Me and my friends went awhile back when i was about 2:30am. To tell you the truth it was scary. We saw the light about 3 times. it was orangy, red. we didnt see any people partying though. i dont know where you people are getting that. i recomend going there though.(:

Me and some friends went to Ghost Road last night and there was just a lot of stuff that went down. We took a car and a truck. We were planning on jumping in the back of the truck when we got there. I drove the car and when came up onto the road the girl driving the truck slammed into me right in front of Ghost Road. So were stuck there upset because we pretty much drove an hour to just get in a wreck. So as were sitting there waiting for someone who lived about 20 minutes away to come help us me and 2 of my friends decide to just start walking down the road until we the call that guy was there. We walked down to the first sign and we get the call. So we start to head back one of the guys with me was little behind because he wanted to keep walking down and when me and the other guy turn around to tell him come one the light appears about 50 yards away. We start freaking out and start slowly backing up. Then we see his body holding the lantern and he bends over to the side of the road and disappears. We start running back and then he appeared closer. When we make it back we just stood there at the beginning of the road looking at him pacing back in forth across the road as if he was waiting, daring us to come down. He was slowly getting closer as we watched. It was the scariest time we’ve went and I’ve been 4 times and seen the light every time. It’s real and anyone who doesn’t think so or have been and didn’t see the light, keep going. He will appear eventually. And he doesn’t play around.

anyone know about the old haunted hotel that used to be on bragg road would be thankful for any information

we are going tomorrow night!!! my dad and my uncle have both seen the light. these are grown men and it scared the **** out of them. he is taking me and my cousin tomorrow so hopefully we will see it!

We have been a couple of times. The first time me and my daughter went by ourselves and scared ourselves and really didnt see anything. The second time we went with my son and daughter and her friend and we saw red orbs in the thicket. We decided to park with the lights out and I saw a red orb come from behind us as I watched it in the side mirror come toward us and it stopped and hovered on the truck I put the car in drive and took off. A little while later we pulled off and parked to read a sign and we heard very scary sounds coming toward us (water was next to road) and we took off. We drove to the tracks and saw many blinking orbs in the trees and screeching sounds coming from the tracks (no train). We left. It is scary to drive down the road and sometimes you see the lights and sometime you dont. The later it is (12-3am) is the best time to see them. I havent been in a while and need directions from Houston again to go. Thanks

i saw that light

when i hurd the story i thought it wasnt true but u have to see it to believe it
its really scary…

I have heard that there is swamp near by and the swamp gives off some kind of lights or something like that, but we are going to go friday on halloween. Hopefully It wont be a let down.

I have lived near bragg road all my life! I also have been down there many times and every time I go down there I always see the light. The light is very hard to explain! For the few that say they have never seen the light, they must be down the wrong road! I am so tired of other towns trying to make up stories of “there” Bragg Road there is only one please stop! My Great Grand-ma knows the story by heart, and before she passed away she told me the story. This train conductor went out to check his train, because it had stopped for no reason. Well when he was checking it out the train it started up and went about as fast as it would if it was going steadily and it knocked his head right off. Well the light your supposed to see is the man searching for his head! The light will follow you and it is very scare but nothing compares to what I encountered! When I was 11 my Grand-ma and Grand-pa took me, my little brothers, and my cousins to bragg road. Well all the kids were in the tail-gate. We had stopped for a min. and were looking at the light. Well wouldn’t you know it, it had started to come towards us ,by that time I was used to the light and knew it wouldn’t harm me! All of the sudden something hit the back of the truck were I was sitting I looked to my left and Saw a guy running towards the woods but it wasn’t a real man , because when he hit the woods it disappeared. When my Grand-ma turned the truck around the light was following us out of the road. I saw a shadow following us from by the woods. I was so frightened Because I have never seen that before. That was the last time I ever went down that road in a truck.

The light is real. My grandfather wrote a song about it when I was little and I learned all about it. I’ve seen it myself too.

okay so last night my mom stepdad, step brother and my two best friends loaded up in the truck and drove 1 hour and 30 min to see this “light”. We got there about 9/9:30 and started to drive down the road. We were going south… about half way down we saw a bright light (like a light bulb color) and it seemed like it was walking away from us. We continued to follow the light but it went away about 30 seconds later. It seemed then we saw the light any where from 3-7 minute intervals. it was always a white bright lite that got father away from us. We could never catch up to it. When we got to the end of the road we turned arounda and headed back the other way..we saw nothing.
–I don’t know if this was the light but it would be cool to think that it was.

Not only did me and my friends see the light, we entered the cemetery located there. When we entered, we saw movement in the woods on the left side of our vehicle. We stopped to look, not getting out of course, and not but 10 seconds later, a strange man (a real man) walked out-passed our car in the front looking as us, and re-entered the woods to the left of our vehicle. It was truly scary and traumatizing.

There is no swamp near Bragg Rd. And the lights are just mostly car lights ..except this ONE time I know of..

This place is the real deal. I’ve seen it on several occasions and not on a few as well. I’t doesn’t matter if you believe in the supernatural or look for logic in everything, when you see it everything goes out window. Whatever these lights are they are surely for real. Go check it and bring a diaper.

Me and some of my friends have been to bragg road about 3 times now and the first two times we didn’t see anything and we thought it was just a fake story and we went back last night and we turned the lights off and parked and after a couple of minutes we seen a blue light way down the road and we thought it was a car or something so we turned out headlights back on and it went away so we started driving again and we stopped and turned the lights off again and sat there for a minute and we seen the light again this time it was closer and much brighter, again we turned the lights on and it went away and after we passed the camp the light was behind us so we turned around on one of the side roads and stopped in front of the camp and we didn’t see the light anymore so we went home because we was freaked out! *(This is a True Story Not A Lie)*

I posted this on the other saratoga topic but their are 5 other ghost light stories in the states that involve an engineer loosing his head and searching with a latern, the maco light, the early light and the gurdnor light. They all involve a marshy,swampy, area and an old train track… if you look around the one in alabame the road looks just like the saratoga one…. most likely it is fox fire or methane gas…i’ve seen the light and it is amazing… but here are some links….your going to see this engineer really gets around.

im from that area and im sorry to inform you but the light you are seeing is swamp gas. since that area has a lot of oil and natural gas. That road was our party place on the weekends.

See the swamp gas is what I thought, but when uh scientist went out there in 1995 they said it was car headlights. But their were no cars out in 1905 when the light was mentioned in a city ordinance.adv
