Real Haunted House

Bunny Man Bridge

Fairfax Station, Virginia

During the 1800s, a man went off to hunt for food. Upon return to his home, however, he discovered the mutilated bodies of his wife and child. Immediately, he summoned the sheriff. Since the bodies were so horribly mutilated and there were no other suspects, the husband was sent to a mental institution. Maintaining his innocence, the man vowed revenge. After escaping from the institution, the man took up residence near a bridge. Since the only clothes he owned were those made from rabbits’ skin, he soon became known as the “Bunny Man.” As time passed, children started playing near and around the Bunny Man. When several children came up missing, the authorities were notified. When they reached the bridge, officials saw body parts of the children hanging from trees; they also saw the Bunny Man being run over by a train. Today it is said that one may see body parts hanging from the trees and will hear the Bunny Man laughing.

I’ve heard a couple stories, one is of the mental institution which isn’t that far from the bridge, it’s abandoned now, you can go to it. One story says that there was 2 guys that excaped the intitution and they were found at the bridge, one hanging from it, the other surounded by bunny corpses and eating them. Another story is that the people didn’t want the mental house so close to them so they demanded all the inmates be moved, but the bus taking them got hit by a train and some died some escaped. All were found but 2 and they were later found at the bridge, one hangning from it, antoher surounded by bunny courpses and eating them. There are also sorties that it was the bunnyman that killed naught children and adult that came wandering by the bridge, some found hanging. But some say it’s just a myth but then, why must the police put surveilance around the bridge. I’ve never seen the records, but some articles and writting say that they’ve checked out the story and the intitution that the bus was heading too didn’t fit the date because it wasn’t built yet, then again they could’ve been transporting them somewhere else and they say that there are no records of any deaths near that bridge, but stories come from somewhere right?

Not that I am a disbeliever, because I do believe in
the Bunnyman Bridge, but I will get into that in a
minute…I read that there is no library in Clifton on the clifton historic website.

As for the BunnyMan himself, well, a friend of mine
and I went to the bridge yesterday afternoon on our
way to a her friend’s parent’s house for Thanksgiving
dinner. Before she got to the bridge and hit her
breaks, I had an overwhelming feeling of headrush and
then a massive headache. We drove the full route of
Fairfax Station Road, and exited through Clifton Road
onto route 123. My headache left as soon as we were on
Route 123. We saw many carcuses (sp?) on the road on
our journey out. I sensed something at the bridge, I know I did.

Hi,

We went there as we had friends in from michigan that saw this place on the internet. We went there and there was a sign no trespassing so drove through and parked on other side of road with lights on. We walked through the tunnel and nothing. However, as we walked away 4 of us got very sour stomachs and we felt some kind of pressence for sure. We drove back through tunnel and as we went up the hill our SUV pulled to the right kinda like a jerking of the car and 4 of use again got very upset stomachs. It was a bit werid as I was doing the driving. I wonder if something happened in that area of the road ?

I am not sure about stories but for sure I sensed something there as I walked away from the tunnel.

I visited Bunnyman’s Bridge, completely skeptical of everything I’ve heard. Ofcoarse, it wasn’t Halloween or any particular date.

Its a pretty creepy place to visit alone at night, but other than that I didn’t notice anything.

I think the story is true. I know it hasn’t been proved but how do you explain the dead people. Also can you see the Asylum and shack from local. live or google maps? I don’t plan to go there because i dont feel like dieing very soon.

i also think that the stroy is true. What else would explain all of the dead bodies and weird sightings? But who is the bunnyman? Where is he? Is he still alive or is he just a carcass buried in dirt? Can he still kill you or is he a dormant geezer in the woods? Does he walk around with a walker and a ax or what he has to be dead hes over 100+ years old.

I live in the general area of the Bunnyman Bridge. Lived there my entire life (and no, most of us locals aren’t crazy) When I was little, my mom and I got lost on our way to my piano lesson and we went under the bridge to turn around (Note: This was before I knew the story). We went under slowly and I just had a weird eerie feeling.

Years later, I went back with some friends. We walked under the bridge and it just didn’t feel right. It felt as though someone was watching us. Not to mention it was quite chilly (and it was a summer day). We didn’t stay for long. I do believe something goes on there.

Paranormal activity doesn’t happen 24/7. If you ask me, I’d say you should go back to Bunnyman Bridge more than once. Three times is a charm.

You probably felt like you were being watched cause about 2 years ago someone installed a camera right under the bridge. Now I’m not sure if it works or not…but every time I’ve gone out there you hear weird things from the backside of the bridge and it really doesn’t matter what time of day, i was in my work truck and it stalled, went back that night and my own personal car stalled. Police are trying to cut down on kids going out there but just be careful cause they will get you for trespassing but it’s almost worth it to try and figure this story out.

Hopefully this will end the endless fuel that people keep adding to the “Legend” of the Bunnyman bridge, and that’s all that it is. So sick and tired of people posting **** on her that isnt true.
