Ghost Light Road
A man was once driving down this road when he crashed and was subsequently decapitated. If one drives on this road at about five miles an hour, a white light will approach the car and then hover above it.

Any1 who reads this is cursed, unless u write more comments. Strange things will happen 2 u such as ur hair falling out(unless u don’t have hair already), bumps & bruises come up everywhere 4 no reason, ur teeth rot & fall out within a few days, & every1 turns their backs on u. this curse is everlasting. In other words, it never wears off. When u die, ur spirit will turn into a ghost & u will haunt every1 u have ever known. I’m sending this comment 2 let u know what happened 2 me.
P.S. This curse is not real, but u do need 2 make more comments. What can I say, i’m just a 13 year old with a boring life. I needed some excitement! I’ve left a lot of comments in a lot of different states. If u read this, try to find 1 of the states I wrote a comment on, if u find 1 I left interesting, comment back, I’ll end up reading it.

Back in the early 90’s my friends and I would go there at night and hide off the side of the road. When a car would come we would go out in the road then turn a flash light on and scare other teens driving on the road. As the cars got closer we turned off the flash light and ran off the road so when they got to where we were there would be nothing there. This really freaked out some people (mostly girls). One time after we had shined a light at someone and we hid when they got close they started shooting a gun into the woods. I never ran so fast in my life.

Hey y’all, I be walkin’ down the road the other day and I see some guy walkin’ behind me, keep followin’ me, and I be like, “mm mmm, no you just didn’t.” I turn around and say “stoppitt” and y’all know what? He dun disappeared. So, I go back to my favorite restaurant to eat all cannibal-like and i dun saw that man again! I was like “Oh hell no he didn’t.” And I stomped out. But, before I got outta the KFC, my head flew off. The last thing I saw was the man smiling and holding a bloody butcher knife. I be flying ’round every KFC lookin’ for the man who decapitated me and pour my blood through every sink.
HELPFUL TIP: Read this in a country accent.

PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE STORY AS THE TRUTH LIES WITHIN NO BS.
I glanced over some of the “sightings” and some of the comments of non-believers and not sure anything jives with my truths.
HERE IS THE REAL DEAL…..I’m now 35 years old and back in the late 80’s and early 90’s Greenbrier road was a completely different place.
There were no houses, paved roads, nothing but the dark woods and a 5 mile dirt road.
I KNOW WHAT MOST PEOPLE SEE as I’ve been there over 50 times and stayed my hour.
Most people see the light from either intersecting road behind them or in front of them. When a car passes Greenbriar road the headlights of the oncoming car flickers through the trees, gets brighter then dissappears as the car continues down the road(you will notice the headlights are bright white as headlights are expected to be, remember this fact). THAT’S PRETTY OBVIOUS IF YOU’VE BEEN THERE. THERE WAS AN ABANDONED MENTAL HOSPITAL AT THE END OF THE ROAD BACK THEN. It was a one story building and not terribly freaky is you had your wits about you. I also understand that the area was used as an airfield during WWII and there were reported crashes that also lend to the ghost stories. I never did enough research to confirm or deny the motorcycle accident of the existance of an airfield. Back in my day I also ran across hunters in pick up trucks with hunting dogs etc…I never stopped to ask what they were hunting for. I always found it wise not to approach unfamiliar people in the woods with dogs and fireams.
HERE’S THE DEALIO!
I’ll never forget it was the night before Easter 1991 when my best friend and another female friend of ours took our second trip out to GHOSTLIGHT ROAD. We were about a mile in turning off San Jose (or whatever the state road number is)and we were talking and chattering as high school kids would do on a “ghost hunt” when WE ALL SHUT UP AND STARED AT WHAT WAS IN FRONT OF US. Normally I would have thought what I saw was something I could explain or may have mistaken other than the fact it caught ALL OF OUR ATTENTION AT THE SAME TIME. Not 5 feet in front of us and about 5 feet off the ground was an ORANGE COLORED GLOWING BALL.
The only way I could describe it was like a basketball.
I know that’s a sorry description but most TRUE stories aren’t filled with exotic details and larger than life experiences.
TRUE stories are just something you never forget. GETTING BACK TO THE STORY….After witnessing this orange glowing floating light right in front of us, my friend hit the brights on the car in dis-belief. The orange light faded as soon as it appeared. There was nothing around us that could have caused. I even had the guts to get out of the car in utter shock and took a look around. Nothing was there. I was so moved by what I saw I woke my mom up when I got home and told her what I saw (my mom is not much of a believer and doesn’t like to be woke up). My best friend told me the next day that he was so moved and didn’t want to forget the sighting that he went home and wrote it down.
We went back probably another 48 times armed with a video camera hoping to catch something, but never saw it again.
I hope I didn’t bore you and hope you read the entire account because THIS IS TRUE. Good luck in finding your own truth. I’m not sure with all the new developement that it will ever be the same.

I think that’s scary. But it reminds me of a time when I was Halloween trick-or-treating with my sister…and we were driving through a dark part of the road and this white light went through the car and I could see it next to me. It didn’t scare me but me and my mom looked at each other proving we both saw someone spirit that night. I wish I could have taken a picture. :]

Let me first say that I am what I call a skeptical believer. I believe in paranormal but I don’t believe everything unexplained is paranormal. Okay, so back in my high school days, I used to frequent Airport=Greenbriar=Ghostlight Road. This was when the road was all dirt except for the first little paved part right of of 13 and it was mostly a wooded area. I really don’t know how many times we went. It was very often and I can say that i saw the “Ghost Light” every time. I was usually the guy driving the car and usually the guy telling the story. The story would change depending on who was in the car. I have personally told the motorcycle story and the insane asylum story. We would always go late at night.. after midnight at least. There were no street lights there at the time. I have personally pointed at the Middle School (Switzerland Point I think it is) on the small paved section of Greenbriar and called it an insane asylum, and driving by at night in the dark in the woods it just looked like a big spooky compound. Now go to google maps and look up Greenbriar road. It is almost a perfectly straight flat road. To the west is SR13. There is another road that intersects Greenbriar almost in the middle called Roberts Rd and at the east end is 210. We would enter from 13 and drive down to Roberts Rd and stop and wait. Eventually you would see a white or a red light fade in and come toward you or go away from you. This was from passing cars on 210. 210 had a curve the would turn and come right straight at Greenbriar for a little ways and then curve once again right at Greenbriar. A car coming through the woods at and entering that straightaway would appear to “fade in” and come towards you and get brighter and then fade away after the other turn. Likewise a car going in the other direction would be a Red brake light and would travel away from you and fade away in the same fashion. You were also far enough away that the two headlights/tailights gave an appearance or just one light.I have to say it was a really cool effect and quite spooky looking even when you know what it is. On the west side where it connected to 13 was a small section of housing. People would come and go from there and it also gave the appearance of one light but it would not fade in and out as on the other side. The proof of the merger of lights to look like one was because people also lived down Roberts Rd and if you were unlucky enough to have someone drive right past you while you were scaring the car load of people you were with, it would ruin the whole illusion. This is also the reason we went so late at night. Avoid the locals on the road and you didn’t want a lot of traffic on 210. Just a car or 2 every 30 mins or so. Sorry to to tell you this particular story is FAKE.
Now Greenbriar is paved. Lots of the woods are gone. It has streetlights and I think they even re-routed 210. Ghostlight road is no longer anything other than a haunt in the mind of those who experienced it years ago. I, for one, will miss it. It’s kinda sad… But, it is fun to see the stories live on.
