got out just to see her boyfriend dangling from a tree with his hands chopped off on the roof scratching. This is the story of Cropsy.

I heard a differen’t version of this. A couple driving down an isolated road ran out of gas so they parked under a tree and the boyfriend went to get more, a few hours after he left the girlfriend heard scratching on the roof of the car, she ignored it and eventually fell asleep, she was awoken my a tapping on the window. She looked up and saw a police officer, she opened the door and he said “come with me please and don’t turn around” she got out of the car and ignoring the officers warning she turned around and saw her boyfriend hanging upsidedown, dead from the tree. The scraping noise was coming from his fingernails. I heard it on TV when I was a kid so I can’t remember the location or anything, but I never forgot the story because it scared me so much

so no matter what anyone says this place is insane i’ve been there first hand. i thought it was a joke to i came out to pee and i heard this weird noise i thought it was my friend. so i followed it what happens next is unheard of something slammed me into a tree. i passed out. next thing i know when i woke up i was hanging upside down from a tree tied up. i screamed and my friends came for me. i had nightmares for about a month after of flash backs of what occured….all i remember is something counting 1…2….3……

I first heard that story at a slumber party, except that the young fellow had been murdered by an escaped psychopath with a hook instead of a hand. As I was 10 or 11 at the time, the story scared the hell out of me and kept me awake for a week or two. The oldest one in the book.
