Bloods Point Road
If one travels on this road toward the cemetery, he will notice a bridge just above the train tracks. Once, a school bus filled with children flew off the bridge, killing all the passengers. Today, if a car is put in neutral on this spot, it will be mysteriously pushed across the bridge. There is also a traffic light in the area that seems to change locations. In the cemetery many have seen a ghost and heard whistling.

my ex just told me a story about Matilda who was a witch who haunts bloods point. I was also told about that bridge. But a different story. If you put your car in neutral in that spot, it will move over the train tracks… you’ll hear a train (but kno that the tracks have not been used for a very long time) and then sum screams and then silence. If you get out and look at your bumper, you’ll see 6 childrens finger prints… they were matilda’s children who were also killed.
Also, Matilda was hung on that bridge I believe. It’s been said that the rope is still there… and if you get close enough, you can see recent blood… she put up a fight when she was hung.

My previous comment was deleted for some unknown reason.
The Bloodspoint Cemetery is on the northwest corner of the intersection of Bloodspoint Road and Pearl Road several miles south of Belvidere.
There is a house right behind the cemetery and a farmhouse to the east on the other side of Pearl Road.
Several miles down the road is a bridge that crosses OVER the railroad tracks, same as a bridge would cross OVER a river.
There are no traffic lights, for this is way out in the country.

That story about ghost children pushing cars off of traintracks was actually from an episode of GHOST STORIES hosted by Patrick Macnee.
Voices or noises are likely to carry over from the nearby houses.
However, I did manage to catch a strangew light anomoly over a headstone using a digital camera during daylight.

Nothing to get overly excited about, but still interesting nonetheless.

Alright…I really wanna go check this place out. However, I do have one thing to say that I can pretty much guarantee is a lie about the stories above. The whole parking your car and being pushed off by children…it’s BS. There is a site in San Antonio where a bus stalled on the tracks, and all the kids and the bus driver were killed in the accident. All the streets passed the tracks are now named after each of the children that died in the accident. It has been documented time and time again that you can set your car in neutral on the tracks and every time…w/o fail…your car will be pushed off the tracks to reach the other side safely. Powder on the bumper has proven to show tiny finger prints on the back of the car. I think this is simply just how one story travels to other locations…and just ends up becoming a myth everywhere. Like Resurrection Mary…how many other places have you heard that story for other cemeteries than Resurrection Cemetery in Chicago, IL? Numerous. Never actually made wide-spread…just talked about in the towns nearby. Still going to check out Bloods Point Rd…see how much is true.

I first visited Bloods Point Cemetary when I was around 18 or so. Having heard stories about it all through high school, I was really curious and so a bunch of my friends all decided to go out there together one weekend night.
There were two cars, about seven of us total. We drove out to the cemetary first and looked around. It was indeed creepy, being out in the middle of nowhere and very old -but nothing really happened and we moved back to the bridge. We drove over it without incident on the way to the cemetary (we took river road from Cherry Valley to get there).
When we stopped on the way back, we all parked on the shoulder (no stalling or radio occurences) and climbed down to the tracks. We walked a few hundred feet, saw a deer, and got bored with that as well.
Finally, climbing back up to the bridge, one carfull of people left and four of us were left. We stood around in the middle of the bridge, next to the rail that overlooked the light (not a stoplight, but a railroad light of some type -flashing green).
Suddenly two of the other people stopped talking and looked up, as if they’d heard something. They both asked the question, “Did you hear that?” and myself and the other party laughed it off for about one second.
Then we heard some sort of snarl, like an animal. All four of us immediately bolted toward the car (parked about 30 feet away and facing home). We could hear the sounds of a pursuit -sounded like the claws of a dog- and climbed into the car freaking OUT!
The car took a few tries to get started and as the driver struggled with it, the rest of us locked our doors and peered into the darkness behind us for a dog or other animal. There was nothing.
I’ve visited since and just felt too intimidated to get out of the car -but I’ve never seen or heard any other paranormal activity.

You are all idiots i used to live in the house rite next to the cemetery on the same road. All the reports of whistleing and cars chasing you are just my family and friends. I’m sorry for disapointing you but there is the truth i hope you all can read this and finally just leave the place alone.

I have been to Blood’s Point many times, and I have yet to experience the chasing truck phenominom. I have seen different figures in the Cemetery, and have heard different noises around the shed. Another interesting thing to do is at night go to the bridge on Poole Rd, and walk around you will begin to feel unwanted, and if you go in 19 Feb you will actually see someone hanging from the bridge just there dangling, and “she” will appear to be looking at you with hateful eyes. I have expierenced that myself.

In most of the pictures (almost all from cemetary) there was orbit like things in the pictures! it was kinda creepy. Yeah but we didnt like see or hear anything. It was neat

I think there is a similar story in Texas about a school bus full of children that stalled on train tracks and all the kids were killed by a speeding freight train. All the streets in the neighborhood were named after all the kids that were killed. If this crossing works like the one in Texas, I heard that it helps to put a little talcom powder on the back of your car so that you can see the little finger prints better.

Yea, i went to bloods point a while ago and on the way there we were crossing some railroad tracks and almost hit a train that was crossing. we stopped 1 cm away from it from 45 mph. then when we got there it was like 12 and really really windy and we were walking around inside of the cemetary and my friend stepped on a grave that was dug up on accident and stepped on somethin. Thats when we decided to leave. We turned off of the road and a black truck started to chase us untill we got to belvidere. Then our car died right at the entrace to town and had to call someones dad to come get us.
