I have been to this island as well. I knew that this place was haunted and I actually did see the lady in black in the corridor of dungeaons! I have never been so scared. I was walking around saying what kind of a person kills her own husband and I swear she came after me.

u thinks thats scary fort taber is haunted cuz me and my friends r ghost hunters and when we went there we found like six orbs floating down!!!!

ok i’ve been to this island but not at night so have no varification i went there when i was 8 and im 13 now so the only thing i no is that the lady isn’t dressed like a man she is dressed in black but i want to no more

i live in boston i got to the island alot in the summer… but i never go in the fort. an for the people saying they didnt know the fort was haunted..they should take the tour. the tour guide tells the story of the island an takes u to the spot where the lady in black was hung. an the rope is still hanging there.

I grew up in East Boston, and have been out to Georges Island many times. I never saw nothing. However you can camp on nearby Lovells Island which is only a stone throw away from Georges, and if you had a Kayak or inflatable raft you could paddle across at night when the rangers are gone…..Also for a full and best account of the story look up Edward Roe Snow.

I went to Georges Island not knowing anything about the “lady in black”. When we arrived there I was with my mom and cousins I looked up and there are the forts and on the roofs of them are grassy little hills. I saw a women looking like she was from some other time in a black dress on the top of the fort. She had a creepy stare and was looking down at us. I pointed up to show my mom and ask her what that lady was doing up there. My mom was totally freaked out and when we went to show my cousins she was gone. Very creepy

the island mentioned is so creepy I been there for a friend camping trip and family camping trip my friends thought that i was crazy ecept cheyenne she ran with me we saw a misty figure in the shadows walking on the sand waiting for something or someone then a boat appeared out of the mist then vanished so did the woman

i knew it was haunted and no one believed me! i have visited george’s island countless times and when i was younger, my brothers, some of their friends and i have gone in the forts and despite my wishes would go into the off limits areas. i had always had a gut feeling about the island and always felt as if someone was watching me. we entered what appeared to be a kitchen. the boys told me to stop screaming, but i wasn’t. i told them i wasn’t screaming and out of the corner of my eye i saw her. i never ever want to go back inside. i stick to the beach

I went there about 4 years ago with my girlfriend at the time we walked through one of the rooms neer the gunpowder shack, there was a lasts voice comming from the hall I followed it to nothing. Later on we found a little spot to crawl through I heard a noise that made my bone ache, it was some sort of screaming I took off. This was all before I found out it was haunted. A couple years later me and a buddy of mine went there to do some burnin and we scoured exert inch of that place even sitting in the dark rooms with the shackles we spent the whole day looking and found nothing. I think when your not searching you’ll find things, or maybe because I was with my girl and it sparked some sort of energy
