could someone please tell me if they know anything about an old graveyard on 210? if you turn at Weedmans and get onto 210 it is supposed to be 1 mile west on 210. I am new to the area. I really love old graveyards and old houses. I would really appreciate any information on this subject and this area. thank you.

Where is this old insane asylum? I would really like to check it out.

I went to Ghostlight about 12 years ago with a few friends. We were all teens then and searched for spooky things in our spare time. We did see the lights, which were only the illusion of the cars turning at the County Road 210/Greenbriar Road junction. That was a little frightening at first but after a little investigation we understood what it truly was. When we drove back towards home however we did heard laughing and strange noises coming from the woods. It sounded like an old mans laughter and it came from all directions. We left and I never returned. We were not drunk or or drugs.

holy sh*t i was driving at 5.5 mph and it still worked, but as soon as it hoverd above me i stopped, got out and looked up, it was a fu*king streetlight. i was so freakin spooked, just cuz it was not an ordinary light it had the words………..Jimmy was here on it, that really got me goin and so i drove off at 6mph so i wouldnt see it anymore………………rhen i was driving bak home and i thought i saw bigfoot so i flored it hoping to run him down and kill him. and i smoked his *ss, i got out of the car and it was fu*king russle crow, that *******……………….TRUE STORY

I can confirm this light. As a teen, my friends and I visited this road in Switzerland Florida at least 5 times per year if not more for about 3 years. This was a very interesting pass time. We made trips there in the daytime as well to try and figure out what we were seeing. I am not sure if the light still appears or not. There have been a lot of homes built in the area since then. It has been about 20 years since I have been there.

When we went there in the day time all we could find that may have cause a reflection was either the road sign at the other end or lights from the cars on the curved road at that end. There were no other lights or reflection devices to be found.

The story we were told, was that a young man riding a motor cycle wrecked and lost his head. He was riding up and down the road looking for his head.

I would be interested in finding out the cause of this light.

I jsut found out about this so called gohst road and asylum last night at my work. It immidiately cought my attention after hour and hours of getting information about it out of my friend. I have driven down 210 in jax thousends of times and hever never once heard of this thing untill now. Later today me and my best friend are going searching for this “ghost road” and “asylum”. Ill comment with details afterwards. And yes im bringing a digital camera and throwaway just in case.

I have been to ghost light road, a few years ago and it is real we spent about 4 hrs. out there investigating the road and we would actually go all the way to one end of the road chasing the light when it would appear. As we would make it to the end of the road the light would dissappear in front of us, and a few seconds later it would reappear behind us at the other end of the road, and looks like it is coming right at you, there is only one light not two like head lights so I know it is not a car.We were in a 93′ ford explorer sport there was about 8 people there we all saw the same thing. At one point we got out of the car and walked from about halfway down the road to the end and then back, as we walked the light appear ahead of us it would seem to come right at us then dissappear and pop up behind us like normal, as we walked back to the car the light actually popped up at both ends of the road at the same time, and the weirdest thing about it is it doesn’t actually look like a regular light it looks more like an orb but it gets really bright and the light seems to suround you, that is it doesn’t cast a shadow. Now as for if it is real or not I guess we’ll never know if what they say was real and they don’t have sightings anymore but as for me I beleive we stayed out there for like i said for 4 hrs. easy until we got ran off by the police. Who already new why we were there.Also I heard that the insane asylum that everyone is searching for is the real reason the road is haunted because it burned down w/everyone in it. I doubt this is true but maybe that is why noone knows where it is.

I HEARD IT WAS A MOTORCYCLE THAT WAS GOING DOWN THE ROAD AND A CAR WITH NO LIGHTS ON HIT HIM. SO THE MOTORCYCLE IS OUT THERE WARNING PEOPLE TO CUT THEIR LIGHTS ON.. Ok, to clear up all the stories….I am from Jax. The light that you see is NOT a haunting. Its coming from the highway. This is a story that has been going around for years. Yes, there is a “mental” hospital down one of the dirt roads. Nothing spooky about it. This was a place teenagers hung out to freak each other out. I should know, I was one of them.

I heard this story before but i heard it was on Greenbriar Road!

yea buddy if it was the highway then why does the light get about 2 feet away from your car before it disappears…and then there is no highway for a couple miles. think about it
