The Bailey House
In this house, it is said that a woman killed her entire family and then hanged herself in the basement. One group reports that when they were touring the house a boarded up window in the downstairs suddenly cracked when they were in the upstairs. It was said that a cool breeze followed them around the house. Throughout the house, the stains of blood began to appear. In the basement, it is said that a waterfall has formed over the side of the stairs. The house is abandoned, however, and thus all the utilities are disconnected.

Hi – Thank You Staci – I also believe in the same – as far as…finding out the truth and confronting an unrestful soul. I’ll try more research when my time is a tad more free. As for my son Nick…he’s the most honest person anyone will ever meet! I’m sure the others in the group would agree. I let them know about the message board also.
Sincerely, Nick’s Mom

both Lottie(Fullington)& Ralph Comodore where laborer’s for the Bailey’s in the 1920’s per census report – Lottie was very young at the time. The big question is…why and how did Ralph Comodore 24 years old in 1930 census – still shows unmarried – how did he end up there and why? The earlist census reports shows all of his family elsewhere – east? – the unrest is with him I believe. Vergennes Township would hold the secret to this haunted house, I’m sure of it.

oops…it was either 1930 or 1920 census when Ralph Comodore was 24 years old – I can’t remember for sure now. If you have a Ancestry membership you can go check for yourself. I don’t want anyone to seek or think anything but the truth. As, that is the only way I believe. Find and seek the truth….but believe anyone.

The Bailey’s owned the majority of the land – I’m still unclear as to who owned the land the house sits on at the time it was built. Both Lottie & Ralph were laborers for the Bailey’s though.

Hey,Donna, how can you scare easy? You live in England. One of the most haunted places in the world. Most Haunted is my favorite t.v. show. So,I know how freaky it is in London.Remember, ghost can not hurt you, just scare you.The most they can do is make things move and show themselves, poltergist can do some harm, but you would know if you were dealing with them right away, you could feel the energy as soon as you walked in a place. They seem to able to throw things, scratch you, push you, stuff like that, anything physical.

Hey Staci. Thanks for the advice, i’ll bear that in mind if i ever find the guts to visit a haunted place. London is good for ghost hunting, especially the Jack the Ripper story.
Happy ghost hunting guys. If anyone else has any pics of the house, plz send me some. U’ll find my email above!

Hey Dan,what makes you think that ghost are not real?Where do we go after death?Throughout history, people have reported spirits, thousands of years ago, people were haunted, witches were real, and paid the ultimate price, only to curse their killers before death and have the curse become real. How can we believe that it all ends here?I know that I want to believe that I,in spirit, will live on.My brother was a big part of my life, and he died a year before I was born.Hey Dan,I have an idea,do you have any pets?Or,as a child, did you have any?Animals can see and sense more that we ever could, watch your animals,do they bark at air?Do they become edgy at times for no known reason?Do you know anyone with young children?Have you ever seen a babie,or small child looking up and talking and playing with something that you can’t see?We as adults close our minds and because society as a whole, doesn’t want to believe,we tend to follow.Small children have not had their minds shut off by society or adults yet,you can learn alot from them.My son use to play with a spirit in my old house,it was scary at first till I did research and found out that the spirit was actually a mother of two that use to live there before her death. My cat would not go upstairs in my house, she would totally freak out and start screaming and running around, and my dog would bark at the air, but, since we have moved, this no longer happens.Life is what you make of it,I know that when my time comes,I will live in spirit and be able to watch my grandchildren and greatgrandchildren, grow and thrive.Open your mind Dan,there is alot to see.

Lady you are physco. Ya, i have a dog. He doesnt freak. And when we die, our souls go to heaven or hell or w/e u believe. We dont stick around. People juts make up ghosts for the thrills. I wont believe until i see one myself. Myabe i’m wrong but prolly not!

I have never been to that house, but it is like all others I suppose. If you want it to stop, you must research through archives and find out what really happened there, then go to the house, call the ghost by name and tell them to go with God.They need to know that they are dead, until then, they will be there forever, even tearing the house down won’t make them leave, they will haunt the ground. If you want to check out another place,go to the antique mall in Lowell, then to the bottom floor. The junk yard on Grand River is also a good place to go,my uncle will let you in if you say that you are lokking for a car part.I can’t remember the name of the road in Lowell that is haunted, but I will try to think of it.The cemetary in Ada is also a great place to go,remember, you need to set an appointment with the city before going so you can get a key.Can you guys tell me if the old theater is still in Lowell?
