Real Haunted House

Governor’s Bridge

Anne Arundel County, Maryland

Many years ago, a young unmarried teen-aged girl became pregnant. Afraid to tell her parents, the girl took her newborn baby and dropped it over the side of the bridge. Realizing what she had done, the girl jumped from the bridge and fell to her own death. Today, the woman stands in the middle of the bridge, frightening drivers. One truck driver drove into the side of the bridge trying to avoid hitting the woman. When police went to investigate the scene, there was no evidence of anyone having been on the bridge.

I have lived right off Gov. Bridge Road my entire life. I can get to the bridge thru the woods behind my house. My brother, many friends and i have gone four wheeling in those woods and over that bridge a million times, at all different hours. We have never seen or heard anything. We all heard the stories growing up. We have all called it “Cry Baby Bridge” but only bc growing up thats what every one called it. But again, NEVER actually seen or heard anything. And trust me we’ve looked and listened!!!!

My husband and I drove up to the “Crybaby Bridge” on govn. Bridge rd. I am not gonna lie, it was creepy as hell and smelled horrible. And yes I know the stories. I really could have
Lived without is realizing we parked over a shredded deer carcus -.-’which was very odd because on our first trip across the bridge we didn’t see it. Then you get all the stupid drunk fucktards that are annoying as all he’ll, following you around and being nosey and watching you like a lost child. Anyway, we didnt really get to see much due to those ” oh so cool” drunk *****. My hubby and I plan to go back on another night and check it out again.’we
Will walk around the bridge and scope underneath it. That is if we can get passed that rotting smell.

yea, um crybaby bridge was not actually from a teenage mother blah blah. its the bridge that the kkk used to throw black babies off of, they also used to have meetings in the huge train tunnel. Ive been over the bridge and the tunnel. I found a noose and i went halfway through the tunnel just felt like it was never going to end. it was cold and at points we saw our breath. idkk, see for yourself.

I have driven over this bridge many times and quite often at night it is a one way bridge and when the river rises is often flooded but never have I driven across it at night and seen a women standing on the bridge or heard a crying baby. My ex husbands grandparents along with several friends of ours live off this road. While it makes for a good ghost story its not true.

Sounds like another woman in white type of story. They’re all over the place. They generally occur when a mother does away with her children for whatever reason then in terrible gilt and grief they do away with themselves. I’m a born and raised Marylander. I heard this story off and on throughout the years and one night a couple of friends and I got together to see if we would experience anything. Nothing happened to us out there that night but it was creepy. I think part of the creepy feelings at these sites comes from expectation of something happening not necessarily from something paranormal. I’ve long been a student of the paranormal. I term myself as a skeptical believer. I’ve experienced too many things personally to discount it but on the other hand, I really need something convincing to happen to me personally before I’ll agree a place is haunted. Too much stuff can be faked any more.

So me and my friends went there about 30 minutes ago. On the way home we started feeling watched and one of my friends freaked out, and started getting sick. We stopped at a BP gas station and looked on my roof, there were hand prints and a spot were something looked dragged, along with scratches that weren’t there before.

I heard there was this girl who had a baby and put it under the bridge and left. The baby was possessed and is half boy half goat and you can still hear the baby crying at night.

The story is very true ! the girl stabbed herself before falling off. Many things happen on that bridge. A old civil war guy drinking on the side of the brindge. seeing the girl jump off , throwing the baby over, standing in the middle of the lanes or in the middle of the river standing. Globs of light in the woods.
