Real Haunted Houses

Real Haunted House

Ghostly Lights

Waxahatchie, Texas

This quaint restaurant, famous for its pickles, is said to be frequented by three separate apparitions. There are two females and one farmer. Workers have reported seeing ghostly lights throughout the building. They have also alleged many of the tools in the kitchen moving and performing by themselves. In the restaurant, there is also a book for guests to record their observations.

Hey, hey. Why so much violence? Yes, Texas is a great state, but every other state is just as good. We just do it bigger down here in the south. The point is, why argue over that when THERE ARE GHOST OUT THERE!!! This is what this site is about. Since i’m on the topic. I live near Galveston and everyone knows that Galveston was hit by the 1900’s Storm that wipe out the whole area. There are ghost everywhere!! One story of such, is when galveston was rebuilding, the medical center, UTMB was trying to build some property where an old man lived. The old man refused to sell his land cause he was so happy there. He enjoyed the ocean view and the sounds of it made him happy. UTMB tricked the man and put him in a retirement home where he died. UTMB built a building where his old house is at. Soon a face apeared on the wall facing the ocean. The people at UTMB tried to sand blast the face but it would move up or down. Finally they gave up but the face is still there and it would move. The first time I seen the face, it was in the middle block. It creeped me out cause you can REALLY see his facial appearance. The next time i seen him was on halloween night and it was on the top block!!! Don’t believe me? Question the truth? Look it up!! It will show you the face!!! Its SOOO CREPPY YA’LL!!!

I am a truck driver and we have a terminal/garage in wax. (waxahatchie) Myself and 2 other drivers went to this restaurant while our trucks were in the shop. I didnt know anything about the “hauntings” when we arrived, my 2 friends went inside to get a table,i was outside finishing a cigarette. After I finished, I went inside and someone or something said, “welcome” I turned and said thank you, expecting to see a hostess…noone was there!!! Also, as we were sitting eating our dinner, one peice of my friends catfish..”walked” off his plate about 3-4 inches onto the table…and all 3 of us saw this!! frigging weird place.

Just for your information, the Catfish Plantation was burnt down in a fire in 2002 or 2003. We were on our way to Dallas, Texas to go to Willie Nelsons 4th of July concert and stopped in to find the Catfish Plantation, but the locales said it had burnt down in a terrible fire the year before.

It had burnt down, but is now reopened. It is about 6 blocks west of the courthouse on Water street. Went yesterday for the first time, at about 2pm. Was standing inside the door with my mother-in-law, about to leave when the door swung open on its own between us, at a fairly fast pace. I tried to recreate this by closing the door and letting it drift open, but even after trying to make it happen several times, I couldn’t even get close to recreating it. It was very strange. Even if you don’t believe in the hauntings part of it, I do highly recommend the food there. Everything was excellent, best catfish I’ve ever eaten.

The Catfish Kitchen burnt down in 2003 or 2004, so if you say you worked there since then or you visited since then you are a liar. If they rebilt it, then the new place is not the original building that was truely haunted. If you do not like Texas or the United States of America, then just leave! We don’t want you here!
