I say ” supposed ” because honestly, I have yet to see any documented evidence of what could qualify as a haunting. Even photographs I have taken were either debunkable with a little persistence or could not be classified as one way or another.

And most of the comments posted here and elsewhere on the Internet are more hype and hysteria.

There might be a legitimate haunting in this area, but it is a difficult case to make.

It’s easy to say there is based on personal experiences or hand-me-down stories, but too often these are embellished after already being the result of imaginations working overtime.

It’s both fascinating and ridiculous how haunted the area has become based on word of mouth.

I lived out there and my best friend and his wife still do. The farm kids like myself chased you city ghost hunters with our trucks to watch you freak out. There isn’t anything out there.

ok ive been to bloods point and im going their 2nite and the last time iw as their my fredins told me not to be scared because its faimily and freinds who mostly do all the stuff and try 2 scare you and its a guy who chases you so its mostly all fake

I have been there several times and I have been chased by the black truck… and also the last time I was there I saw someone sitting on a tombstone and just dissapear… I think it just depends when you go what happens

i believe in ghost i have had many encounters though i still have to ask questions how does the truth be revealed if one can not prove that they have seen and or done this why dont the people who made the website video tape it adn put on their website plz write back to me

ok i know that there is something out there that is scaring all of you on bllods point road. but trust me whatever it is leave it alone it is not something you want to mess with. these evil spirits can attach themselves to you if you open up your mind to them they can live in your house. they are not something to mess with. an if you choose not to listen to me well then thats your problem if you screw up your life it has not one affect on me. these spirits are not ment to be screwed with so just leave them at rest. i just thought i would give you a heads up.

It has been a while since I have been out there but when I went there the black truck chased us and the ghost were walking in the cemetary. I believe in ghosts because we have some in the building we live in. We also saw a red light. My friends are out there right now so I will find out if they see anything and report to all of you but we are planning a trip out there soon.

Oh man…I’m from Stillman and its been a couple of years since I’ve been there and quite a few times me and my friends went over there and didnt see anything. We would make stuff up just to scare one person in the car….but there was two times I swear scared the **** out of me. Once I was driving with friends by the cemetary and nothing happened but as we got further away someone started following us I sped up and the car stayed right on our butt. I was goin over 80 miles an hour and they still kept up with me then I thought they turned off their lights cuz the car just dissappeared and the people in the backseat were freaking out.

Another time right before halloween I went out there with friends in two cars. One car stopped at the cemetary before we got to it and a cop came out of nowhere with lights on to see why they were tresspassing. we kept driving past. we only got a block or two away when we started to get pulled over. All of a sudden theres like 6 cop cars(no joke) surrounding our car. We were scared out of our mind. The cop asked what we were doing and we said we were lost. They said to get out of the area because there was alot of **** goin down that night and we shouldnt be there. It must have been pretty important for that many cops is all I know. I was only 16 and now am 21 and will never forget that.

Theres another story if any of you are interested in the area to check out I swear its worth it. Right outside of Leaf River, IL you drive by this huge hill and when you turn around and your lights hit it just right you can see a gravestone glowing in the night. They say its a real cemetary and the tombstone was made out of a certain granite that made it shine when light hits it. Its really creepy. My dad told me about that one and I’ve seen it myself. Hes a cop too…

Iv’e been out there a lots times. I live about 20 minutes away. The fisrt time i went out there nothing happend. But the 2nd time, that scared the **** out of me and my friend Justin,
we were on blood’s point rd when we hit some dense fog, threw the fog we saw a light that was on the side of the rd(looked like a broken reflector) when we got close it vanished and the grave yard was to the imidate left. We were both like did u see that light. we passed the grave yard and did a uie. while doing so my friend Justin said “i see bodies out in the field”. i thought he was messing with me. So i’m back on bd pt. and i’m searching for the light, we don’t see anything.
turned out the bodies in the field were just cows .but at this point my freind was like WE JUST SCENE AN ORB, I’m calling it the pop can from hell,there a lot of trash on the side of that road. So now we head to the creppy bridge on wheler, I stop my car under neath the bridge and turn it off. we sat there for a few secounds and waited. Didn’t hear or see anything. Thats when it happend, My friggin car wouldn’t start, didn’t even turn over, all the emergency lights came on but that was it. Well justin was looking at me like WTF and i had a panicked look on my face. I realy didn’t wanna push a Grand Marquee out from underneath that bridge.
if you have scene it you know what i’m talking about. It has two wooden pilliars on both sides and is realy rickety looking. Any way i get this bright idea to turn the intirrier lights on. I was still in drive. so i put the car in nutral and it fired up right away.as i squeled my tires as i drove away as fast as humanly posible. still in a state of shock.
He still won’t let me live that down till this day

I used to go out there…many years ago. It is very creepy.
One night a few years back, it was close to Halloween and my friend was going take some of his friends out there. The friends have never been. It was late and they took off with their flashlights. My husband and I waited a good 10 minutes or so then we decided to go out there and be the ones to scare them. Little did we know that we’d be the ones getting scared.
We had just pulled in to the pull-off spot, got out, and flashlight in hand started to walk up the cliff then all of a sudden all these police cars surround us. I guess there is a lot of rapes that go on out there and once there was a person left for dead. After searching our vehicles and such everything was OK. But the police did say that that’s not really a good place to hang out. Pretty much…Stay Away. I’m sure that there is stuff that the police didn’t tell us. Haven’t been back since.

Let me first say I never believed in ghosts until we stole the head stone of “the witch” of bloods point. Im telling you talk about some scary stuff. We ended up taking it back too many creeping things happened. There is also a road that heads north and south by the old slaughter house (the slaughter house is on the north east corner) head south on that road and it’s like the road just drops off your headlights stop just at the trees and no matter how close you get the road can not be illuminated.

i live somewhat close to there and my friends and i have gone down it many times…and we have experienced a car chasing us, but the car didnt chase us until we got into irene. i swear the car came out of nowhere, kinda creepy if you ask me.

i am from the belvidere area and i drive through on cheery valley rd. i never even knew any of this existed on bloods point rd but i have encountered ghosts before. i have complete respect for them even though i they dont scare me but it is a weird thing.but i have to say i havent ever seen anything around there but there is definitely somethingthat just doesnt feel rite even on cheery valley rd and bloods point rd its very creepy aroundthere. the only thing i can think of is there was abad accident just south of blooods point on cheery valley rd like 5 years ago it killed acouple people bu t i dont know it just feels spooky in that area.

I live in Poplar Grove, Il (about 10mi from Cherry Valley) and went to the cemetary last weekend. The most upsetting thing that happened was we almost ran over a family of kittens on the way there. The cemetary was lame, nothing spooky about it. Get a life people!

i am 29 now and live in iowa now–before tht is was raised in rockford from the age of 13 till moved in 1997- mny times i went to bloods point and other locations around bloods point — if you go there excpecting something to happen all to often it wont the energies in the area some are atracted to fear others to simple curosity — but there are postive and NEGATIVE energies in this area–go in with an open mind-many orbs have been photographed and if weather permiting for exact audio recording-i personally have recorded on 18 differnt occasions-voices of male and female young and old alike — in the area of the older graves and the shed area has an energy of its own which does interact with the living–ask a question and if conditions are right you will get an answer–remember an open mind and no fear–
