Yeah i do belive in gost and every thing but the cry baby bridge is way out of the f**** stupid stories around Did you people ever hear of a speaker of any kind wear some one could have recourded a baby and had senseres all around so when some one goes by at a sertain time they go off? I never believed in ghosts but I always thought in the back of my mind that it would be kewl to see one.. i was at crybaby tunnel in Chillicothe Ohio. I stopped in the tunnel and turned my car off and all that crazyness.. my friends were yelling stupid **** out of the windows and we were all like this is bull$hiT! so we started to leave.. and as we were heading down the road we were all talkin about how stupid it was to go there and we all heard what sounded like a baby cry and we all stopped talking and became very silent.. we were like WTF? did you just hear that? and It totally freaked me out. My brother told me it was probably an animal or somethin but it sure was pretty dammm NUTS!!

People, I have lived in Sidney all my life. There is no cry baby bridge. To set the record straight, Bridgeview Middle School. (no longer standing) was not haunted eather. It had tunnels under it that were used as a fall out shelter incase a nuclear war broke out. (yeah like that will help.) Julia Lamb field. (still in use.) was a cemetary at one time and the graves were moved to another cemetary. Graceland I think. Some of the caskets had glass lids. And yes, some of the people had been burried alive.(comas)
You can actually go to the Shelby County Historical Society web site and look up alot of this stuff. I don’t know for a fact that any of the other buildings or places here in Sidney are haunted, but I wouldn’t go digging around the south end of town ghosts. You never know what you may bring home.

i have herd of the cry baby but not the one you speak of. The one iv’e herd ofis different.they say it was in Mexico.They call her cry baby because she cries for her children. One day she decides that she doesn’t want childern. So she takes her childern to lake and she drowned them. So Every night she’d cry looking for her childern.They say that if your not good to your parents that she wil come and visit you. I haven’t tried it out but i know people that have and know they are dead.

I think this story is fasinating and so many different takes on it.

If I’m in Ohio I’ll go across some of the bridges.

there is a bridge where i live in doylstown but the bridge has been tooken out and the road has been closed now every thing belongs to the history place.

The store is that a mother was a witch and she was haveing baby but people didn’t want her haveing baby so she bulit a log house by the bridge and when she went into labor she had the baby on the bridge and throw it over the side in to silver creek then she hung herself

I to have seen the snickers bandit that Andrew talks of. He then asked what my friends and I were doing that night. We all went out and had shots all night. Hmmm, This place in Sidney Ohio is not haunted. I have been a police officer in this county (Shelby) for 7 years and I can tell you it’s BS. Please don’t waste your time looking for gosts hear because it’s a misunderstanding or BS. One thing is for sure, there is a cry baby bridge in most of the counties in Ohio but most of the time it’s just wild cats.

Hi im Becca and yes everyting is true. I have pichures. Its scary theres a rope and theres names of two teenage kids graffited in the bridge. Thers also dead animals. There is a house up on a hill and you can see it. Th legend says its haunted also but if you go into it you will die of a disease like 2 weeks later. I heard the baby crying. I saw footprints. There was footprints on the car when we left to. I almost cried. I was so scared.

there is a cry baby bridge up in shelby county alabama off of home depot its a old wooden bridge that is closed off on a dirt road. its goes over the cahaba river. you can get to there on 280 in birmingham and turn left off the home depot and follow that road and it takes you to it. its a real pretty place at day time but at night it feels all freaky and i get freaky vibes like chills running down my back and hairs sticking up. i go there to drink sometimes at night and it can sometimes get freaky hearing stuff under the bridge like the water splashing and stuff. im no ghost hunter i just wanted to check up on the bridge but it has the same story but ive never heard a baby or seen a mom or something but its freaky like something is there. you can send me a e-mail if you want and i can give you more specific directions. spaz2high1@yahoo.com

I live in Miamisburg,Ohio. There is the first Crybaby Bridge on Fudge RD. My 97 year old grandmother…about 25 years ago…saw for the first time in the newspaper, the story of Crybaby Bridge. She is still alive today and everything that she says and every story that she tells I belive beucase she has proof. She showed me a newspaper clipping of what happend on Crybaby Bridge…Its real guys. The REAL story is that, on April 18, 1981 a woman was running from her abusive husband and came across this bridge with a long winding road that led to nowhere. Then she had got cought by her husband. The man said that if she didnt come back with him then he would kill the baby becuase the mother was worthless and the baby would turn out to me the same way. The women pleeded for her life and he didnt care. This horabule man dangled the baby over the bridge till all the blood flowed to her head and she died. The baby was 4 days old.Her name was Elizabeth McNight. The man had ran with the women and dead baby down this winding road and weeks later was found in the corn fields. The man had died of starvation, beucase it is told that you go far enough into the road you wont be able to turn back and find your way out. So when the police had heared from the family that there daughter and granduaghter was missing then the police went for a search..of course was never found. Now everything thing els that you have heared are just storys from other places, so they can get attention. There are like tons of bridges in Sidney…which one of these is supposedly the “cry baby bridge”? I am from Lima (yes, we have a cry baby bridge there, too) and have only been in Sidney for about 6 years. I’ll give the bridge a try if someone could please tell me which one it is?!
