Real Haunted House

Cunard Mansion

Staten Island, New York

This mansion was built by the founder of the Cunard Lines as a wedding present for his daughter. In the late nineteenth century, someone committed suicide in the house. Since that time, there have been reports of a mans face peering out of a top floor window on moonlit nights. In the basement, there appear to be several cold spots and even glowing ectoplasm in the ground level windows. It is also said that if one is alone in the building, they may hear a woman calling their name from an upstairs room.

The Cunard mansion is now part of the Wagner College campus located at 1 Campus Road (or Howard Avenue). The building is called Cunard Hall and as an alumn of Wagner, I took many classes in this building, but never noticed anything odd. I never heard rumors of anyone else experiencing unusual activity either. Regardless, if you want to see for yourself, park your car in West Lot on Howard Avenue and cross the street to enter the campus. You’ll walk around a large circular patch of grass (the “Oval”) and head left around a corner and down some stairs. Youll be facing the Student Union building. Make a right and walk straight ahead. When the path splits, go towards the right fork. You’ll pass a white building on your left, and ahead on the right will be Cunard Hall.

I am currently a student at Wagner College. I live in “A” tower, I’ve visited the old monastary that was also haunted. Cunard however never seamed scary to me. I have had many classes there and I regastar for classes there as well. However the “A” tower of the building Towers is said to be haunted. I haven’t experenced anything until last night. Last night my TV turned on out of no where and all my lights shut off. 3 seconds after this happened i heard wispering however I could not make out what the wispering was. i went to hit my light on from my bed and it all stopped. I have never been so scared in my life, something is deffently wrong and scary at Wagner College.

“Some” of you Americans don’t have any respect for the dead. You believe in ghosts yet you ridicule and mock them at the same time, in a sadistic way. If you believe that ghosts do exist, then take a load of this, “They know what you’re thinking and saying about them and they can still haunt the **** out of you, anywhere, anytime.”

Where is this place I’ve never heard of it! I’ve heard of the monastary on Wagner’s property which I believe has since been torn down unfortunately…but where is this mansion? And is it really used as a Hall now?

if its fake then I was taken to a fake place and they were playing tricks on us and this was when I was a kid in the 70’s. At times I think people go “it cant be since its Staten Island” if you did not know it back then you dont know staten island which used to be such a great place to live and was so clean and pretty. But this is real and the face is not the moon its been seen during the day and the cold breeze on a 90+degree day and the person that first felt the cold was my mom and she would not lie or say it to spook us, so give it up those that dont think its real it is. And a house having a spirit in it has nothing to do with Jesus, you can see or feel a spirit and still know and have Jesus in your life, gosh how crazy can people get over religion.

Even though I live outside the Continental U.S., there is one case of a haunting here… It’s a huge house. Some of my friends report seeing ghosts and stuff… I’ve seen it on the web, it looks kinda creepy.
