Real Haunted House

Governor’s Bridge

Anne Arundel County, Maryland

Many years ago, a young unmarried teen-aged girl became pregnant. Afraid to tell her parents, the girl took her newborn baby and dropped it over the side of the bridge. Realizing what she had done, the girl jumped from the bridge and fell to her own death. Today, the woman stands in the middle of the bridge, frightening drivers. One truck driver drove into the side of the bridge trying to avoid hitting the woman. When police went to investigate the scene, there was no evidence of anyone having been on the bridge.

Crybaby Bridge is on 214, headed toward Upper Marlboro, but still in Davidsonville, farthest side, toward UP MARL. Gov Bridge has more than one story, the white lady, the car crash, the abandoned gal waitin for her boyfriend to come back with gas. Grew up there, and ya hear it all. Wouldnt catch ME out there alone, too friggin creepy for this gal. Yea, that bridge was major low to the water, one lane. Sandy

Lived here my whole life. This was one of the first scary stories I heard of when I was like 6.Never been there and dont know anyone personally who has and has heard anything. Interesting though to hear stories. Then came Goatmans Bridge whic is located on Gardner Road between Accokeek, MD and Waldorf, MD. It used to be a one lane bridge, where you had to watch for oncoming traffic and see if it was safe to drive over. Now it is two lanes. I have not been out there at night and I have not seen anything during the day. Anyone got any info on this?

I went to Meade High School so it was close by..Road is creepy and never saw anything or heard anything. Couldn’t find the devil/satanic church. However isn’t it true some kids from Meade wrecked on that road and supposedly you can see watches imprinted on a tree, etc.

I was born and raised here in Maryland and have grown up knowing that cry baby bridge is in Ellicott City, Howard County. Atleast that is where I was always told and shown it was.

I actually live a few miles from this bridge. If you check through the capital you’ll see that throughout the years that quite a number of deaths have happened in and around the area. If people are interested, I would hold a trip to the bridge and show you the area in and around it.

Me and a few friends went there yesterday, it was very icey on the road to get down to it, so we decided to walk down. Halfway down away from the car we started walking and heard some metal slam against the road, there was snow all over the woods and we saw absolutely nothing, so we said forget this ****, got back in the car and of course what happened? we were stuck in snow. and had to push it out for about twenty minutes, it was terrible. So we went back around the other way to get there and we parked the car on the bridge, got out, and nothing happened, only thing I got was a bad vibe. and that was it.
