Real Haunted House

Baby Bridge

Calhoun, Georgia

If one travels to this bridge, turns off his car and places his keys on the hood of the car, he will see a woman with a baby carriage strolling across the bridge. The woman will then turn towards him and cast a very stern look. Some have even heard babies screaming near the bridge.

This isn’t the first time I’ve heard about this bridge. But besides turning your car off and placing the keys on top, you then have to look over the bridge into the water to see the woman’s face. But like every other haunting story, you got to see it, to believe it.

I’ve heaard another version of the “baby bridge” story.
The version I was told was that a woman and her child were driving through a storm one night and as she went over the bridge, she lost control of her car. Since it was raining, the water under the bridge had gotten deep enough to cover the car completely. It’s said that the woman was able to escape the car but she never managed to get the baby out of the car seat and that the baby drowned. They never mentioned anything about the car in the story afterwards.
They said if you go down to the bridge and turn the car and lights completely off and roll down the windows and sit very quietly, you will hear a baby crying. But it will sound like the baby is under the water and that you will see the woman walking in the water and hear her calling out for her baby.

I was told this many years ago from a friend’s mom who had lived in Calhoun all her life. I don’t know if the story is true or not but it did freak me out.

I’ve lived in Calhoun, GA all my life and i’ve heard about baby bridge forever. I have a few friends that live right next door to it and i’ve driven across it more than once. Never actually tried it the whole thing, but most of my friends have. If you want to know where it is, find sonoraville high school. Go to cash road right past the school and follow it down right before you get to the fork in the road. Right before the fork, there is a fairly new gas station on the right. The road directly beside the gas station to the left of it is the road that baby bridge is on. Not sure if it works, but now you can go check it out. dt1wrestler@yahoo.com if you have any more questions.

If you take a digital camera set it to flash make sure no other lights are shining, or very little light, in the direction of the picture if it truely has spirits you’ll have little blue, white, red or black balls, caleed orbs, come back on the picture. Blue stands for good, white stands for nuteral, red stand for evil, and black stands for demon. Very rarely do you get pics of actual ghost like the women, i’ve only seen one and i was their when the pic was taken and knew there was nothing their before the pic was taken. if you want to know a few good haunted houses in Ellijay Ga e-mail me biggerhotrod@yahoo.com

Me and my BFF went lastnight..this place is so true! The only thing that we had happen to us was we heard a strange noise..like a squeeky noise or something like that of a carriage wheel or a dog whinning and then I looked threw the rearview mirror and saw something moving in the back window to the left side of my car (toward the bridge)..it was scary we left!

I live in Fayetteville, Tn. We have a bridge similar to this one, and I’ve heard many stories about it. I’ve never actually been, but I’ve known adults and teen friends that have been. I did see a spirit once. I was five, and had my mother believing there was an intruder in our home. There was actually a murder near our home, and my mother looked up the man’s photo in my father’s Lee Company album, she didn’t show me who the man was, but yet I pointed him out as the man that was just in our restroom. Anyway, I’m still skeptical about the stories I hear, until I’ve witnessed them personally.

This bridge needs to be removed. It is the ugliest bridge I´ve ever seen. I´ve been filing complaints with the city council but to no avail. And now, to learn that there´s a crazy old lady that haunts this place??? We NEED TO GET RID OF THIS BRIDGE NOW!!!
