OK.. the Catfish Plantation IS real... It didn't burn down... there is no upstairs anymore. My family and I went there this past spring and my wife did have something weird happen around her. She opened the door to the ladies' room, closed the door and walked to the back of the room, which I'm guessing is about 12' X 12' (based on dimensions of the Men's room). By the time she reached the corner where the commode was located, she turned around and the trash can that had been located near the baby changing table, had been moved partially blocking the door. There was no way she could have closed the door had the trash can been located there. I believe her 100%. She is not a liar and would not benefit anything from making up such a story. Believe this is you want or don't. I don't care. I know it happend.

People who are saying the Catfish Plantation is burnt down and doesn't are idiots. Know you facts before speaking. It didn't even "burn down", there was a fire and they reconstructed the burned areas. I used to live on Water Street a year ago and walked there all of the time. I've never actually experienced anything there other then eery feelings, though. But I feel the whole area is a little eery, not just the plantation.

This is the Catfish Plantation. We had our wedding dinner here in 2003 and have gone there every year for our anniversary (except when it was closed due to the fire). I have never seen anything or had any paranormal experiences. It's not for lack of trying though.

The plantation has not burned down... i've been there last summer... they seem to really bank on haunts though. they have candles, and a tv showing a"ghost hunt" recording on their place outside, and a fake ghost, for decoration. i for one didn't see any ghosts, but maybe that's because i was so focused on the best chicken fried steak i've ever had!!! the menu comes complete with a history of the place.... For more visit Mysterycove.webs.com
