Baby Bridge
If one travels to this bridge, turns off his car and places his keys on the hood of the car, he will see a woman with a baby carriage strolling across the bridge. The woman will then turn towards him and cast a very stern look. Some have even heard babies screaming near the bridge.

Why would anyone turn off his or her car and put the key’s on the hood?Just to make a fool of yourself for actually believing this stupid story.

I am from NC. We have a baby bridge as well. Only the story is a depressed pregnant girl jumped off the bridge. When you go there now they say you can sometimes see her jump. Also they have said that you can sometimes hear a baby cry. Now we also have a gravity hill in NC. The story is a womans car staled there, and she was hit by another car and died instantly. It is said that if you turn your car off and put it in neutral, you will be pushed up the hill. I did it. It’s real. They also say if you put flour on your back bumper befor you start, that once you are at the top, if ou get out and look, you will see handprints. I never had the guts to try that one.

I live a mile from the bridge on covington bridge road.I have for along time. This is the first time i have ever heard of any haunting there.I live in a home that does have ghosts.i had one lock me out of my bedroom to keep me away from my husband, she also set fire to my house from my stove which was unplugged.I later move out of this house and it was condemmed. It has a room inside the house with an open well,we kept it enclosed.I know what happen to me these days i was there.I do believe in all manners of spirits.I have asked around about this baby bridge story in calhoun. It does not appear that anyone even knows where it is or they would post it.My email is shyly1@bellsouth.net

I live here in Calhoun and researched this many years ago for our High School magazine called SouthWind.I was elected to study this particuliar story. There is a couple of different directions to see this anomally. Now the original bridge is gone. It was a steel one lane bridge but is now a two lane concrete bridge. one way to do this is to go tothe nearby church and go around it screaming we have your baby. Supposedly the mother is buried there. Go back to the bridge , Stop, turn off your engine and lay the keys on the dash. You will then supposedly see the ghost of the mother as she sks were her baby is. Look in the back seat and the ghostbaby is supposed to be there. The other is to go to the bridge shout out you have your baby and do the same thing. Never got it too work. Only thing was one night while trying it the car battery acted as though it was dead and then suddenly everything come on. We started the car and got out of there. More stories can be found in old copies of SouthWind magazine. I was one of the artists for the magazine 1n 1984.

I’ve never been to Baby Bridge, but the covered bridge in Euharlee and Old Hardin Bridge (between Rome and Cartersville) are both creepy as hell.
But DW is much scarier than either place. Two satan worshippers were murdered in ‘81 at their house Corpsewood Manor. A good bit of the house is still standing and I would recommend that everyone go see it. It was super eerie and a few things happened that nearly made us wet our pants. Google Corpsewood Manor if you want to learn what happened there and how to get there. It’s a bit of a trek, but it’s worth it.

Oh, and DW (Devil Worshippers Mountain) is in Summerville, so it shouldn’t be too far for anyone who was gonna go to Calhoun anyway.

I think every place has a “Baby Bridge.” Here in Columbus it’s called Cry Baby Bridge. It’s a series of three bridges out away from the city. There are several different versions of the story. The one I hear the most is that a lady and her baby died in a car accident, like she ran off the bridge or something. You’re supposed to park in the middle of the bridge and turn you lights off. One version says if you put flour or powder on your car, there will be little baby footprints in it. You’re supposed to be able to hear a baby crying. I’ve been there a few times with friends. It was a pretty creepy place, but we never heard a baby. Just some stuff belonging to some homeless people who have supposedly taken up residence there. Still, it’s a little freaky!
