Me and a few friends of mine went here a long time ago and went all over the woods looking for this circle. We pulled off the road into the gravel and went down the little beaten path that crosses the creek but on the other side was a large overgrown opening in the woods with left overs from a campfire in the middle. I'm not sure if this was the tramping ground or not but it wasnt a cleared circle where nothing grows. We searched throught the woods with flashlights for most of the night and finally decided to go back to the gas station up the road and hang out till sun up to try and find it in the daylight. I think we crossed a few property lines to and we stirred up a bunch of hound dogs but we never found what everyone describes. Maybe it doesnt exixst anymore or maybe I had my expectations set to high I dont know but if anyone knows where I went wrong then please help steer me right.

It has been over 20 years since I visited this area. I was with my best friend and one of my younger sister's. We stopped and asked for direction's since we couldn't find ANY street sign's to locate it. We followed a young man in his car and had to park on the side of the road and walk down a path through the wood's to get there. A perfect circle without grass was there but in the center there were piece's of burned wood and log's from a bon fire. The devil must feel "at home" with the heat and flame's from the bon fire's since he didn't bother moving it out of "his" circle.

I have a similar place in my back yard where nothing will grow. When we were building our house, a huge whirlwind came up the street and passed between our house and the one being built next to us. The whirlwind got in a small fire that the workers were using to burn scrap wood. When it sucked the fire up into the vortex, it looked awesome! Sparks and smoke were circling around in it and made it look surreal. It then went into my soon to be back yard and stopped right at the peak of the hill. It spun in this one place for a good 5 minutes before it suddenly collapsed. This was 13 years ago and to this day, no grass or anything else will grow there. I don't know if it was already a barron spot before the whirlwind since i never went back there before this happened. Now, I can walk into the circle with dowsing rods and they will cross directly in the middle of it, pointing East/West. After researching other things similar to this, I have found that these places are where "Ley" or energy lines cross beneath the earth's surface. That's why animals are reluctant to go into them. They emit a very strong energy field that most animals are afraid of, except cats. They are attracted to them. I also have found where it is now believed that stone-age Europeans came to North America during the ice age by traveling across the frozen north Atlantic, which used to freeze solid all the way down below New York, and also used these energy centers to build monuments similar to Stonehenge and New Grange. Artifacts have been dug up at these sites, that are scattered along the eastern seaboard, and date to over 16,000 years ago. These monuments all point to the solar solstices and the equinoxes, just like the Euro-monunents do. The native Americans also new of them and their Shaman's used them as energy points to help contact the spirits of these ancient ones that came before them.

I have no beleif in such things as devils and hell. No one did until Dante's book, The Divine Comedy, was written and he described, from his imagination, the different layers of hell. The story of Lucifer is just that, a story, written to try and keep people under control using fear and scare tactics, as it is still done today. Why would God make man, his most precious creation, and then sick a rabid animal such as satan upon him? Does that make any sense? Would you put your children in a room full of hungry wolves and tell them to stand still forever and the wolves wont eat you? So when you go to the circle, stand in it and know that many before you have stood in it also, gathering the sacred energy from the earth. There's nothing evil there, just idiotic people who have been led to believe everything they can't explain is of the "devil." What a crock of pooh!

So far my husband and I have only been out there twice, matter of fact, we went today. My husband gathered limbs and tied them in the shape of a cross. We threw a bunch of stuff into the circle, however, you can tell lots of people party out there because there was tons of beer cans, paper plates, and etc. I am not much of a believer in paranormal activity because of my religious beliefs. There IS a heaven and hell. God and the devil DO exist. I am actually from the surrounding area and never heard of this until I read about it in a book and my husband is really into UFO's and paranormal. I have to see things like this to believe it.
When we went out there, we took our dog and she constantly barked when we came upon this so called "circle". Also, there was this putrid smell that burned your nostrils, bones everywhere at the beginning of the path that led to the circle. Bones of a dog and the horrible smell that we smelled was that I came across a dead animal on our way out. We don't know what kind of animal it was, but it hadn't been dead but maybe for a couple days. We think it was a cow because that is pretty much all is around there. We realized that maybe our dog knew something was wrong because animals can sense these kind of things. We took pictures, but the strange thing was that my husband took his pictures outside of the circle and nothing really showed up in them, however, I took a couple pictures outside of the circle except one. The one that I took inside the circle had this orange-reddish light going across the screen. I find this very strange. We are going back sometime tomorrow to see if any of the stuff has been moved from the circle, who knows what we will find?? I should've brought a bible and turned it to Revelations, so that if this IS the devil, he will see his destiny. lol. I'll send an update soon. If you would like to see our pics email angelsweetz2007@aim.com

I have never personally been here but one of my friends has. He and his friend set up camp there one night and brought and axe and a crowbar with them (just in case (haha)) He hit the axe into the ground so it would stay there and pushed the crowbar very far into the ground. They went into their tent and a while later heard a "thump" noise. He came outside of his tent and found his axe fallen over. He wasn't worried because he knew he hadn't put it in too deep. He went back into his tent and a while later he heard yet another "thump" noise and discovered that the crowbar that he put over 6 inches into the ground had not only came out pf the ground, but flew over 4 feet away from it's original place. He and his friend immediately packed up and left.
