My husband & I went down Bragg Rd. Saturday, October 22nd. We had both been down the road years before when we were teenagers (we now have grown kids). We saw kids partying and trying to scare those passing by. Neither of us saw the lights but did feel something incredibly strange. I was driving our Expedition with all of the windows down and the moonroof open. My husband was on the passenger side kneeling on the seat with his upper body out of the window. We turned onto the road from the Saratoga side and turned off the headlights, leaving only the parking lights. We were traveling maybe 5-10mph, so no breeze. After maybe two miles, the air temperature substantially dropped. I felt like someone was blowing air directly into my face. Also, I felt like something heavy was on me, not arms but rather like a coat or something. I didn’t feel warm by any means, just simply weighted down. My husband & I both made comments of how cold it suddenly felt. We continued down Bragg Rd until we got to the highway on the North end. We crossed the road, crossed the tracks, and went by the place that we thought the hotel had once stood (North side of tracks). The road curves sharply to the right not far past there. We decided to turn around. The air temperature warmed quite a bit when we were turning around. I can’t explain why the temperature seemed to change so much, but I know something was with us. Very freaky, indeed!

When will people start believing in the world of the supernatural?
Bragg Rd is haunted by a headless ghost that manifests itself as a ghostly light. The headless one is not the only spook too terrorize people on that road, but it is the predominate manifestation.
If you go out to Bragg Road searching for spooks, be warned, you may just find what you are looking for on that dark creepy lonely road!!

Just saw it tonight. My husband told our 4 yr. old the “Ghost Light Story” and she asked about it for days. Our neighbor Al heard her ask about it and he had never been, so we decide we might go Friday night. So, neighbor and his wife, me Eugene and Em take a road trip to the Bragg Road to see what it’s about. And we see it. At first we tried to explain it away as another car coming down the road. Never meet a car. At first it appeared as a small red light, then as a whitish-yellow and “flickering” like a flame. It always stayed the same distance away like “you could never reach it.” As we drove down the road it would disappear and reappear often, looking larger and smaller at times. Then when you are reaching the end of the road it does the very same thing, but it is now behind you! We got out of the car to get a better look and I jokingly yelled, “I have your head!” That light flickered bright three times. You will never convince me that I didn’t communicate with a ghost.

Can someone tell me the name of this cemetery. Is it Felps? Any directions would be appreciated. I hear it’s on the 1293 side of the road. Is it exactly at the end? I also understand there is some small ghost town around the end of the road?

I live in Saratoga. We go to Bragg Road all the time. Every time I go, I start at the FM 787 side because I live on that side. What you do is turn your lights off at the beginning of the road and drive slowly all the way down. Just keep your eyes open for any lights. Also, there are usually other cars driving down the road,and sometimes their headlights can be mistaken for the light. But if, as you continue towards the light, it stays in one ball and doesn’t split into two (headlights), then this is the light. All the times I’ve been and seen it, it has never gotten past the front of my car. It is never beside you, in the woods. If you see it, you will see it in the middle of the road. When you come out at FM 1293, go straight and there is a set of railroad tracks. People just play on those, you know the classic legend of the kids that will push your car off for you if it turns off? Well, there is no Saratoga story like that, but people still play on the tracks. Also, if you go all the way down, to the 1293 side, you can turn right and go down that highway until you see another dirt road, then turn down it and keep going until you come to a graveyard. Somewhere in the graveyard is the Witch’s Grave, but every time you go the headstone is moved a different way. I’ve seen the headstone a few times and every time it is moved a different way. Scary stuff. But take it from a person who has lived in Saratoga her whole life, the light is real!

I have been down Bragg RD as family owns land there. The legend IS you will see a light crossing the dirt road as its the man looking for his head that was hit by the train. I will be there for our yearly Halloween party. As I read from the May 26,2010 comment, you definitely can NOT go fast and we were ablt to turn around but it was a very slow process. I havent saw the light as of yet. The children’s hand prints is new for me to ever hear. It looks like I may need to try that.

It’s fun to spot the liars on this thred. You can tell some of you haven’t even been down the road before. There is no headless ghost on the road. That story is an unrban legend, it is told in 5 other states. They even have records of the mans name it allegedly happened to. If you scroll up about 10 posts you will see links to 3 other stories with the same headless man. There is a light out there, but you guys need to look it up on youtube. It’s just a light appears, dissappears. You can’t just turn your car around because the road is 8 ft. wide. you can’t speed off, because you will flip your car. Going 30 is pushing it.

The Bragg Road Ghost light is real!!!! It is the ghost light of a headless man!! It feeds off of your fear!!! It knows me becuz I challenged it!! The headless man came out of the light and walked up to my car, turned around, walked away and made a noise, like carrying a latern. It echoed all the way down the road. He vanished in front of my car!!! True story!!!

Please, please believe that Bragg Road is truely haunted by that Ghost light!! It feeds on your fear!! It knows me, because I challenged it, the first time I encountered that light!! Please beware of the Bragg Light!! It exists, it is real. It is the ghost light of a beheaded man!! I know becuz it appeared to me and a headless man emerged from that light, right in front of my car!!!

SO IM NOT A BELIEVER IN GHOST. MY WIFE HER DAD AND HER SISTERS DECIDED WE SHOULD ALL GO. WE WENT AND YEAH NOTHING HAPPENED. UNTIL ON NIGHT MY WIFE AND OUR FRIEND TOOK MY TRUCK. THE MOON WASNT OUT, AS I WAS DRIVING I SAW SMALL MIST FIGURES GO ACROSS THE ROAD, DIDNT WANT TO SAY ANYTHING AND LOOK STUPID AND I THOUGHT MAYBE IT WAS FOG. WE WENT 4 MILES DOWN AND DECIDED TO TURN AROUND, MY TRUCK STARTED ACTIN FUNNY (UNUSUALLY FOR A 1 YR OLD TRUCK)BUT I BRUSHED IT OFF. THEN SUDDENLY MY WIFE YELLED HOLY S***! DID YA SEE THAT AND I DID THIS TIME INSTEAD OF A SMALL POCKET OF MIST IT WAS A FIGURE. WE KEPT GOING AND I HAD MY WINDOW DOWN I HEARD FOOTSTEPS LIKE SOMEONE WAS RUNNING( NOT LIKE AN ANIMAL) THEN IT SHOT NEXT TO MY TRUCK I SPED UP IT STILL WAS NEXT TO ME, I SUDDENLY HAD RINGING IN MY EAR AND MY WIFE INSTANTLY GOT A HEADACHE. WE HIGHTAILED IT FROM THERE. EVEN THOUGH THAT CHANGED MY LOOK ON GHOST I WILL DEFF BE BACK !!
