pretty freaky!!!!!!

I have lived across the street from that house most of my life, it is not true that no one has lived in that house for more than a month. However, I remember there being a small plot of a few gravestones behind the house when I was really young and first moved in across the street. I swear I remember this, but it’s possible it was a dream or I imagined it, but someone told me a long time ago that the bodies were moved to another location. There is a pool in it’s place now. Can someone confirm if this is true or not?

I used to go to Bartlett, and that house has always creeped me out, but I’ve never heard of it being haunted. You people are so odd.

I would scream & run as fast as I possibly could. I would be so scared if I turned a light out then woke up a bit later with it on, a never ending cycle. Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!I would get out of there as soon as it did that. I think i’ll tell my parents about this so we can go visit it, just not stay the night. We do alot of stuff like that.

Bartlett firefighters this afternoon battled a fire at a historic home north of Stage and Sycamore View.
The Blackwell House, which was built in 1869, suffered damage to its upper floor in the blaze, which was reported about 3:40 p.m. by several passers-by, according to Lt. Rory Mack, spokesman for the Bartlett Police Dept.

The same family has lived there for years

I’m related to the Blackwell’s too, on my father’s side. I make sure my daughter and myself sleep in well lit rooms but I do have a reason for that. But I’ll tell her why when she’s a little older and little more brave.

I live down the street from the Blackwell House and have even been inside it a couple times, one of those times at night. Nothing seemed unusual, aside from it being a bit eerie while dark. My friend and I had to walk their dogs, who are very friendly. It’s pretty nice-looking inside. When my friend and I drove up, the driveway was dark and creepy. I said to him, “be honest, you didn’t need my help walking the dogs. You just didn’t want to drive up to this house by yourself!” Then as we were walking up to the door, he said, “you know how many horror movies start out like this?” Of course we were just joking. Neither of us believe it’s haunted. Nothing out of the ordinary happened.

dudes this house is not that scary i mean i love to research all these awsome paranorima stuff its so so extixting and iv actually lived in a house sorta like this one but differ at the same tie its called the celler of youth ok now when your sleeping in the attic it gives you chills i know because that was my bedroom ok so i was sound a sleep when i heard “GET OUT OF MY DAME HOUSE” i was so freaked out that i jumped out of my bed and ran to the door but i didn’t make a sound at all while i did then (this is the part were it is the same) all the lights in the room had exploded so creepy then finally i got out so thats it

I actually lived in this house about 4-5 years ago. My family lived in the blackwell house in bartlett for 7 years. You can email me if you want to know what all really happened in the house because most of this is made up. Many weird things really did happen though that truely cannot be explained. Many of these things I beleive were Mr. and Mrs. Blackwell but we’ll never know.

Christina haha its brandon umm i thinks its mr. graves pool i think. it was really like green and sunk into the ground idk it was weird. There was a wooden square in the ground behind our pool and i always thought there was something down in the hole like a grave or something. Hope that helps.

I have lived here all my life. WHen I got married, my hub n I moved onto Marbry which is off North St (walking distance to Blackwell House) I have always heard these stories so i always looks at this house when I drive by it on a daily basis. Never noticed the remark about all the lights on or off and the current family has been there 4-5 years, although i noticed today that it is up for sale again. The only thing that would make me think they were moving would be that ghost hunters are harrassing them or something. I remember the fire. I was so sad, but happy that they restored it and fixed it up so nice. I would like to talk to the people who live there. I saw they had an open house for Halloween last year and I wanted to go. I can validate myself by stating the admission for entry was 10 bucks. Intersting and beautiful house.

Actually the family is having trouble and the parents are getting a divorce, there have been absolutely no ghost hunters in the house. My family had a ton of weird stuff happen to us in that house but nothing weird has happened to this family so if you want to actually know real facts just send me an email and id be happy to answer any.

we talked at length with the owners of this house. very nice family that has been in this house for years! they wish everyone would stop printing stories that their house is haunted. it is NOT! this was a rumor started by ghoststalkers of west tennessee, a group who doesn’t even live in tennessee. they are from mississippi. (hernando and southaven to be exact.) the family wishes to be left alone. i think they deserve that.

maybe he thought that no1 should be afraid of him (he has a weird way of showing it) so he turns the light on to tell them not to fear

I am a Blackwell, my dad died when I was 16. I dreamed the funeral 2 days before he died (NO JOKE), it shocked my foster parents. Also I always have sleeped with a night light on, just something my parents that raised me with, but there is alot more spooky things then finally people who didn’t believe actually witnessed it, I feel my father used to haunt me, but not any longer. I think he had something to tell me left unfinished.
