Ok I live on Bloodspoint and have since I was ten months old and before that I lived in Irene. These stories are not true I live three houses away from the so called haunted bridge and I have had parties and we have gone down to the bridge and nothing has ever happened since I have been around so. Don’t get me wrong I believe in ghosts more than anyone I know and I would love for this to be true but it isn’t, sorry. It is just that a story a story to scare people and give kids who live practically in the middle of nowhere something interesting to talk about or go and try out. and the truck that chases you isn’t on Bloodspoint it is on Pool Rd. the next road as you are going to Belvidere and that isn’t true either and the bridge you park under is on Pool also not SWEENEY the bridge itself is calle SWEENEY and that stuff isn’t true either.

hi i live in cherry valley and i do believe in ghosts but ive been to bloods point many of times and nothing has ever happened so last weekend me and my friend grabbed our bikes and headed out there with no cell phones or anything just our bikes water and cigarettes, we got there and went under the bridge to set up some stuff because thats where we stayed over night 1st of all, all the myths surrounding bloods point are all hype just because of the name of the street which was named by the first man in the area “arthur blood” we found a sign on the bridge that said it was built in 1990 which disproves the school bus myth and the cemetary is nothing out of the ordinary its just an old cemetary and as far as the ghost or phantom truck i have never seen it and i have been there countless times. if your going to waste your time to go there you might as well go the opposite direction of the cemetary and drive down bloods point until it turns to poole take a right and you will find an old wooden bridge this is probably the creepiest place i have been acount of the cults that meet there but other than that its a complete waste of time so have fun wasting your time

Ok, so, I love ghost stories as much as the next person. However, I only enjoy ghost stories that have some truth to them. And this one is a load of ****. There was never a bus accident that killed a bunch of children any where near Cherry Valley. This is a legend. Check your facts.

If you are being chased by a ghost car and thats what you think it is then why don’t you slam on your breaks and if he disapers well then it is a ghost and if not well you get a new car. I live close by to this place I will let you know if i get a new car out of the deal or just a really good story.

YEs, i read these stories last week, and last night me and 4 of my friends decided to go down there,last night was also the 4th of july,OMG, that rhode is so creepy, i was driving! so we were going down there listenin to kanye west(best rapper alive) and my theory is bloods point isn’t haunted, maybe the cemetary, but as far as the rhode , i don’t think so. bilive it’s all them little off streets, like irene!!,going down that rhode we got chased by a car ,it looked like it was floating over the cornfields,,t super high speeds!!, then the lights faced us, and it came ZOOOMing at us. everyone in the car screamed, by the time we got away from it. it looked like it just vanished…as i’m typing this it doesn’t sound scary..i also seen a couple ghost, but i’m use to that it didn’t bother me much. but i’m never going back there again, there is somethin wrong about that place , can’t point it out, some around them parts,,just doesn’t want you over there.whatever it is i advise to just to leave it alone, it’s fun ,,until you acutally see something, then the jokes over. please stay away from there, i’m not even joking.

well…i have heard that the people that live on the road belong to a cult and they go to skin an animal every thursday night in the cemetary…but what police station monitors the area?? please tell because i can talk to them and find out the stuff to make the story straight…my dad is a cop and i am one of the most well known people in the area…this will work..please help

After reading all the nonsense or 99 percent of it that everyone has typed i decided to check the place out for myself. I do believe in ghosts and paranormal occurences because I have been a victim of seeing a ghost and have had experiences with strange things that have occured with relatives or friends that were in the process of dying or have died. Im trying to keep an open mind to all the stories that are associated with bloods point cemetery and the phantom truck and so forth. I have seen pictures of the orbs people are talking about that have been seen in the cemetery. Upon doing internet research there was a professional ghost hunting team that went in the cemetery i believe in 2000 or in that time frame. They reported very abnormal temperature changes along with orbs caught on camera in the dark and also i do believe they found something that had to do with magnetic activity in the cemetery also. Now i dont know if any of this has anything to do with ghosts or not but i do find it to be an interesting phenimenon. But one thing we have to rememeber is, let the dead rest in peace and have some respect. It is easy to get caught up in all the hype of ghosts and things of this nature but rememeber none of us will know if any of this is true until we cross the plateau of death. I do believ some of it is true though due to the fact i used to work in a cemetery when i was in high school and i saw some fairly strange things and felt some very abnormal occurences around me. It is very strange but i do believe cemeteries have these presences. The only advice i can give to thrill seekers is show some respect for the dead and dont mess around trying to seek answers for yourself at the expense of the dead.

I went there again last night for the 20th time now and still nothing happened accept on our way back some smart *** teenagers in a ******* grand prix I believe, were trying to **** with us and cut their lights hahahahah GREAT TIMES! Ok first of all theese stories are not bullsh** it just depends on the person any way there is a phantom truck I have ran into it face to face,, Me and my sister and brother pulled over by this ledged rock on Sweeny rd where the farmer is suppose to come out after you, well my dad was in the car and he wanted to scare us so he pulled off like he was leaving so we started walking towards the street and a he was turning around out of no where there was this truck coming. It was going kinda slow so my sister and I looked in it and I swear on my grandma’s grave the driver wasn’t human it was all it was a ghost you could see through it my mouth droped when I saw it and my sister ran.. About 5 years ago or so, me and my husband had some friends who lived in Rockford and they were ghost chasers, and they convinced us that we should check this place out called Cherry Valley and this road called Bloods Point rd, (which is now called B.P Rd)i didnt want to go because just the thought of it freaked me out. So we went, 2 cars, me, my husband, his best friend, and my best friend, and our friends in Rockford, and then their roomates. We were on Poole rd where we saw on our left side a cement wall about 6 or 7 feet high, and on our right side was a dirt patch where you could pull over. There was some rubble that they say was an old saanic church, but i dont really know that for sure. Next to the rubble was a white penticle star made of white rocks. We also crossed the feild and tried to walk into the woods, and once we stepped into the woods all of our flashligts stopped working, and it became silent (keep in mind this was summer, and we were by woods so we heard all the night noises of bugs and crickets and such), so we freaked out, and went back to the cars, also tried to take pictures of the rubble, with a flash, and it just came out black….also we went up the road to the bridge, however i dont know what other people are talking about because its a small bridge that only one car can go through at a time, and you go under the bridge, not over it. We tried taking pictures of the bridge with our camera, and the headlights from the car, but nothing came out except the reflectors on the side of the bridge. NOW here is the really creepy part…..we were driving, and un-known car (not truck) started to follow us, turning their lights on and off at us. We tried turning into other streets but this car would not stop, it was a 2 door or 4 door, and it looked like at least4 people were in the car….we once turned, parked, got out of our cars, and the un-known car just sat there before a stop sign. This continued for about 20 minutes or so, and then we left, came out on Belvidere Rd, and the car turned around and left.

Now this part may be just coinsidence, or part of this creepy place. We lived in Crystal Lake, and we were going home about 2 or 3 in the morning, and we were driving on RT 20, which is only a 2 lane rd. Our friends were in the back doozing off, and my husband was trying to help me stay awake, and I saw a car coming towards me, who started to turn his lights on and off at me, while coming towards me, I told my husband, and our friends woke up, and the car lights went off, and then back on right in front of me, I swirved, and the car went in cirles ending up across both lanes, and while the dust settled and we collected ourselves, one of our friends told me to DRIVE NOW, because he noticed the person who tried running us off the road, had stopped and turned around. Needless to say i pealed out of there and sped home as fast as i could. To this day I will neer return to that place because it gave off such an erie feeling. Another weird part is while we were driving on Poole Rd, and we noticed that we were passing the same streets over and over, and we did find a small cemetary, and that must have been the most peacefull place there, because once we stepped into the cemetary we all just felt calm.

Hey every1 I am into the paranormal stuff, I have started my own team called R.I.P.S. (rockford investigators of paranormal situations). We MIGHT go out there, ANGRY BLACK TRUCK has been my contact on AIM. Telling me things, which I wont say until I get his permission. I DID find some info though, like that theres cults and the home/abandoned house was a slaughterhouse, ANGRY BLACK TRUCK said he saw a sacrificed like lamb or dog by the shed. Also I think he said something about a chainsaw. Also that theres an alter in the woods and cults skin an animal like every thursday. All the cult stuff I did NOT get from ANGRY BLACK TRUCK except the animal he saw, and he’s got some pretty good pics.
