Real Haunted House

Gap Road

Bartlesville, Oklahoma

During the Tulsa Race Riots, many African Americans were hanged here. It is said that if one takes his car to this road and put its in neutral, it will climb the hill. It is said that the people hanged during the riots are the force pushing the car.

FYI,
The “Gap” wasn’t where blacks from the race riots were hanged, it was where 4 escaped slaves back in the day were hanged. I have an article that tells of it. They were caught near Jesse Thompsons’ farm. He was a judge, but also family and it has been passed down that he was part of the underground railroad. That was why the slaves were near circle mountain trying to get to Jesse Thompsons’ place. Originally called “N…… Gap”, after the men who were hung. I’ve heard that you can sometimes hear sounds of the horses after them clopping down the road in chase. Lots of bad things have happened near there. My g-great uncle was murdered there when he was car-jacked back in the 40′s.

gravity hill is just an illusion.
people say it’s up hill but really it is downhill.
it’s still pretty cool and it always works for me.

you get there by going out to the american christian school on 75, then turn right if you’re going towards tulsa and keep it straight all the way down that road.
be careful on the railroad tracks.. you will most likely bottom out your car..
and be sure to stay straight on the road, don’t take the curvy roads or anything.. once you go past the railroad tracks there is a split in the road and the right split is Gap road.
but just stay straight and there will be a gravel turn around and just turn around there and drive back a little ways the way you came and put your car in neutral.

also, the labadie house, it’s not smart to go out there.
people do still live there.. and they don’t like people on their property.. they let you know it too..
hah.
yeh, enjoy.

If you don’t know where to start, nothing will happen. Gap road is the site of many hangings during the Tulsa race riots, you can research that and find that it’s a fact. The heal is actually around the corner from the turn onto gap road and is built over an old osage indian burial ground. There is a chief mound not more than 150 feet off the side of the road, been there seen it. Gap road has a lot also, including the bleeding tree. Research shows that more than a thousand african americans, as well as indians, were hung on this road and thus the spritual activity. It is called gravity hill by the way, and has been for a long time. So non-believers keep on making your comments, they amuse me. I’ve been there, seen the effects of the place, and done the research. It’s the real deal.

The orb is the energy being transferred from a source (i.e. powerlines, heat energy, batteries, people, etc) to the spirit so they can manifest. This may not even be a conscious thing the spirit is doing, just a natural way they get their energy. This would explain why the orbs are round balls.

we went to gravity hill on several occasions. One story is if you put the car in neutral on the tracks, ghosts of little kids will push you off. we did this and put baby powder on our bumper. we were pushed off. when we got out and looked, there were hand prints in the powder. NO LIE ! another time we went… we had 2 cars going. as we were being “pushed” up the hill, a black figure standing on 2 legs ran across the road.the first car stopped and started asking it what it was. it looked like it looked at us with glowing red eyes then just disappeared into nowhere. then as we were leaving, rite after we seen the red eyed thing, there was a 3rd car that appeared behind us. it followed rite on our tails, all of a sudden my aunt said “what is that car doing?” the car had turned its brites on. as we started to slow down the car DISAPPEARED. there was nowhere for it to turn no driveway, no other road… nothing. we stopped and got out and there was noone or thing out there.

julie didn’t even capitalized Black which is supposed to be capitalized so of course she doesnt know Tulsa well,Oklahoma was ALL BLACK at one time. ALL of it was BLACKS and Indians Look It UP! The Whites stole our land here!

Tomeka says:

This has nothing to do with ghosts or roads or hills…I’m tired of White people THAT SAY they are not prejudiced but say Black when describing a person… ya’ll don’t do that when you describe a White person. One time a lady was telling a story in Public and loudly mentioned “The big Black guy” but mentioned no one elses race. Race wasn’t even a point in her story…it had nothing to do with it! just wondering why people do that of ALL races? Non-prejudice people say PEOPLE or A Man not “That Black Man or that White man! Please stop this! it doesn’t make since in 2010!
There aren’t that many full blooded Whites anymore!

DID ANY OF YOU LEARN THAT RACES ARE CAPITALIZED IN ENGLISH CLASS? A LOT OF YA’LL ARE VERY IGNORANT NOW LOOK THAT UP IN THE DICTIONARY!

Tomeka says:

January 13, 2010, 2:46 pm

Thanks Kelly but you did not capitalize Blacks either and Ive never met a person the color of black or the color of white.Never!

Just because I know some one will land flatfooted on my comments about race. When I speak of being Indian I say “I’m part American/Indian.” So yes, when I refer to myself and my own race, I’m using the same illustrative measures. I’m not a hater of people or religions. Just a clarifacaion of the facts. Jump on another bandwagon.ca

I live in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and i have been out to gap road several times. the only reason peoples cars move is because the road is slightly slanted downhill. it doesnt look like a downhill slant because if you have your lights off, it makes an optical allusion. so pretty much, gap road is a bunch of bull.
