I visited Excalibur on four occasions. The First occasion, in 2000, I was in the balcony area with a group of friends and I lokked across from our group toward the balcony on the other side and I seen a young gentleman standing there, still, he was in "old" attire and looked at me with a blank expression. I remember thinking, No one dresses like that anymore and when I looked again he was gone. Again in 2002 I was on the main floor with my boyfriend, along the dance floor, and I looked up toward the balcony where I had seen the man previously and to my surprise he was their, still standing, blank look, this time he put a pocket watch into his pocket and then vanished. I think when people do go to this club they are there to "party it Up" They do not have their guards down and are not in the mind set to allow the apparitions to be seen. The only thing that creeps me out is the LOOONG narrow staircase to the bathrooms the cold, musty ,dark basement (all of which can be fixed) and the one to the basthroom on the dark 3Rd floor, it's just has a creepy layout and I think they keep those areas dark on purpose to keep this story circulating, The place is old and musty and needs to be totally remodeled. The carpeted area smell. I’m born and raised in Chicago and have been to the Excaliber many times. I just stayed there over the past weekend with my stepmom and it was a pretty wierd place. Nothing really exciting happened. It was really old looking and during the night the elevators were going nonstop, seriously. Those elevators creeped me out and I didn't even see any other visitors in the whole building the whole weekend, so I couldn't see why they would be going so much. Also I had to go up to our room on the 9th floor to get the baby's carseat by myself and when I was trying to come back down the elevator doors wouldn't open and the whole time I had a very uneasy feeling.
