I just moved to Alexandria and have had some very strange things happen in my apartment. The night before my fiancee left to go back to Chicago, at about 4:30am the stereo in my living room came on by itself for about 20 seconds and then turned off. It woke both of us up. Tonight, out of the blue, one of my trophies fell over of its own accord. It’s admittedly freaking me a bit. Does anyone know any history on the Foxchase area???

not to long ago in oakland maryland a women died in her home,the last words out of her mouth were that her husband was coming for her and the ligt went out,(my uncle was actually there)so he left but he had left something at the house he had to go back,the light in the room was on he shook it off and tried to turn it of but it wouldnt go out,he tried he even tried to take the light out,then he heard a noise and saw a bright white light he ran down the steps but while he was going down he felt her hand on his back and heard her whisper “you can go,my husband is here”.he went outside and looked up into the bedroom…the light was off

I was here because i went on a class trip to DC and we went here and ate then when i was done eating i wanted to go up to the hotel part of the tavern where she died with one of my friends but they said we couldnt so i took a couple steps up to the hotel part and looked up as far as i could see and i got chills down my back and it looked very old.

This story is true. I am a native of Alexandria and this has been told for many years here exactly the way Simon Johnstone has explained it. There has also been tales of hauntings near Minnie Howard school behind Bradlee Center and the woods on the back side of St. Stephens/St. Agnes on St Stephens road.

SO FAKE WHEN I WAS TEN I WENT THERE WITH GIRL SCOUTS A BUNCH OF FRIENDS AND I SLEPT (STAYED UP ALL NIGHT)IN THAT VERY ROOM I BROUGHT AN EVP (electronic voice phenomionom) i did an evp session i didnt catch anything
or see any thing but 2 years after that my friend got survierly sick and died but the doctors didnt know what she died from though

The forest behind my house is ScArEy! I was walking with my friends on halloween night around 9:55pm and we stopped on a bridge, i turned and in a frightful panic told evrybody to get the heck out of the forest! Behind one of my friends was a scarey looking man with yellow burning eyes that peered with anger strait at us (this is a true story!) As we got out of the forest’s ditch and up into the court the man started walking towords us but as a group of kids showed up walking down towords the forest’s path back deep into the froest the mand dissapered into the dark. It was scarey the most because the next day we heard on the news that the group of kids that went down to the forest’s path had gotten killed from fright of seeing a ghost!
