ive been to the cry baby bridge near sidney with 2 friends of mine although we never heard a baby crying we did have some wierd experiences on a few different occasions. i agree that people claim theres a cry baby bridge in every county in ohio but they cant all be haunted. the story i heard about the sidney bridge is that an indian lady was tired of hearing her baby crying so she threw it off but the things we heard and saw the nights we went to the bridge didnt really add up to that story so i dont know

I’m pretty sure that I lived in Sidney for 8 years, as well as went to that bridge (in the middle of the night no less) many times. I never heard a thing. People are too quick to believe these stupid “ghost” stories.

a crybaby bridge has nothing to do with a baby. These kinds of bridges are where cults would sacrifice the weak and as a result of torture, the sacrifices would cry and the cults would leave them there to die. that is why there are so many

Uh, I don’t know what half of you guys are talking about. The Cry Baby bridge that there referring to is in Kirtland off of Wisner Road. I have been there several times. I swear to God, the first time I was there. It was a group of my friends, and we sat in are car and we did hear the baby cry several times. I didn’t get to see any melonheads(doubt there real.) But I promise you all that I did hear the cries. If it wasn’t for woods all around the area we would of went and try to find the baby.

wow everyone on here calling this stuff stupid are idiots. Who knows if its true or not it is all about the rush of wanting it to be true. They are urban legends which might be true or might not but its just all about the rush of what if. so stop saying all this stuff is **** and its stupid. its fun whether something happens or not

There’s a crybaby bridge located on the outskirts of Pendleton, Indiana. The entrance of the haunted ‘Main Street Graveyard’ is also located meerely yards from the bridge. Legend has it, that a new mom had just cheated on her husband with someone in town. The man found out about it and was after the woman. She took her baby and ran away, but the baby wouldn’t stop crying. In fear that her husband would hear the baby crying and find her, she threw the baby over the big iron white bridge, and kept running. He ended up finding her anyway, and hanging her in the tree and shot her in the head.

Apparently, if you go to the bridge you can, like all the other stories, hear the baby crying, and rumor has it that woman still haunts the graveyard.

Lots of strange things have been reported of happening at that graveyard, sad thing is, it’s’ on private property and the owner lives right next door and knows how haunted it is. She knows its dangerous and will call the cops if youre fooling around with it after dark.

the legend goes that one winter night a slave mother and her baby were trying to hide from a slave hunter the baby kept crying and she was afraid that the babys crying would give her hiding spot away so she drown her baby.

if you go there in the winter at midnight you will see a slave mother trowing her baby into the water.

well… in south carolina there is most definitely a crybaby bridge in edgfield and I am way too chicken to go there but several people I know have gone and they say if you park your car on the bridge, cut it off, get out and put baby powder on the winshield and yell out I got your baby ***** I got your baby then you will see baby feet prints in the baby powder and your car won’t start back up and you will have to push it off the bridge. I dont know if it’s true or not but I’m way too scared to find out lol.
