Sorry I thought I dropped the link above in my previous post, about the Eastland, pics and Harpo Studios. I do plan on investigating the stories behind the Excalibur in the future.

The Eastland was a very said tragedy. Here is a story about the Eastland and the Harpo Studios. Bodies were taken there as well as to what is now the Excalibur. You can also see photos of the Eastland in the article too. It was often called “Chicago’s Titanic”

My class and I went to Excalibur for a luncheon and almost at the end of the party I felt a strange presence and everyone was looking around anxiously. I began walking around with my arms outstretched trying to locate the cold spot which was following my friend who has supernatural powers (or as she says). She began to feel dizzy and I felt a closing in on my chest. Then we had to leave, so we were all happy to leave Excalibur.

I love Excalibur and never noticed any “ghostly” appearances or haunts there. It is quite a fabulous club on the 2nd level I lose myself in the music.. CRAZY WILD!!! LOVVVVVVVVEEEEEE EXACALIBUR !!! XOXOXO

I know there have been many speculations about Excalibur being haunted, as a former Chicago Resident and a “Sensitive” to paranormal prescense, I would have to believe in these speculations. I visited Excalibur on four occasions. The First occasion, in 2000, I was in the balcony area with a group of friends and I lokked across from our group toward the balcony on the other side and I seen a young gentleman standing there, still, he was in “old” attire and looked at me with a blank expression. I remember thinking, No one dresses like that anymore and when I looked again he was gone. Again in 2002 I was on the main floor with my boyfriend, along the dance floor, and I looked up toward the balcony where I had seen the man previously and to my surprise he was their, still standing, blank look, this time he put a pocket watch into his pocket and then vanished. I think when people do go to this club they are there to “party it Up” They do not have their guards down and are not in the mind set to allow the apparitions to be seen.
