Friendly Haunt
This house is haunted by an older, grizzly looking gentleman. However, the apparition is not a mean one; he protects residents of the house and even saved one woman from an abusive boyfriend. The man checks in on the bedrooms of the residents at night before returning to his own room — the back bathroom.

Hey where is this house in Albany? I lived there until I was 23 and lived in a house that was haunted but by an older woman. Her name was Bertha and she use to do all sorts of things to us when I lived there. She would turn the bathroom water on in the middle of the night, make chairs move around and open doors. Just all sorts of stuff. Never hurt us.
But I’m just wondering where this one you are talking about is? Ours was on the North side of Albany toward Leesburg.

I bet the House was remodeled at some point. I also bet the back bathroom was the former master bedroom.

Well I think this dude is pretty nice and I would feel very, very safe in that house and so what if he stay in the bathroom, he is still a caring person.

“Please use correct grammar, capitalization, and punctuation. Let’s try to keep this place looking classy. Real Haunts reserves the right to remove any comment that does not adhere to this requirement or is otherwise inappropriate.”
Based on the above statement, over half of the submissions here should be removed. This is a great message to young adults: STAY IN SCHOOL or you’ll become an illiterate idiot like these folks, and that’s scarier than any make-believe ghost story.

When I was 5 or 6, we lived in a two story house on Clifton Road in Atlanta. The upstairs remained vacant and I would play up there. One day while playing alone up there, two figures came out of the fireplace and tried to grab me, telling me to come inside with them. I ran and got away. Needless to say, I never, ever, forgot and never went up there again. I grew up to become a police officer in that city. One day, I shared the story with the inhabitants. It wasn’t a good idea!

This house sounds very interesting. I live near historic Marietta,Georgia and the Kennesaw National Battlefield. I was wondering if any of you paranormal investigators have been there? Have you uncovered any paranormal activity there? There also is a huge cemetary for the civil war dead there as well. Next to it, a large cemetary. It covers several acres. A local t.v. station did a story on paranormal of this cemetary not long ago. If you haven’t, have you thought of going there?

I posted this story originally. I believe that the ghost was actually that of my grandfather. I am the one who was protected from a boyfriend. Also, he didn’t live in the bathroom (my post was reworded). What I stated was that sometimes when everyone was in the living room you could hear him walk down the hall and close the door to the back bathroom.
Also, no, I will not be revealing this location other than the fact that it is in east Albany and not up by Leesburg. Closer to Sylvester than Leesburg. This is a private residence, not a hotel. My family no longer owns this house so I do not know if the people who live there would appreciate random people knocking on their door asking about the ghost.

We live in Albany Georgia, and I have never heard of that Friendly Ghost, but I sure would like to know where the house is. We did however live in a house over on first Avenue that I swear is haunted. We lived there for several months and the kids and I finally moved out. My husband stayed there until the lease was up and he did not feel the feelings I and the children felt. It was sort of a feeling like you were being watched from behind. One night, my daughter got up in the middle of the night and thought my husband was in the kitchen and so she said “Daddy is that you?” and it went poof, vanished. My son, who was two at the time kept crying and saying “the man, the man!” and would not want to sleep in his room which used to be a porch.
My son says, “I don’t remember living there because I was so little, but I believe my mother’s stories. I do wonder if I might be a medium of sorts though, because If I did not feel the man there, then why would I not sleep in my room and why was I crying and saying “the man”?”

What a kick *** ghost! I always am hearing about ghosts that don’t do anything but walk around or are poltergeists but this ghost has helped people, this is probably the only haunted place I would visit because all the others are freaky.
