Daniel Burgess House

07.23.2005 | 9:06 pm | Massachusetts, Plymouth, United States

This house, which sits across from a cemetery, is said to be located on the site of the first Massachusetts hanging. There have been various reports of a child wailing and singing erratically and without melody in the attic. Keys and wallets often turn up missing never to be found again. Throughout the house, there are said to be many hot spots in which the temperature is several degrees above normal.

  1. Sounds to me like this “ghost” is a cleptomaniac. Bring your wallet and keys so the ghost can take your car for a test drive and steal your credit cards!

  2. just wanted to let you know there are plenty of hauntings on the southshore(south of Boston) there is a place called the Bridgewater Triangle, i believe it borders abington, bridgewater, whitman, strange sightings, there is aplace in Bridgewater that is a swampy area that supposed indians of the past show up at night, strange creatures are seen, dissappearances, it’s creepy as hell, animals won’t go near there and people have been known to disappear, if your feeling brave give it a try

  11. I’m from plymouth and used to do the lantern tours. Which house is this? Can you tell me the road it is on or which cemetary it is closest too? Is it the big one next to burial hill? There are a few cemetery’s in Plymouth.

  12. I went around the Bridgewater triangle, also known as the Hokomock triangle. I never saw anything weird. there is a cemetery in Bridgewater on 28, near Brockton, across from Dutchland Drivethru, that is said to sometimes have a light shining from a certain part of the graveyard. I always go by it, hoping to see it…but I never have =(
