Real Haunted House

The Bailey House

Lowell, Michigan

In this house, it is said that a woman killed her entire family and then hanged herself in the basement. One group reports that when they were touring the house a boarded up window in the downstairs suddenly cracked when they were in the upstairs. It was said that a cool breeze followed them around the house. Throughout the house, the stains of blood began to appear. In the basement, it is said that a waterfall has formed over the side of the stairs. The house is abandoned, however, and thus all the utilities are disconnected.

I live on Grand River Avenue just east of Lowell. I drive down Grand River Avenue all the way to Lansing everyday for my work. There are a few abandoned houses that I pass. They always look so intriguing to me. There is another abandoned house just east of the Ionia State Recreation Area on David Highway. Two of those houses that I have seen are actually for sale right now. I thought it would be neat to buy them and fix them up, but I don’t have the money right now. Has anyone else seen these houses?

Sorry to disappoint all of you, but the house was never haunted. My aunt was a character and if you had ever met her you would recognize that immediately. She was kind and I loved her. My uncle was also a character and was a hard working man. They never bothered anyone but just lived their lives and contributed to society. That is a beautiful piece of property and in terms of real estate really quite valuable. Basically you had no right to go into someone’s home and desecrate it. My cousin had to have it removed because the liability issue was huge. Get over it and find another fantasy to swing on.

This place could have been haunted by the people that lived there, but they were not evil. Got any haunts in Montana?

I know of a haunted house in Grand Rapids Mi.The house that I am talking of is 506 Burton st. S.W.When I`was a child our family lived there and there was a ghost of a man from the civil war era.. I have been trying to fing out the history on the house but I am having a tough time so far!!
My mother had actually been face to face with the ghost, it woke her up when she was sleeping and scared th he– out of her, she became paralysed, we don’t know if it was from fear or the ghost as he stared at her. Our family lived there for 7 yrs. If anyone knows if this has been reported or if you have any info can you respond to this post? I would love to figure out anything about this ghost. thank- you so much

The “Bailey House” is no longer standing, they bulldozed it down. But I too myself have been there and experienced weird things…there was trash strung through out the house and miscellaneous items everywhere, one weekend a friend of mine and myself went there, it was a normal visit, nothing strange happened just the normal uncomfortable feeling. The next night we returned to find a cinderblock at the bottom of the stairs, that wasnt anywhere in the house that we seen the night before, also there was random items that were moved through out the house, like the shower curtain was closed, when it was open the night before, there were items in a closet one night and then gone the next. One of the times I was there, my friends hat was lifted up off his head and thrown to the ground. Im not an expert but I have captured spirits on video tape before, if I had to say, this place is definitely haunted!

I’ve been there, the gas sataion the street from the house is creepy, the glass doors randomly open sometimes. The house is burned down now but the was a cold breeze following us around the whole house, i’ve never heard of someone going in the basment either, there was no stairs. Also walking out of the house we thought we heard a faint mealody of someone singing.

Yes, this place is really haunted niece of “lottie and ralph”. If it’s not hanunted how come when we went there at night we would take pictures and there were ghost orbs in them, dumba$$. And there wouldnt have been a freezeing breeze following us in 90 fuck1ng degree weather, and yes, Megan you’re right the house was burned down, some stupid seniors in my school did it, so then they bulldozed it down. When my sister and her friend went there in 1999 her friend Sarah took a broken picture frame and after that she got weird phone calls hat just sounded like water running, she took it back and it stopped. And the doors at the gas station do ramndomy open sometimes.

LOL, wow people end up believing in anything. I lived Lowell and went to the house and there was nothing. All the trash that was there was recent and there was no “cold” breeze and the blood stains, blood does come off of f of walls.

If you go into any house, especially abandoned, if you go in thinking oh it is haunted you’ll see what ever you want to see. If there is a ghost in the house that evil it would let you know it was their. It would give you a warning of somekind to get out. If you want to experience something like that you better be close with God, evil will try to get into any doubts in your mind and make you feel as if you are in Hell. There are 2 kinds of people who are here, ones who are just thrill seekers and those who know and will not let themselves be taken again by evil spirits. They only wish to harm you and pull you in so far you can’t ever escape them. They are with you forever so be warned.

it doesnt matter if the house was torn down.most of the time the land will remain haunted.if i was you,i would go to where the house use to stand and see if you can catch anything.alot of times its like a replay.it will keep going just like the house was still there.

We went passed the Bailey house last fall. There is definetly someone living in the house now. Car in drive, someone watering the lawn.
The house does appear to be old, but not too scary looking.

Peace

Judging by most of these amateur accounts of this house actually being haunted, I believe it’s pretty fair to dismiss this case as bunk. Unfortunately I spent time reading a good amount of posts on here, and nothing I’ve read could be called credible evidence. Kids will tell many a tall tale, don’t believe everything you hear.

hey guys. I live in Lowell and sorry to tell you but the house is completly torn down. Too many people were trespassing and got hurt. There is nothing left to even suggest there was once a house there. I am very dissapointed I have been there a few times and once in the basement. Very creepy.
