Real Haunted House

Bloods Point Road

Cherry Valley, Illinois

If one travels on this road toward the cemetery, he will notice a bridge just above the train tracks. Once, a school bus filled with children flew off the bridge, killing all the passengers. Today, if a car is put in neutral on this spot, it will be mysteriously pushed across the bridge. There is also a traffic light in the area that seems to change locations. In the cemetery many have seen a ghost and heard whistling.

Hey, I just want to say that I really don’t think that they are pranks the first time I went out there I felt something very bad, I think that there are people down that road that do Santanic spells. And if you go down Sweeney After the bridge on you’re left side there is a place where you can pull over well me & my sister & my brother & my father went out there & we got of the car to see if we can get the farmer to chase us so my dad likes to play jokes on us, so he drives away leaveing me my sister & my brother there so we go after him all of a sudden this truck comes out of no where so my dad stoped after the bridge to let us in the car the truck was going really slow my sister and I loked at the people in the truck but the where glowing white as soon as the truck got about 2 feet in font of my dad’s car it disappered. If anyone is interested in becoming a ghost hunter or has any more stories contact me at mysticrose26@comcast.net

Some friends and I went over the bridge recently. Nothing happened the first time over. We put the car in neutral. We had a strange feeling of a prescence surrounding us, but we left since nothing happened. We visited the cemetary at the end of the road, but there was no paranormal activity. On the way back, we headed towards the bridge again, but my friend who was driving slammed on the brakes before we could cross it. We were stunned to see the movement of small, black, human-form shadows crossing the road ahead. The shadows crossed the bridge and became floating red orbs! I’m not one to believe in this stuff, but I tell you I saw it with my own eyes! I will never go back there again…I could not sleep with the light off for days!

OMG People come on now. 99% of the gibberish posted is just that, PURE UNINHIBITED GIBBERISH!

I have been out there myself countless times, was into devil worship in the 80’s and was drawn to the place for that very reason. Nothing is out there aside from a creepy name for a road. No witches, no ghosts and no orbs.

What part of Urban Legend are you not understanding here? All these people going to some small communities’ place of rest and stirring up activity and disturbances, vandalizing the place and wreaking havok because of some urban myth they heard? Please be more realistic than that.

Do some research, check out Belvidere library and the Boone Cty zoning board. All the answers you seek are there. NOONE has ever been chased by a ghost vehicle (at most a drunken farmer pissed off at your prescence) there is no witch buried anywhere (in reference to the town of Flora, the Beuller buried there had NO HISTORY of any type of evils or misdoings).

You people are fools (to give you more credit than you deserve at that). Its a farm community that doesnt want bothered with your foolish urban myths and legends. For fux sake it is the year 2008 and kids and teens alike are flocking to this place for nothing. NOTHING IS THERE. Cattle walk the perimeter, the shed is old and decrepid and holds nothin that hasnt already been stolen.

Bloodspoint cemetery is nothing more than a typical old place of rest for past fallen loved ones. Why cant you people respect that and leave it alone? Noone died on a bridge, the tracks run under the damn thing. Nothing pushes you across, theres no ghost train and if anyone follows you or rams you off the road, its either a drunken farmer or some punks like you playing kid games.

DONT BE STUPID! Just leave the place alone, there is nothing there! I dont even live near there and you people annoy me to no end with your bunk, fictitious stories. DO some research, this foolishness MUST STOP.

I have gone out there several times. Yeah, the bridge is real creepy but anyones car can act up. However, I was chased by the big truck and then it disappears it is true. Ghosts are real wherever you are, you just don’t realize it. This place can be really spooky but I had alot of great fun party times out there with my friends and Randy Rhoads. If anyone knows him or of these times hi

Here, this is where you start if you really want to know whats real and whats 100% pure urban myth.

http://www.rootsweb.com/~ilwinneb/winbngen.htm

Pay the fees, become a member and you too will find the truth.

Your next step is the Belividere library. Dig around and all the answers you seek are there for you (but I doubt any of you will do the research).

Third step is to contact the Boone County zoning board. They can tell you who owns the land in all of Boone County and from there you can follow your own leads that it provides.

Fifth step is to take the information you find, go out there in the daytime, do a PROFESSIONAL report and talk to the people in the area. Tell them you are there to put an end to the myths and vandalism surrounding the area. Most of the people will be happy to provide information to you to end all this.

Sixth, go to the township of Flora during the day. Locate the church (Sunday is a good day to try no?) and talk to the minister there. BE PROFESSIONAL for fux sake.

Seventh, after all this, THEN go to the cemetery grounds WITH the groundskeeper (located adjecent to the cemetery) and have him tell you about it. Pay your respects to the fallen loved ones as you traverse the grounds and hear all the stories of vandalism and consecration that has taken place here.

Eighth, proceed down the road to the bridge crossing over the tracks. Park on the side of the road OUT OF THE WAY OF TRAFFIC. Head down the hill to the tracks. Look around. You will see a light with red and green lights on a lightpole. Examine the bridge, the tracks, the pole. You will find theres nothing any different than any other set of tracks.

Ninth, Document all your conversations with the people of the area, take pictures of each place you visit, note all the documents you read. Be observant while travelling the area, there are “marker stones” at certain intersections, document them as well. There are “gateway stones” seemingly in the middle of nowhere along certain roads, document these as well. Examine and photograph the barn thats mentioned and any abandoned houses you encounter including the burnt down one on Poole Road taking pictures and making notes.

Tenth, go home with all your acquired information, find some cheap hosting or free homepage and post all of your results accordingly and professionally and add your page to google. You will find that (just as the host at the bottom of this page states [The Dumb Network] you too will feel the same).

Eleventh, with all your newly acquired information and your webpage hosted, take everything you have and head to the Belvidere library once more and dig around. It WILL take you hours if not an entire day to match all relevant information to the documentation that IS PROVIDED.

Twelfth, At this point you will have all the names of everyone in the Bloods Point Cemetery (named after a Johnathan Blood who first settled there and buried his family in the cemetery) as well as everyone buried in the Flora cemetery located at the church. You will also have all the details of any occurances/activity in the area as well as how many people have been arrested for trespassing.

Thirteenth, now dont you feel real stupid at this point? I HAVE done ALL this research. There is nothing there!

The typical scenerio (as I myself have often adventured) is two boys and two or three girls driving out in the area looking for a ghost adventure. At this point you are excited, adrenalized, creeped out by the constant flow of cornfields, past mindsets from horror movies and the drone of the road and tires coupled with the WORD OF MOUTH stories you have heard and/or read.

This alone creates a pre-set mindset as you approach the area. THEN you see the cemetery and it all becomes “true”. IT IS real at this point. Now your mind is set in “ghost-hunt mode” and the slightest stick snapping (a racoon looking for food), a vehicle approaching (others like you, the groundskeeper or a cop) and all hell breaks loose. The girls scream, leap in your arms, they are clenching the boys and fearful, the boys take on a “im a man Im not scared” mindset, they look to be the hero and by the end of the night everyone has gotten their kicks.

The truth of the matter is, its all a mind-trip induced by your own ignorance to the facts. You do all of it to yourselves. PERIOD. “The only thing to fear, is fear itself”. You scare yourselves shitless and thats all there is to it, so in the end it seems like this grand adventure when all it was, was a trip to the outskirts, where the farmland takes over from the city and there resides a cemetery of old.

HOWEVER

[continued from above after HOWEVER]

I DO have an interesting story to share with all you hapless adventurers that I hope does NOT induce yet more blind adventures to nothingness, of which I will add in another post below this.

PLEASE, do yourselves a favor, and USE YOUR GODDAMN MINDS FOR ONCE! Your own thinking is the only right you have left, for fux sake, leverage it for once.

These are facts I am afraid. Leave the area alone, its just farmland. [see my post below].

{Continuance of the above post, my odd story]

I have a friend of whom I used to chill with back some 10 years ago (I am now 30 btw). Ill leave out his name but him and I used to work out in his garage til dawn building engines and working on cars and motorcycles and snowmobiles etc.

Well him and I and another sap (who is now dead due to OD of heroine) headed out to Bloods Point with two girls one night. Nothing interesting occured but the now passed person had proclaimed that he carved his initials in a tree with a knife (and I personally saw him at the tree with his knife) only to see them disappear after he finished. I looked at the tree and saw no initials or any carving, but I did see him working SOMETHING into the tree.

We actually parked INSIDE the cemetery and we were in an older Blazer. When we went to leave, the left turn signal on the dash was lit up, and remained so until we left the cemetery area. We then headed to the train bridge and drove down to it and parked by the tracks. We got out and walked along them a bit, it was very very cold (seemed far colder than it should have been), so we left and then plowed thru some cornfields (we were in a 4×4 Blazer) and that was real fun.

After that we drove around a bit and headed back and stopped at a gas station in Belvidere. We had corn husks in the brush guard of the blazer as well as all over the suspension. It was a pretty funny sight to behold, all this corn protruding from everywhere.

We headed back into town and dropped off the two girls and the now passed friend. I stayed with my friend who owned the Blazer and we went back to his place where I stayed the night. We were teens then for a reference.

I passed out not too long after but woke up and found my friend gone. I looked out the windows and noticed his garage light on (he had his own garage that we worked in). A few hours had passed and he lived approx. 40 mins from Bloods Point as a reference.

I went out to the garage and found my friends Blazer RUNNING inside the closed garage, he was in the drivers seat! I left the door open so the fumes could vent as I shut it down and pulled him from his truck and dragged him outside.

After some fresh air he coughed and weezed back from unconsciousness and went inside. I said I would close up shop and proceeded to do so. I entered the garage, closed his truck door and was about to head out when I noticed something. Wrapped around his brushguard was some fencing. After closer examination I realized, this was some sort of gate to a chainlink fence. I peeled it off and tossed it out back deep in the back of the property, tossing it out past his property line into a field.

I then headed in and crashed and forgot to mention it until some time later, when he never remembered any of the incident.

Well approx two weeks later I went out to Bloods Point again, this time with a different crew, only to find that half of the two gates on one of the entrances to the cemetery were missing! IT SEEMS my friend went back out there on his own, entered the cemetery (which the gates were open when we went there together) and got locked in, at which point he plowed through them.

I found this disturbing and to this day I do not know what really happened, but I DO know this much. He was in his garage with his vehicle running, sealed up near death with half of a chainlink fence gate wrapped around his brushguard and half of a gate was missing from ONE of the Bloods Point cemetery gates.

Thats the ONLY oddity I have EVER found out there (and I mentioned before I was into devil worship and whatnot, I used to go out there trying to summon demons from the grave to no avail (and I was highly skilled and experienced at doing so).

This was yet another case of the human mind manipulating ones self into “other-worldly” occurances. Very odd indeed.

AS A SIDE NOTE, THERES NOTHING OUT THERE TO SEE. PLEASE DO NOT bother those who (like you) are just trying to live their lives. Theres no ghosts, no lingering spirits nothing. Just the human mind and its oddities that come with being human.

Take it as you will.

IF HOWEVER you are one of the persons mentioned (and you know who you are [JH]) please contact me, as it has been a while since we have spoken. Ill post contact info for you, otherwise, please spare yourself the humility. I have no desires to argue with your schitzophrenia.

If you feel you are one of these persons please contact me at newave(at)operamail.com as I would love to hear from you again. Obviously your research into this subject has brought you here.

I hope I have clarified some things for all of you. PLEASE do the research.

I now close out this story and my posts, as I doubt I will post much more, since there is really, nothing to see.

Please, use your friggin minds for once, its all you have left for freedom so leverage it.

OMFGPeople out.

I love to hear peoples’ stories about interesting places like this, whether they’re true or not. After reading a few here, however, I am amazed that most of the posters think they’ll secure any sort of credibility by using the grammer and punctuation of a 3rd grader. In a moment of optimism, with hope of returning to find readable material–here are a few things morons who choose to share their stories should consider.

1) There vs. Their vs. They’re – learn it
2) You can’t say “People THAT go there,” “I have a friend THAT…” It’s WHO for fux sake.
Places WHERE
Things THAT
Times WHEN
and people WHO
3) Punctuation — 300 word sentences? You’re an idiot.

This could go on all day, but I’ll stop at three since many of you are starting from scratch. Good luck.

We walked to the back of the cemetery and all of asudden i got pushed down. my buddy started laughing cause he thought i has triped and fell. i told him dude i didnt trip i felt hands on my back with full force. we got back home and my heart was still pounding like a million miles an hour. i pulled up my shirt and there were red marks on my back that were marks of hand prints. i have never been that scared in my life ok. i am 24 years old and i almost started crying i was so scared. i am going to go back out there and take some pics with my infered camera. and just some basic pics with reg cameras mabye we will see some thing.

I have had an experiance on the bridge on sweeny rd.
Me and two friends decided to see if our car would be moved if we put it in nuetral on the bridge, justlike a ton of other people who live around here Im sure. So we drove out there and put the car in nuetral facing up hill, and waited for about ten minutes. We started laughing after a while at how silly the whole thing was and we were just about to pull away when the car started moving…up hill! it moved really with really jerky motion that was quite nerve wracking, as if someone was pushing it and having a hard time. We went most of the way across the bridge, but we got reall freaked out and so my friend threw the car in to drive and we busted out of there as fast as we could. It was very interesting and I am being comepletely serious. I dont consider myself easly convinced about ghosts, but dang, I could swear that we sure were pushed across that bridge.

I can’t say I’ve ever been there but it sounds interesting. I’m thinking it could be an amusing stop on my next road trip. But I’m surprised this site has nothing on the house in Watsaka. A girl was actually possessed there. I’ve been there a couple times. It’s really creepy.

About 7 years ago, A friend and myself went out to the cemetery. We were very disappointed that nothing was proved to us while walking through the cemetery. Although when we left we were followed by a large, very fast truck. We had no idea that this was a legend. (I didn’t until I found this site.. just now) We have not returned.. Since then I have moved away and joined a Paranormal Research Team and we plan on making a trip to the location very soon.

OK, I`m going to put this to rest.First let me say , my family has farmed in this area for over 100 years. One thing about the farming community is everyone knows everyone. Nothing happens without the whole community knowing about it.That being said, I went to Bloods point for the first time yesterday. Yes, I have heard all of the stories, witches, ghosts, all the good stuff.I looked on the net before I left to see what I might expect. One thing that stuck out was the black truck.I can`t tell you how many times I`ve chased people off of my property without regard for safety. You don`t pay the taxes on it ,stay the hell off of it. It`s not free range country. People out here stick together and look out for each other. If there is something going on we don`t like, then your out of here.Anyway, I checked out the cemetery, the bridge, and the house at the end of the road. Just old relics of days gone by. So I came home and started thinking about the whole thing. Next thing you know, I`m on the phone with my mother, asked her about the graveyard, never heard of it. Asked about the bridge(bus wreck), never heard aboutthat either, although she did tell me several children died in a school bus accident right in front of the house I grew up in. So that makes sense, things get twisted. Thats probably the wreck they talk about. No I`m not going to tell you where it was at(11 miles north).

04/24/2008 tonight scott, christal, sue and linda went to this blood point cem and took pics. 8 out of 10 pictures had orbs in it. sue believed she saw a yellow light moving around in there. we also saw shadows as well as heard growling, whispers and footsteps. scott went to the shed and heard whispers. there are rumors that there is a cult that goes there and behind the shed dead cats were found. we all felt that we were being watched and followed. our video that we took stopped working 2 min after we got there, but worked just fine when we left. we have voices on our voice recorder, not sure yet that it said. we are still going through it. i just want everyone to know that the thing about the black truck is not real. every state has a thing about a black truck that chases people and well as the bus. i lived in colorado and we had the same thing about a cave. all these stories date back for hundreds of years. none as been proven.
