JLV,

I just got back from Antwerp and saw an amazing old WWII fortress built into a hill in Wilrijk! It definitely was a bit creepy! Sadly it was closed off.

Living in Belgium, and as a regular visitor of the worldwar 1 battlefields (near Ypres) ... I only can state that when visiting "Sanctuary Wood" trenches (can still be seen today as it s a open air museum) there is a certain feel and smell ... (some can even smell the burned powder and the decomposing corpses) ... the most impressive part is the small communication tunnel on the far side

I went to that school, and at one point it was a hospital for civil war soldiers. In my 4 years there, I have never seen a ghost or felt a paranormal vibe, especially in that section of woods. Though apparently the Pendleton Hall building is haunted.

Being alone in the basement of that building late at night, is certainly an experience. It may have been rats, but I definitely heard something down there, like a screwdriver or something being dropped.

to me that sounds creapy if i would have known that i would have stopped myself from asking to go to a boarding school. My oppinion would be to shut the place down as a school and make it a museum where the building can be observed for ancient artifacts and if something goes wrong with one of the students messes up anything in that building it could mess up something in history and they would regret it for the rest of their lives because they know that they messed up a part of history and the school would regret it forever because they know that they should have clossed down the place and made it a museum because it could cost them thousands beyond millions of dollars!!!!

I think that the story is scary, sad, and cool.It is scary because you can hear screams, sad because many people died, and cool because even though it was bad it was one of the biggest wars in history!

This is really sad. I mean, so many young lives were lost during the civil war. I think that every where there is a Civil War haunting, a seance should be held. Just to put these poor souls at rest.
