I've never explored any cemetaries in Lebanon, but there's one near Tumbling Creek, not far from Saltville that has pretty much the same thing. There'll be a huge white flame that wiggles and floats about, or sometimes two that seem to dance. I've never gotten close enough to find out whether they scream or not. I don't hunt anything that's willing to let me alone.
I did go onto the hill the day after I saw them to look around. All I found was a little depression there in the slate where I thought one of them had been.

"the story is not true sorry guys…." Sorry to burst your bubble Jessica but the story IS true. I've lived in Lebanon for around 10 years and I've heard of the graveyard. I've never been up there myself but my brother has. He said he heard voices all around him and felt the presence of something. He became frightened so he ran away. He jumped the wire fence ripping a hole in his pants. On the other side of the fence he hunkered down as something mazzive rushed past him and his flashlight went out. He uncurled, checked to see if the coast was clear he ran all the way back to Main Street. He's not been back up there since. I don't know the full details but I believe him when he told me that. There are things in this world that can not be easily explained. The paranormal is NO laughing matter.

I am going to be vacationing in the area this fall. I would love to go to the cemetary. However, there seems to be two conflicting sets of directions posted here. Richard Fulgham gives directions & Willie gives directions. Which one of these are correct? And, Willie says the only thing he has seen there are the police. Why would the police be out in such of an out of way place? Is the cemetary located on private property that has been posted? I thought all cemetaries in the state of Virginia had right of ways to access them unless they were located on private family property. Could someone shed some light on this for me & give me a good set of directions to the cemetary. Thanks!
