Back in the 80′s, when I was a teenager,My Mom, Dad, Aunt, and 4 of my freinds and I went to Ghost Road.It was so cold outside. My 4 friend and myself were rideing in the back of the truck with blankets freezing our butts off.We stopped at a small little restraunt somewhere near that road and ate and warmed up. All of talking and so excited about going to Ghost Road. There was a policeman sitting at a table in there listening. When we got to the road we slowly went down it then turned around and went back the way we came.My Dad pulled over and turned out the lights.All was so quite.Suddenly we saw a light that looked as though it was floating down the road toward us from the front of our truck. My Mom and Aunt were screaming and the last time I looked at them, they were both in the floorboard hiding and screaming for dear life. I am not sure why the 5 of us in the back of the truck were’nt freaking out. Maybe because it was so funny watching Mom and Aunt Doris.I have to admit it looked like it was just floating down the road and kind of changed colors.When the lights got almost to the front of the truck all of a sudden the policeman from the restraunt flashed his light and passed us up. Listening to us in the diner,I guess he did’nt want us to be dissapointed.To this policeman, if you are reading this,you gave us teenagers the best time that night.The adults were the ones that you scared.That trip was never forgotton.Thanks.

I’m in Beaumont working for a couple of months, and would like to get a few other people together to go for a ride down the road one night…if you’re interested, leave a comment.

Just a tip don’t go on a weekend..the road will be crowded…it’s about as wide as one lane of highway…so it’s hard to get around other cars, and their is only like maybe one spot to turn around every mile or so….and remember to find a spot about 3miles down the road that way you can see it good from either direction.

your welcome…it will truly be like nothing you’ve never seen…the road is so dark you can barely see 10 ft. infront of you and you really can’t drive any faster then 20. The thing that will really freak you out is the anticipation that something bad is going to happen, because it’s so creepy out there. I know we couldn’t get cell phone signals, and the whole setting has a “Friday the 13th” vibe.

I beleive there really is a light & it was the man who got his head cut off by the train even tho i havent seen it yet i plan on goin but i do know cuz my uncle is a logger & seen it he was so scared he said he was cussing at it sayin i didnt kill u. I also hav friends from diboll who went down there & they said dont go it will scare the heck outa u they left & wont eva go bak. if u do like paranormal stuff there is a place called fodice cemetary road in pennington tx near Groveton bout 30 miles from lufkin. its an old long dirt road & on the right there is & old scary lookin big school the story is that it was an african american school & the principal was abbusing the girl & lined them up all in this room killed them then hisself. some people say books fly if u say nething racist. me & my friends decided to go & i tryed scaring my friends by playing the piano but when i stoped it kep goin i was so scared, the floor is falling thro & glass everywhere. two of my frenz stayed in the car & told us to keep a light on the windows well they said when we passed the blood room the light went out & i knw i didnt take it off. in the last room we went in a black shadow swep across the room we ran out & i almost blew up my car trying to leave. we turn around to leave & there was an old scary book laying in the road i thought at first that it fell out off my car but my frends said i didnt hav one n my car one girl had an ashma attack she was so scared. we hav went several time & my aunt even said she saw sumthing & heard noises. some of my friends are so scared they wont even go bak

If u read a link a few post above you will see there are 5 or 6 ghost lights on train tracks through out the u.s.a. They all have the same story of a guy losing his head. It’s an urban legend. It originates in California. However the bragg light is very real. Look for it after 2.am. on weekday

Man anyone who dosen’t believe in ghost go to Braggs Road and you will trust that… My sister didn’t believe it till I went and took her.. The light is of a headless man that walks around looking for his head trust and believe me it is real and he is there… The railroad tracks if you didnt ever cross them go back and when you get to the rail road tracks park your car on top of them kill your car and put it in nurtral and sit there you will be pushd off of them… When you get out look on the back of your car and you will see the little handprints of childeren that was killed there by a train… its a sad story… Now the light can’t hurt you or the childeren can’t either… I am a highly believer in ghost I can hear and feel when they are around and tell you if they are good or bad spirits… I believe in them 100% the only gift that I don’t have is seeing them… I have a picture of the Ghost that haunts ghost road if you don’t believe it then text me at 832-984-7181 and I will be more than happy to forward you the picture of it… Its Wicked im telling you… So if you dont believe it then I will send it to your phone… And it will make you a firm believer in Ghost Road…

I live in Liberty and I have been down brag road several of times… i can say i have never seen the light.. but the cemetary that is all the way at then end is scary as hell rumor has it that there is a old headstone out there and that a witch was burried out there after being hung.. if this is true i have no clue.. i went out there with some friends one nite there was four of us we started walking when all of a sudden we all got this feeling to walk faster crazy i know.. one of us busted out our cell phone to use it as a light and the battery had drain from all of our cell phones when they had just been charged… one of us were able to finally get our phone on when on accident she accidently took a picture.. we started running for the car laughing of course when i literaly felt something trip me and i hit the ground thats when the laughing stopped…i scramble to the car lock the doors and tried to take off but the car felt as if it did not want to go into gear after messing with it for a while and freaking out the car started.. we pulled our phones our and batteris were fine we looked at the pic and in a hazey fog you could see the figures standing in the picture on lookin like a child and the other like a women and then a man they look as if they had old clothes on from back in the day with trench coats and hats.. it was very scary.. also there i a railroad track that is back there and they say that a bus full of kids were also killed on the track they say if you put baby powder on your bumper and kill the car on the tracks turn off the lighs and everything you will supposelly feel them pushing you off… but i have never felt that but i have seen hand prints on the bumper thats what the baby powder is for…

actually the bus and train incident happened in san antonio. you can find that with a google search. some say it didn’t even happen in texas.

SO IM NOT A BELIEVER IN GHOST. MY WIFE HER DAD AND HER SISTERS DECIDED WE SHOULD ALL GO. WE WENT AND YEAH NOTHING HAPPENED. UNTIL ON NIGHT MY WIFE AND OUR FRIEND TOOK MY TRUCK. THE MOON WASNT OUT, AS I WAS DRIVING I SAW SMALL MIST FIGURES GO ACROSS THE ROAD, DIDNT WANT TO SAY ANYTHING AND LOOK STUPID AND I THOUGHT MAYBE IT WAS FOG. WE WENT 4 MILES DOWN AND DECIDED TO TURN AROUND, MY TRUCK STARTED ACTIN FUNNY (UNUSUALLY FOR A 1 YR OLD TRUCK)BUT I BRUSHED IT OFF. THEN SUDDENLY MY WIFE YELLED HOLY S***! DID YA SEE THAT AND I DID THIS TIME INSTEAD OF A SMALL POCKET OF MIST IT WAS A FIGURE. WE KEPT GOING AND I HAD MY WINDOW DOWN I HEARD FOOTSTEPS LIKE SOMEONE WAS RUNNING( NOT LIKE AN ANIMAL) THEN IT SHOT NEXT TO MY TRUCK I SPED UP IT STILL WAS NEXT TO ME, I SUDDENLY HAD RINGING IN MY EAR AND MY WIFE INSTANTLY GOT A HEADACHE. WE HIGHTAILED IT FROM THERE. EVEN THOUGH THAT CHANGED MY LOOK ON GHOST I WILL DEFF BE BACK !!

Please, please believe that Bragg Road is truely haunted by that Ghost light!! It feeds on your fear!! It knows me, because I challenged it, the first time I encountered that light!! Please beware of the Bragg Light!! It exists, it is real. It is the ghost light of a beheaded man!! I know becuz it appeared to me and a headless man emerged from that light, right in front of my car!!!

The Bragg Road Ghost light is real!!!! It is the ghost light of a headless man!! It feeds off of your fear!!! It knows me becuz I challenged it!! The headless man came out of the light and walked up to my car, turned around, walked away and made a noise, like carrying a latern. It echoed all the way down the road. He vanished in front of my car!!! True story!!!

It’s fun to spot the liars on this thred. You can tell some of you haven’t even been down the road before. There is no headless ghost on the road. That story is an unrban legend, it is told in 5 other states. They even have records of the mans name it allegedly happened to. If you scroll up about 10 posts you will see links to 3 other stories with the same headless man. There is a light out there, but you guys need to look it up on youtube. It’s just a light appears, dissappears. You can’t just turn your car around because the road is 8 ft. wide. you can’t speed off, because you will flip your car. Going 30 is pushing it.

I have been down Bragg RD as family owns land there. The legend IS you will see a light crossing the dirt road as its the man looking for his head that was hit by the train. I will be there for our yearly Halloween party. As I read from the May 26,2010 comment, you definitely can NOT go fast and we were ablt to turn around but it was a very slow process. I havent saw the light as of yet. The children’s hand prints is new for me to ever hear. It looks like I may need to try that.
