I grew up in Bluffton and have an active interest in the paranormal. I can accurately say that I have never heard of this place and doubt it’s existance. As for the layout of Bluffton, I know that there is no house at the bottom of a hill. The town itself is relatively flat. I think someone has a vivid imagination and is reaching for their 15 minutes of fame.

Um I have lived in the Bluffton area my whole life and I am 25. I have NEVER heard of any thing that exciting happening there. BUT I have heard and witnessed some freaky stuff in my fathers house! My Grandpa had a heart attack in the garage when my Dad was only 7. He died of course and he decided to hang around for a while I suppose. If you want to know more let me know!

Me and my family was at the Rittenhouse having lunch and my 2yr old daughter saw the ghost of the little girl. My daughter said “hi baby girl go night night”. Only after that day did we find out about the little girl that died there.

On Jan.2, 2012, my husband and I took a drive up to Decatur, IN to the Kuklehan Mansion. After talking with a gentleman who lived in the area we were able to locate the mansion. The property has been bought. We drove up to the mansion and spoke with the new owners. He informed us that the hole we saw on the way up was the last piece of evidence of the mansion. He tore it down. What remained was the hole for the basement. He said no more and shut the door. The cheese factory that is located on this property is also down and replaced with new barns.

I was born and raised in Bluffton, would be curious as to this hill also and its exact location, The RittenHouse Restaurant used to be McBride Funeral home back 40+ years ago, not sure if that has anything to do with the activity. We lived in a huge white apt building on the corner of Marion and Wabash, It is heavly haunted. It also used to be Cooper’s Nursing home 60+ years ago.

I grew up in Bluffton, and I know the area very well. All of the houses at the bottom of Humphrey Hill were haunted, and only one remains. Humphrey Hill – known as this by the local residents, you will never find it on a map by this name – is at the north end of Morgan St, across the tracks and down the hill.
