Real Haunted Houses

Real Haunted House

Courthouse

Boonville, Indiana

The ghosts of public hanging victims haunt this courthouse. Outside around midnight, a rope floating and being pulled in midair is seen. In the basement, one may also hear screams and at times the room becomes so cold, one can feel the presence of despair, fear, and hostility.

My mom worked her. She had never witnessed anything out of the ordanary. I live here and I have never seen anything happen. But I don’t doubt that there are ghost of the people that have been hung.

I grew up in Boonville. I do not live there anymore but I grew up in a house that was very active with unexplained things. I also visited some homes that were also believed to be haunted. I would really like to hear what the people who live in the house have to say about it now. I know that the mother has said that her little girl is talking to someone who is not there. The little girl is in the same room that was mine.

Is anyone familiar with the “devil” graves in Maple Grove Cemetery? It used to be a pretty popular party spot in the day. I grew up pretty close to the cemetery.

I live in a documented, haunted house in Boonville In. Supposedly one of the most active in the area. I keep this info private. Only the para-normal investigation group knows the locale and details. Neighbors and passers-by see and hear our “previous residents” regularly. When we first moved in, the “events” were exciting/interesting, but now they’ve become a nuisance. Honestly, the longer I live there, the less I believe in the whole “stuck souls of dead people” theory. I do believe that the human soul has mass, and mass does not simply dissappear when death occurs. I suspect that the natural materials of the old house could “hold”/ “record” this very real energy. It’s the most logical explaination.

Ok so black annie is supposed to be haunting scales lake park. The story goes that TD Scales (the man who donated all the land for the park) built his house in the woods. one day a fire broke out and everyone but the african american servant girl, annie, survived. now annie roams the woods and sometimes the pavilion. I work there and though I’ve never had a personal experience, we have some documented cases on file…it’s pretty creepy.

My moms’ friend saw a lady that had a car accident a few years back. She had the wreck on 2 way stop on Monroe St in Boonville. She was walking to her room when she looked up and saw the lady that had the accident. She didn’t even get scared she knew who it was.

What amazes me is the unbelievable grammar and spelling mistakes that you morons make. How can anyone take you serious when you can’t spell? Typical Boonville!

Alright, Grammar Teacher, **** you. Just because the majority of people in Boonville are complete and total idiots does not mean that we all are. It would be kind of you to retract that statement seeing as there are some of use who can, and know how to, type well. It’s very cliche and unbecoming of a teacher to make such an assumption based off of popular belief. You just showed all of us how idiotic you are in your comment, so please refrain from commenting back.

I lived in Boonville, IN on N 4th St and the house I lived in I’m pretty sure is haunted. I would often hear and feel things in my bedroom at night as if someone were watching me from this particular corner of my room. One night I REALLY could not sleep because of it and then my cat woke up and hissed and actually growled at the same corner I was scared of. I had to call my dad who was asleep downstairs and it took him 20 minutes to convince me to get off my bed. The house was built in 1901 I believe and there was once a fire there. To my knowledge there was only one person in the house and he made it out alive. Thanks for reading. My email address is J_T_Larsen@yahoo.com if anyone is interested.

Actualy there are tons of black annie stories there is one of where Black Annie is not a human at all instead she is a statue and she was in a cementary for a guys wife when se died unfortunatly weird things started to happenn when people started coming some claimed that the statue got up and chased after them some say that the statue did the same but reached for them and tried to crush them (only happend at Night) well a colledge was very skeptical and made a history class go there and they said that all students had to sit on the statues lap well when they got to the last three students they all sat down together and well the next thing they know Black Annie was trying to kill them and she did all the other colledge students stared and looked at the statue starting to stand up and releasing its grip then all threee students fell dead to the ground and the others ran for thier lives as the eyes of the statue looked at them with red glowing eyes and another version is hat black annie was a widow whose ten ten year old sons all died at the same time she decided to replace them by kidnapping boys and girls off the street and when they wouldnt be quiet they were dragged by Black Annie into her house and killed them and skinned them and made thier skin her houses wall paper and thier bodies her funiture that one gave me nightmares for a entire year.
