Real Haunted House

Bloods Point Road

Cherry Valley, Illinois

If one travels on this road toward the cemetery, he will notice a bridge just above the train tracks. Once, a school bus filled with children flew off the bridge, killing all the passengers. Today, if a car is put in neutral on this spot, it will be mysteriously pushed across the bridge. There is also a traffic light in the area that seems to change locations. In the cemetery many have seen a ghost and heard whistling.

I am writing to Rob or anyone who has expeireinced the big truck that chases you and then disapears . I am 66 yrs old and lived in Cherry Valley from 1961 to 1969. i was 13 and turned 21 when i left. durning the later years while in high school a girlfriend of mine and a male friend of ours who had a charger decieded to go to the haunted house. we got out there and started to get out us two girls to show our male friends we weren’t afraid. just then our friend yelled at us to get back in the car. we did and took off I am sure it Shirley bridge and when we got to the bridge we were going over 100 mph this truck with head lights was catching up to us quick. then we would go over a hill and it was gone and then there it was again. that happened about 2 or 3 times and then it just dissapered. by the time we got back into town all our friends new what happened to us but no one could tell us how they found out. . That was last time we went there. so Rob if you are interested in replying i would love to hear from you. E-mail is catdogstubbe@yahoo.com

Hi….. I just want to let people know about my experience at bloods point bridge. My friend told me about the cemetery and the bridge and the stories that went with it. I found this forum to see if anyone had experienced anything about the black cat….as he had told me the night before we went out there that the witch had a black ghost cat that would run out in front of your car. My friend and I drove out to the cemetery and then to the bridge. As I approached the bridge at 40 mph about 10 feet from it… a black cat ran full force straight into my car. A smashed into it and ran it over . I felt threatened as if someone sent that cat into my car. Almost in hopes I would crash. This cat was real and was dead on the side of the road when we went home.
