Ginny’s Gin House
This present restaurant, which has been a hotel, a stagecoach shop, and a brothel is said to be plagued by phantoms. There are reports of toilets flushing and faucets running when no one is in the bathroom. The ghosts are said to be both male and female. They also appear to be very domestically oriented as it is said they have turned on the vacuum cleaner and began vacuuming several times. Reportedly, a seance was held and the ghosts said they were only doing these things because they wanted to help run the business that was once theirs. When the seance was broken, it is said a shelf came crashing down.
The place is now called West Side Tavern and it is in Point Pleasant. It still remains a restaurant to this day.

My gym teacher is pre visuional or something and told us that she can see things in past lives. She said she taught the owner and was talking to him and he wanted her to come by the tavern and check it out. She saw a man, little boy, teenage male, and a 20 yr old girl who was in a different room getting raped………..

I wrote a large senior thesis paper on this location, a place that i spent several days at filming and researching. This place is, in my semi-professional opinion, haunted with supernatural activity. If you wanna discuss it more, email me @ iboat3@aol.com. Just reference this in the subject line so i read it

This is a really great site, but I am absolutely appalled by the comments left by other people. Don’t you feel embarresed that you can’t spell? I find it a little scary that someone says they got a 90% on an English project when they can’t even spell the word “really”.

The spelling and grammar in most of these comments is pretty embarrassing. It’s a little hard to beleive that someone would receive a 90% on an English project when she can’t seem to spell the word “really” correctly.

I think you shouldn’t worry about someone’s grammar. She was probably typing fast and didn’t realize she put a w infront of the word really. I do it all the time.
I am a believer, however, I think some of these are dramatized. Either way, I found it interesting.

Is this place still called the West Side Tavern? If so, does anyone know the phone # or address or both? Thanks much.

Yes, this place is called West Side Tavern. It is located on Route 88 in Point Pleasant, NJ. I don’t know the exact number for the address. But I’ve been there and I had the wrapping from my straw move across the table when there was no wind source in site!!
