I live in mobile and I have been to cry baby bridge several times and only once was i scared out of my mind. I did not hear a baby cry but I did hear a woman scream. Not a scream of fear but a scream of pure terrior.
I would tell anyone interested in the place to visit it.

#1. There are a couple of “crybaby” bridges in SC. One in Anderson one in EDGEMOOR as opposed to edgefield.

#2. The one in Edgemoor is off of Humpback Bridge Rd. between Rock Hill and Chester. If you google Edgemoor, you can get a map.

#3. It’s creepy, but judging from the number of used condoms and beer bottles, it’s a pretty popular place.

ACTUAL STORY I SAW ON THE NET

CRY BABY BRIDGE: IT IS SAID THAT ONE RAINY NIGHT IN OKLAHOMA ON A SMALL DIRT ROAD . A YOUNG WOMEN WITH HER BABY WAS LEAVING HOME TO HEAD FOR WORK. SHE HAD THE SMALL BABY SAFLEY STRAPPED IN THE CAR SEAT. WHEN SHE CROSSED THE SMALL WOODEN BRIDGE THE DAM OF THE LAKE THAT WAS NEXT TO THE ROAD BROKE. WIPING OUT THE BRIDGE, AND SWEEPING THE CAR DOWN STREAM. THE MOTHERS BODY WAS FOUND WASHED UP ON SHORE, BUT THE BABYS BODY WAS NEVER FOUND THE BABYS CLOTHES AND BLOOD WAS FOUND ON A METAL STAKE UNDER THE WASHED OUT BRIDGE THE CAR SEAT STILL STRAPPED IN THE CAR. THEY DRUG THE LAKE AND THE STREAM AND NEVER FOUND THE BABY. THE BRIDGE IS STILL WASHED OUT TO THIS DAY AND IT IS SAID IF YOU GO THERE ON A RAINY NIGHT YOU CAN STILL HERE THE BABY CRY, AND THE FRANTIC MOTHER WILL APPEAR AND ASK YOU IF YOU HAVE SEEN HER BABY.

I live in Georgia, right across the bridge is Edgefield SC, where “Cry Baby Bridge” is. I have only heard two stories about how the whole thing came about and they resemble each other. There are 3 bridges total out there. After the first one there is a old church and small house on the right hand side with a cemetary in the back of the church. The story goes as I have heard it, The preacher of the church had a daughter, whom had a baby out of wedlock. He was ashamed by it and took the baby and threw it over the bridge and she went in after and they both died. The other story I heard was that she was ashamed after having the baby out of wedlock and threw herself and the baby over the bridge.

I have some very close friends whom have been out there awhile back and was scared out of their mind. You have to travel down a dirt road to get to the bridges. On the first one is where most of the wierd stuff took place. You are suppose to go there, turn ALL your lights off…Get out of the car and put the keys on the hood. Then yell “B!t@H I got your baby!” 3 times. They claimed to have heard a baby crying afterwards. They took several groups of people with them. My friend said she jumped into the car with her sister to keep her company so she wouldnt be by herself and was turned talking to her in the drivers seat and her sister started shaking and screaming and telling her not to look behind her. There was a woman trying to get in the door where she was. They tried starting the car but it wouldnt start up right away. Afterwards they went to a gas station nearby and there were tiny hand prints all over the side of the vehicle and windows.

We went the other night for the first time, we had a farely large group and alot of them wouldn’t shut up so we could even try to hear anything, and me being the chicken I am, wouldn’t even think about yelling things out to anything or anyone that might be out there. But unfortunetly nothing happened at any of the sites around there.

If you live around the Augusta, North Augusta area..I have a good haunting site that I promise you will experience something everytime you go there. This is real **** i live in Fayetteville, Tn right outside of Flintville, TN and i’ve been there twice cuz my friend lives right next to it iz some greepy **** 4 real.

You will see baby foot prints and also you will see a woman holding a baby if you get to clse she will chase you so don’t get to close ppl. It iz off a road called sicard hollow or at least the one in Flintville is! so try it for your self it is creepy!

For crybaby Bridge in Olathe, Kansas.. you take santa fe all the way until you get to Lake Shore Drive. Turn on Lake Shore Drive and you drive as far as you can get until you have to turn. Take a left and keep going until it turns into a gravel road and at the end of the gravel road you’ll see the lake and you stop on the bridge and you’re there. Turn off your car and turn off your lights and roll down your window and be completly silent. when I went, I didn’t hear anything but my friends swore they did. have funn. =]

I’ve been to crybaby bridge numerous times. The only scary thing out there are the numerous rednecks with shotguns that surround the area. Don’t waste your time.

Tonight just like last night my friends and I went to crybaby bridge in Edgefield S.C. We didn’t see anything I think i was praying a little to hard. But we have been before …..most of ya’ll have the story all wrong i have lived in Edgefield and we were always told that there was a women with a baby and these men took her baby and held it over the creek and acted like they tossed it in when really it was a big rock and the women jumped in after her baby and was killed….the story goes on to say that if u go on to the bridge and yell “***** I have your baby ” wierd things will happen, and believe me it will… But that place is under watch by the cops so watch out….there are a lot of other places in are town that are haunted the court house, the local pond, some churches and a lot of houses.
