we live in london ohio we have a crybaby bridge. there has been many stories of crybaby bridge here. But were telling you the real story of the one in London Ohio.In the early 1900′s a black woman was walking with her baby daughter and she tripped and accidently dropped her baby off the bridge. And she heard the baby screaming while searching for the baby. It was midnight so she couldn’t see her baby. So she dove in after her daughter. So she hit her head on something and drowned. The baby stayed afloat for two whole days and finally drowned. And to this very day you can hear and see the Baby and her Mother at Midnight down in the creek. If you stop on the bridge and get out of your car your doors will lock and the baby’s footprint will appear on your window.

The cry baby bridge on Fudge Road is true. But I have went there and only heard the water splashing; no cries of a baby. And the old widowed woman lived in one of the houses and drove a big black cadillac. Everytime someone would drive past her house she would get in her car and chase them out. I know this is true because I grew up near here and have many relatives that have been chased by her. I’m not sure why she chased paople out though.

Tonight me, my dad, sister, and friend went to the bridge in Mercer County. We waited for the cry of a baby and were disappointed when we heard nothing. Later we checked the recording and were stunned to hear a deep man’s voice say, “Get off this bridge.”

the bridge is local residents as cry-woman’s bridge. the bridge is gone now’but its ghostly legend lingers.the young woman who gave her name to the bridge was astranger to the county, unfamiliar with the numerous twisting county roads.late one rainy night, while returning home with her infant son,the woman approached the bridge far too quickly, lost control of her car at the sharp curve just before the bridge entrance, of her car at the sharp curve just before the bridge entrance,&plunged into the rain-swollen creek below.the woman’s body was later found by searchers.however, there was no sign of her baby.only a little pink blanket & a baby’s pacifier were recovered.the woman’s relatives could not be located, and she was buried in a paupe’s grave next to a coffin which held the infant’s blanket and pacifier.following the incident, the ghost of a woman was siad to be seen prowling the bridge, particularly on foggy, rainy night, and the specter’s infrequent appearrunces cry that seemingly pleads where is my baby? a young couple parked near the bridge one evening a few years ago.a short while later, they heard scratching sounds comeing from the roof and trunk of their car.they werw aware of the bridge’s ghostly reputation and decided to leave.but their car wouldn’t start suddenly the scratching became louder and louder, accompanied now by heart-stopping wails. a voice drifted toward them crying, baby where have you gone?baby, where have you gone? the young couple finally got the car started. they scraches that mihht have been caused all over the hood, scraches that might have been caused by a woman’s long fingernails.has the ghost ever found its offspring? or is it still searching? no one really knows for sure. there are lost of stories about the bridge the true ghost stories books. there are 5 stroys in haunted ghost stories and i readed them all and you can go the http://www.haunted heartlands and find all ghosts stories and find if they are true and read them.

I bet in the future if people are able to colonize Mars and a few hundred years passed, they’ed probably have as many crybaby bridges as Earth.

I was told that , there was a women ,celebrating her anniversary and she found her baby dead in its crib ,and she ran to the bridge crying . Then she jumped off the bridge , still wearing her wedding dress . And if you get out of your car , the doors lock , and when you get back in your car , she is rite there .

i haved lived in sidney most of my life, i was born here. and i have heard the story of cry baby bridge since i was little. i was told that a woman and her baby was goin over the bridge and crashed into it killing both of them. and it is told that at midnight you can hear the baby crying and see the mother looking for it. never heard of it doing anything to anyones car. but the mother is supposely all bloody and screaming for her baby. the bridge is located off riverroad crossing toward lockington.it was a covered bridge then and was closed for a while. they have tore it down and built a new one there but the ledgend still goes on. i have never seen these happenings but thats because i would never go there at midnight. but ive had family and friends go there and they all say the same thing, that they see the mother and hear the baby crying.so if your into that kindof stuff my sugestion is to go see for yourself and tell your own story of what you see.
