Real Haunted House

Devils Tramping Ground

Siler City, North Carolina

In these woods, there is a perfect circle in which no grass grows. Many have placed large stones inside the circle, only to find them gone the next day. It is said that at night the devil walks around the circle and thus moves everything outside the circle. In one report, a scout set up a tent in the middle of the circle and the next morning found the tent outside of it.

Look, I’ve been out there, this was a couple years ago. There is most definately something out there. Now, first, let me say that this does sound an awful lot like the Blair Witch Project, but this was right before that even came out.
We went out there with four people (that includes me). We put a tarp down because it had been raining and put our tent with one corner outside of the circle and the rest inside. The ground out there is so incredibly hard you have to use a hammer to get the stakes in the ground (and these were the thin metal stakes, not the thick plastic ones). I was freaked out from the time we got there.
We were all at that point of being 2 minutes from passing out, when I was staring at the ceiling of the tent and saw a hand-just the finger-tips, not the palm, press down on the top of the tent. At this I woke my boyfriend up and told him to watch. He obviously thought I was nuts, until we saw 2 press down and scratch around the top of the tent, making that “zip” sound, then the sides of the tent started to shake violently. We all of a sudden heard a car, and it stopped. Dave jumped up and looked outside, but there was nothing, no sound, no one.
The car happened to be some kids from ECU just coming out there to check it out. When we got out, our tenthad been slid about 3 feet off the tarp, the rainguard had been ripped and spun around, and the stakes (metal) were bent and ripped out of the ground. The tarp was still in the same spot, but we had slid, and no one had felt it. We packed up our stuff and left at 5 in the morning.
Well, thats my experience, believe it or not…

I don’t think any of this is true. People just make the stories for fun. If you Don’t Believe me let’s ALL meet there and just see for ourselves.

Tara You and your friends were just experiencing mind games or most likly someone was playing somes jokes that obviously worked. The people who got out of the car could have been the one’s playing the joke!!!

Chris,
I didn’t ask you to believe a bit of it, and unless someone was being suspended from a tree, there was no one around the tent. The top was the only thing we couldn’t see out of. I just posted my experience there, and I’m really not losing any sleep if you don’t believe it.

Tara
I don’t know who you are and really don’t care. But, you probally aren’t right in the head. Like I said before, All this is most likely mind games or pranks. And the worst thing is you are dumb enough to fall for it. Or you just posted the story for attention.

One more thing, Like I said I don’t believe this **** and if you do you should get medical help. Since I don’t believe and you actually think there is paranormal activity out there, Why don’t we meet up there and I can prove that it was all in your head.!!!!!!

I went out there last night with a friend. There was a car out there but we didnt’ see anyone else– that scared me more than anything else– I was afraid that we were going to get ambushed by pseudo-satanists or something. We didn’t stay but a minute, and the only freaky thing we saw was a dead deer at the foot of the path– it looked like someone had cut its brain out. Clean cuts along its head. I think we are going to go back again but try to arrive before it gets dark.

Emily
I have to admit that the cuts from the deer was probally from the people who was in the car. now I can say that I finally got tara to shut up. But, Emily I hope you don’t belive this ****. If you go back its just going to be a waste of time.

Don’t waste you’re time. This is just a made up story.
If you go your like everyone else, you have nothing better to do then waste your time.

I spent the night there last night with a few friends, absolutely nothing happened, except for a few good ol’ boys on atvs coming by to warm up by our fire. The only reason why it was hard to sleep is because we all slept on the ground without tents and there is broken glass everywhere

This story reminds me of Wooden Lucy. One look from that woman and it meant your death. Not because she was ugly, actually she was very pretty. But because she was cursed.

The devil’s tramping ground is a salt lick, folks. That’s it. Sorry to disappoint.

You know what’s really creepy? The fact that everyone gets so fired up over these things. Sheesh, you’d think someone’s mother’s honor was at stake or something. And if I read one more response that says “I’m a sensitive” or “I’m an expert in the paranormal” I swear I’m going to kill myself just so I can come haunt your @$$. The only thing you’re sensitive to is when it’s time to change your diaper. Seriously…go play in traffic or something, ya bunch of friggin’ morons.
