Real Haunted House

Crybaby Bridge

Doylestown, Ohio

This area was once the hiding place of choice for many outlaws. Many years ago, a woman threw her small child off this bridge. Supposedly, the baby’s cry may still be heard at night.

back in the real days of the miners..they would use the hill to get home going into Warwick..as always doylestown was known for the many bars it had..also on payday the miners in their wagons and riding their mule or horses would be drunk as a skunk..the bandits so to speak ..always knew payday..and would rob these guys..of course many stories grew..as a kid in the 60’s who grew up riding horses with a group of about 15 ..would have the time of our life setting people up to scare the heck out of them..we would tie our ponies up get under the bridge now closed off..called cry baby bridge and wait for our friends to bring girls and guys and tell them to sit still in the parked car..and no one say any thing..needless to say we were the ghost..I have many more stories..it was the best time..it was before the historical society took over and we found a lot of caves too..well any one interested in any more Ive got tons more stories..hang man..scab man..ghost train..and some facts that are true..have a good one..sorry the younger people cant enjoy the fun we had..

Well I go to Norwayne High School and me and my friends are looking for something to do this Halloween. Is it really worth going there? I am in this news class at our school where we make videos and my friends and I want to go and film like a Ghost Hunters type deal. Just want to know if its worth it, or if it is easy to get to. (as far as walking around without passing cars every second) And what about the GHOST town or whatever. Easily accessible?

been to this place, first time, my friends car overheated, over by the ck off of rt 21 before the county line, it was 3 in the morning, and we live about 2 hours away, so we just left…the 2nd time we went, yea, as far as first person by Jeremy McCracken post…no the road is not blocked off, you can drive thru although it seems someone lives there….the cry baby bridge, and gang bridge is bullshit, it was extrememly foggy in places, and there is some very messed up stuff with what happened that night, anyone interested in directions or what happened let me know ruffryders12347@aol.com – aim – thuggin365247

How many Crybaby Bridges do I have to read about in one state, geez! Not just that but how many are there in America! Give it a rest with Crybaby Bridges and stories about them! Maybe the story is an urban legend based on how many places the bridge is located? Oh well, it may just be that a lot of bridges got named the same and have sad, creepy stories attached to them, who knows.

Well, first of all I don’t give a **** how many crybaby bridges are out there! Second of all , all you people out there who are doubting the legend are just cut throat critics, who doesn’t know what you’re talking about. Until you have actually been there and witnessed it for youself, what gives you the right to talk about us like we’re the crazy one’s? I for one have witnessed this and I know it is true, so back off!

I often wondered as many stories as i’ve heard of crybaby bridge. Might this be real ? i have been to cry baby bridges 100’s of time . my friends and i would park near the tracks after having been to the bridge . i have never witnessed any of what alot of these people say . i was always curious my friends as well … we decided we would camp out there . the next morning of course we had a rude awakening but only to an officer saying that it was a high arson area and we were not permitted to be camping there .. now i have been chased by kids who thought they were cute and i have found a dog down there … but i have never heard a baby cry nor my car stop working nor handprints on it . i dont know what kind of a joke some ppl make this but i would have to say its not cute . now i have been there all hours even 12 on the dot but once again never heard nething . i truly believe its a myth and the things seen and heard are a figmentation of imagination .

if you go down Galehouse Road past crybaby’s bridge, you will come across the “devils triangle”. a couple of years ago, me and some friends went down there. Supposedly your supposed to go around the triangle 7 times in you car and see the devil. Also keep in mind, there is a road leading off to the supposed haunted tracks to your left. so we went around the triangle 6 times, and on our seventh time, this train blows its whistle, so we look to the to our left, and we see just the front part of a train. we took our cars and drove over to the tracks, but when we got there there was no train in sight. very freaky stuff.

A correction to what I said before, as hektik pointed out, the road is open now at the Rogue Hollow Rd. end; some internet sources say it’s closed in the winter, but I’ve never checked. It’s very steep, so be careful navigating it.
